It is great to see your dad get so far out of his comfort zone and explore the world. He looks like a little kid at Disneyland 😊 Just goes to show you are never too old to lose your sense of wonder.
We're so happy to have you onboard! Enjoy your travels, Alina 🌏👋🏻
Thank you so much! Really love your product
I'm going to check out your packages, my current insurance expires by the end of the year.

i was born in Hoi An and left Vietnam when i was a teen. life is quite peaceful back then. A great thing about Hoi An is that you can enjoy the ocean and river within a biking distance. Hope your dad and you enjoy your stay in HoiAn.
It is a lovely place! Really enjoyed our time there 🙂

I've been having a question about Hoi An and perhaps you could help: How much of what people are seeing in Hoi An now is genuine, and how much of it is just a semi-amusement park? My mom was born in the north, and spent a number years in Hoi An in the 60's before moving to Saigon. She was pretty surprised when she heard about Hoi An being a tourist attraction because, according to her, it was the sleepiest place she had lived in! Yes, it is a charming old town, but no lanterns, no shops, no tailors, no restaurants...pretty much nothing and no one around by 8pm! I have never been to Hoi An and would like to visit someday, but I'm been asking myself if all the things I've been seeing and hearing about Hoi An are just "made for tourists"? (And being someone who has had coffee 3 times a day since the age of 15, I'm pretty skeptical about that Vietnamese egg coffee, too, but that's for another day :)
Thank you Alina for this amazing video! I am very happy to see that your dad is appreciating this great journey in Vietnam, a beautiful country, and also the weather and the temperatures that must certainly be higher than in Canada. He is so loving and sweet.
He sure is. It turned to -40 right as he left!
@@AlinaMcleod Oh my God!

What a blessing to experience this with your father, please cherish these moments with your father. Many blessings to you and your family.
Thank you so much!
I was in Hoi An for 5 months in 2022 and it’s even better when it’s not the rainy season… although it’s hot. One of the best things to do is ride bikes or motorcycles around the countryside and rice fields. Very beautiful. And there’s also beaches nearby and hotels and cafes at the beach. Hoi An is my favorite place in Vietnam 🇻🇳
Glad you were finally able to see Hoi An after all the rain! Creating such lovely memories with your Dad. 🥰
It looks like such a charming town. One day I would love to visit.❤
Pretty impressive tour of Hoi An despite the flooding it had a quaint charm that was very evident. Never been to Vietnam but is on my list of places to go.
You absolutely should!

Love seeing your dad. He reminds me so much of my father when he was alive and in his prime. Such a kind soul.

Hi, Alina McLeod! Stunning sight of Hoi An by night, with all those lights ... 🤓you really are a mix of traveller and journalist, I think so! It's so nice to see the present you gave to your father by this trip in Vietnam, lucky him! Thanks for bringing us together, Alina! Greetings👋👋
Hi Alina! Hoi An is a wonderful well-preserved cultural treasure! As a key Southeast Asian trading port during the 15th to 19th centuries, Hoi An has a rich collection of buildings that display a variety of local and foreign influences. It's also great to see you and your dad enjoying some savory meals together in Vietnam! Awesome place!!! Fantastic food!!!
Nice Vidio. Thanks Alina and Dad..we loving from Indonesia 🥰
What a beautiful area Alina! I always learn from your videos. 👩🏻❤👩🏻👩🏻❤👩🏻
Aw thank you! I hope you’re feeling well ❤️
@@AlinaMcleod I'll email you luv!
Vietnam in your beautiful eyes .
One thing that would be a great experience is attending a wedding and reception in Vietnam.
I have been to two in Canada and the women (if I remember correctly) change their dresses 5 times from beginning to end.
Love your videos, keep them coming.
We have alot of Viets living here
Most have small businesses or shrimp boats, but some are welders in shipyards
I met one that shot in the leg as a member of the ARVN during the fall of Saigon in 1975. He was lucky enough to be evacuated to the US fleet just offshore.
I met another one who grew up in the communist north and came of age just in time to be conscripted and fight against the Chinese in 1978, after the Hanoi government invaded Cambodia and deposed Pol Pot and the Khmer Rouge while the Chinese president was visiting Jimmy Carter, the Chinese retaliated by invading North Vietnam. It was a bloodbath The guy escaped with the Boat People in the early 80s. 👍😊🇺🇦🇺🇸🇨🇦
We loved it there!!! It's fun to watch you walk the very same roads, that flooding was something else 😅😳
I travel to Hong Kong with my parents once, it was their first time travelling abroad. I actually had a better time travelling with them than my friend. They enjoyed every restaurants, every attraction I take them to. I want to do it again maybe next year
I am at work right now, but I am looking forward to watching it when I get home. That's how excited I am watching you in Vietnam.
Another great vid! Thx Alina!
Great scenery, thanks for the share. :)
Great video! Love that your dad was there to experience it with you!
Great information 👍 👌 enjoyed your video
Thank you!
😊 hai Alina 🌹 have nice day, good view end'so delicious food 👍👍
Great video. Looks like you had an amazing time. We also loved hoi an.
As your dad just said, " pretty awesome". Thanks Alina.👍😊
Thanks for the travel insurance, we definitely will use them. All the beautiful lanterns, so beautiful there. Definitely would wanted to visit there, out of all the places you have visited.
My pleasure! Hope you like it as much as I do 🙂
cool old town Alina, have a nice lunch with your father and hope you both are always healthy. I just found your video again and greetings from Indonesia, keep it up 👈👍👍👍
Hoi An is a lovely place, very nice indeed! 😱
steady your father..i hope your Daddy happy always..see you Alina and Daddy.. good night
Just love these videos with your dad. And stay there dad - it's turning real cold in MB, SK, and even BC
Stay toasty!
Thanks for another beautiful window on the world Alina.
My pleasure!
Great to see your dad enjoying this adventure with you. You can tell he's a Saskatchewan farmer when his response to a question about the flooding is that it's nice to see some moisture! (I could totally hear my dad saying something similar.) Thanks for this glimpse of Hoi An.
Hello Alina and Gordy . Hope you're doing ok. What a beautiful video. The Musical Score was just perfect for the video. Where did you get the music and who is it? And seeing the Night Markets
is special. Harriet and I enjoyed the food in Hoi An , as well. You are the master painter, painting a picture on canvass (video). Gordy you bring out the best in your daughter. She glistens when
she speaks. Good job all the way around. Sending you much love❤❤❤ from Richmond, Va. Harriet, Jim and Yuki
Thanks guys! I find my music for videos on Epidemic Sound
Great travel video of Hoi An! VN Ice coffee has condensed milk so it’s sweet.Egg coffee is also available ( more popular in Hà Noi). Tip for crossing busy streets in big cities : crossing together with group of 3-4 people so you are more visible. Also raise your hand up and....run fast. Enjoy the rest of vn trip with your dad .
I think you are one of the best tourist guide ❤
I love to follow your travel chanel.❤.So informative and authentic.. Very sweet of you to be travelling with your dad and include him in your conversations.
Many young people don't do that much...I wished I could travel more with my parents but unfortunately they have passed on...
amazing video! Enjoy your travels, Alina
Thank you!
We were there 10 years ago and made a point of renting bicycles and getting out of the main tourist area. There are many rural roads that aren't busy and it was fun to simply explore the local area. Some of the local beaches were also accessible by bicycle and it was interesting to see the round boats the local fishermen used. Quite unusual. Perhaps the timelines have changed on the local clothes making but I'm pretty sure my wife had something made in only a few days.
Keep up the great work. You and your dad do Saskatchewan and Canada proud!
Yes the more quiet streets in Hoi An are fantastic as well. We went to a local market way north of the old town and felt very welcome, great place.
Hey alina McLeod nice recorrido en hoi an nice , gente , mercado , restaurante , comida, turistas, coffee tempo, bonita ciudad y te miras bonita! en el barco
Hello Alina . i am from Vancouver , i love your channel
Thank you very much!
-10 in Brockville, Ontario this a.m. When would the best time of the year for sunny weather in Vietnam Alina? Love your daughter dad trip.
Well December - March is the most popular time because for most locations in Vietnam it's the dry season and fairly warm. If you want really hot weather though you can go April - August but you're running the risk of a lot of rain.
hello Alina..i from Malaysia..i like Vietnam..i want visit VIETNAM.. thanks you
Thank you for introducing my native country to people around the world. I am one of your fans who support you. I hope one day I can be digital nomad like you.
Best thing which I liked is that you are shooting this with your father.Very good daughter.keep it up
it is the first time i see this channel but it is fantastic, congrats Alina Mcleod
Quality time with your dad. I love it!
I live in southeast Asia one country over :) and rain is just another state of the day for me, my girlfriend swears I am insane because in Bangkok I will go off walking in the rain and just have a great time because my days are not infinite and a rainy day will not stop me from enjoying it at all. After all I was born wet so being wet won't hurt me at all.... :)
I love your dad he is savage! "Hey dad you are on fire!!!!" dads response "Why yes it appears that I am indeed on fire". He is very laid back... lol Thanks for the ride along on to Hoi An... :)
Love your dad and amazing that you two are travelling together, I'm on your Cambodia episode now, looking forward to more of Cambodia.
Such a wonderful video
So cool you were able to spend some sometime with your dad and vlog. It has insprired me to do same. You never know if you will get the chance to do it later.
Beautiful peaceful place and nice video, let's keep exploring and share. Good luck wishes to you and your father. 🌻🌻
Good night beautiful woman in Vietnam and you have beautiful night sleep well in Vietnam
It's been a while. Nice to see you with your father, Alina.
HOI AN VIETNAM TOURIST DESTINATION BEAUTIFUL VIETNAM THANK YOU 🎉SOUTH EAST ASIA
Thật tiếc vì hai banh gặp thời tiết gặp mưa.
My favorite stop in Vietnam. The museums, the various temples, and the pottery shops, I especially liked.
When will you visit Huế, that’s my hometown !
Hopefully on my next trip!
I watched this clip and I felt very warm that you took your father on a trip and I hope you will have the opportunity to continue your visit to Bangkok, my country :)
When you get noodle bowls like cau lau in Vietnam, stir it up before eating or it won't be flavorful as the sauce is at the bottom of the bowl. Some noodle bowls like bun thit nuong may come with it's own fish sauce on the side for you to dump into your bowl before stirring and eating (the central version may already come sauced). The rice dish may also come with it's own sauce. Please always ask the vendor or locals how to eat it so you can get the proper taste because if you don't know how to eat Vietnamese food properly, it can appear bland only because you may have done it wrong.
Ibu kota Vietnam sangat keren ini 👍💪
So nice to travel with the Dad. Hoi An is so nice, I like to taste Banh Mi (Vietnamese bread) there. Thank you so much for making film of it! Best wishes to you and your Dad!
If you are still in DaNang make sure you go to Ba A Hill what a trip
very nice video, thanks for sharing.....
Amazing city and so amazing trip !!
The old town feels very Chinese, I always thought Vietnam would have a more tropical architecture like Thai, but this feels more southern China, very similar to cities around Shanghai
Very interesting! It’s awesome that your dad is there too. I like his reactions.
It's been 3 years since I watched your last video (pre Covid), I have to say now you look rather different (🤭 thanks to the delicious foods you encountered in your travels, I assume). I went to Hoi An in 2006 and back then things were quite different too, e.g., only the west-bank of the River Thu-bon was populated, the other side was mostly rural. Back then no entry fee was charged to enter the town centre, and shops/restaurants were less crowded as they are today. This time your mum is not travelling with you guys, I guess there must be a reason for it. Have a wonderful journey, though. All the best.
In South East Asia, the ice and the seltzer water in the draft soda will be local tap water, not bottled water. You might get the Katmandu-doos. I'm still wearing a suit and a shirt I had made in Hoi An. I was there three times, got clothes made and they were ready next day, before the early bus.
Hoi an was my dad’s home town. Hoi an gets flooded almost every year during this time of the year. Hello from LA
such a great trip with your dad......great memories
It is so great to see your dad enjoying this adventure.
Hi Alina, I like ur natural blend with your Dad and the ease - while exploring HoiAn, it seems an eating daytout, i appreciate the fact of ur exploration even though it was flooded. On my VN tour i will visit HoiAn.
Thoroughly enjoying ur videos, cheers and keep it up☄
Take care always my love, God blssd and your family, peace be with you 🙏❤

Hello Alina,
I also experienced heavy rain in Hoi An. Glad to see, You also had a day without rain to enjoy. On my trip, I also had a day with better weather.
The video brings be right in the middle of Hoi An again.
The idea of a health insurance based on a credit card is very good..
Best regards, Ralf
I’ve had shirts and shorts made in one or two days. No problem
Nice
