Thank you very much for the content. I just picked up a 63' Boxtop in great condition and mostly original and looking to bag it. I will duplicate your air ride system for the most part but I'll probably use compressors that are more quiet.
Thanks for the great info, I just watched all of this series. I have a 63 I am looking to do this with in the future. I have been seeing people in high end bronco builds and similar that are using the factory window crank as the switch for power windows. I'm not sure how they're doing it but I really like that idea, since it lets you keep the factory look.
There is a block you can buy that has a shaft for your handle to mount on but doesn't actually crank. It just has microswitches that the crank pushes on. Nice but costly. We'll see what happens. The motor kit arrived yesterday!
20 inch smoothies from Detroit steel wheels would look really good on your ride. I’d convert the rear doors to suicide doors too. I wonder if the hinges would work from a Lincoln continental
That Galaxie is a fabulous old girl sir :-) And ya... too many gadgets become a drag when you have to track down what drains your batttery dead ten years after you install said power device and have to spray down all the contacts with contact cleaner then dab on some dialectic grease here and there... hand crank windows don't do that to ya :-)) But... while they are working they are convenient... for a time :-))
On another note, are you going going convert the generator to a 3g alternator if it's not already done? It'd be nice to see a how to video on that as I'm looking to do that myself. Thanks.
Hey, been watching your little series and i love how detailed you get and that you let us see all the problems and solving you do! Im from sweden and got a 63 country sedan im thinking of airbagging. Just wondering about shock absorbers, will you run without it?
In the rear the factory shocks are acting as my limiting straps. They are shot and should be replaced. In the front I plan to run shocks on an arm designed for about a 1950 F1 shock. I bought a set off somebodies shelf of unused parts but if I show that in a video I'll find a link to the same part.
They do a little. I think you can see it in the part 3 video. This is a way to get low quickly and on a budget. If you are making any amount of power I would have concerns about axle wrap. For a cruiser that sees limited miles and just goes up and down, it has been working just fine. I have an 8.8 with limited slip and disc brakes. If that finds its way into this Galaxie, it will be installed with a 4 link. Thanks for watching!
Look at all those Fords in the driveway. Looks like mine.....2 F150, 500, and a Galaxie 500.
Great video man
There are more out back unfortunately. And in the shed of course.
Great stuff I’m a FOMOFO myself dig your content cheers on keeping it Real 🤙
Really enjoying your channel. I have a 64 Galaxie 4dr too and you’re doing all the things I’m interested in.
I just found your channel. I have a 1961 fairlane 500 that I’m thinking about bagging it.

They are quite loud with the car not running but otherwise I don't notice it too much.

I think it will become a necessity soon as the car becomes more and more electrified!

@@ssmonte8738 Okay, thanks! Keep up the good work! :)
Looking good man. What setup did you end up using on the front end?
Do your leaf springs warp much with the missing leafs?
