- Build info on DoubleMint, the former Forest Service truck that was given a second chance as an amazing off-road rig with a solid axle swap and 37" tires.
Offroading is like a dance between man, machine, and Mother Nature.
woah
i got a forest service green 98 ranger with the 4L v6 also but its a 2wd
Add an Atlas transfer case and a front axle and you’ll be ready to have some fun!
Badass rig and excellent video man! Who owns the truck now ?
It was a cool rig. You don’t see too many SAS Rangers running around. It attracted a lot of attention, which was fun. Not much aftermarket available though. The guy that bought it came up from the Atlanta area.
@@TarheelOverland loving the content man! Keep them coming !
Jesus loves you alot trust in His death 4 salvation and be saved from eternal hell
This thing is beautiful, awesome build man
How's that BW1354 holding up? That's the limiting factor of the M5OD, the weird output flange.
That is a nice Ranger
Thanks!
Awesome truck man! I feel like the full size bronco springs are a little too heavy on the spring rate for a ranger. Probably elinates the need for any need for a swaybar though.
8:30 Where's that? Looks nice.
Hey how's it going what is the height of the bottom of your frame
Do you feel that your gear ratio in low enough?
What rear differential? I have a 97
Are you planning on keeping the ranger? Or selling it?
Hi Anthony, I sold it about 18 months ago.
My question everyone keeps telling me I can't run 37s on my 99 3.0 4x4 I have 4.10 gears 5 speed manual would I really have any issues with the 37s?
I wouldn’t recommend it. I had 4.88s and wished I had lower gearing, especially off-road. You might be able to get away with it on the street, but your clutch will hate you.
You stated it has '79 Dana 44. I am guessing this would be a 449F with reverse cut gears?
I know this is a year old, but are you available for a couple of questions?
What brush guard is that ?
Affordable Off-road
How did you manual swap the T case?
awesome truck!
solid build!
