Finally some One Piece love. Also to add to how a show that long keeps getting better, its because the world was established very early on as being huge and having many strong characters in it and instead of expanding the scope of the world with each arc (like DBZ or Fairy Tail do by adding in enemies or guilds no one has ever heard of again and again), the show fills in a world thats already been established. Kaido was first mentioned in 2006, but didnt appear in the manga until 2015. NINE YEARS LATER. There isnt any other show that could set up important characters and story elements then build into them for a decade without rushing to use up that story capital as quickly as possible. Most shows introduce a new big bad character then resolve that character within a dozen episodes and never hear from them again. One Piece is the opposite of that. Character development is another thing that makes it so great. Even random side characters have deep backstories and are believable because of it.

@@hassanarif8208 i bet he still didnt like it because when you reading from the start and people hyping it about the future arc sometime people get overwhelmed or expecting too much.
I think Joey and Garnt must've watched through Dressrosa, which is why they felt it was so long. Even in the manga it was still dragged out and could've been paced way better, but there were literally like 15-20 more anime episoees of it than manga chapters. Keep in mind that a good adaptation of a manga should be like 2-3 chapters per episode, and Dressrosa was doing less than 1 chapter per episode
I always was a casual anime watcher, but Oreimo made me dive the rabbit hole. He is 100% correct when he said its not just all about incest. The incest parts was just a decision at the end, the dynamics of the characters from ep1 to the last 3 episodes were the best!!! OP was great too. Oreimo will always have a special place in my soul.

Them: talking about how long rewatching One Piece would take. Me: *has caught up on all 1k and 1 episodes of Detective Conan and is waiting for the rest*
I think I'm one of those people, I recently read One Piece for the first time and yeah, even though didn't some parts of arcs like Dressrosa, Skypiea , Thriller Bark and Whole Cake for the most part I really loved them. The only bad arc for me was the Ussop introduction arc.
I wonder what Garnt’s 3 x 3 is now that he’s discovered Mushoku Tensei, but man once seasons 2, 3, and 4 come in it might even pop up in joey and connor’s (mostly joey tho)
Oreimo was always about the siblings reconnecting, familiarly first then eventually romantically, the Otaku stuff early on was just a pretext to get them to hang out together. In that light, the incest ending shouldn't've been so spontaneous and "out of nowhere" as is believed. The downside to the series is that it didn't end in harem, although the Kirino end is a nice compromise.
it was Oreimo that I discovered one of greatest seiyuu Saori being ayase. I don't think she was that well known back then but my god her acting was so good. Oh yeah a HUGE number of fans were so so disappointed and infuriated when the author chose the incest route as the ending. I thought the author did it on purpose because in the game you could choose other characters , and the author might just want to promote the game , which probably had much higher margin than the lightnovel.
Oreimo actually had some good non-incestuous romance in it between the MC and Kuroneko. I've honestly erased the ending from my brain somehow, because I don't remember the series going full incest. All I really remember was the sister being an obsessive otaku, and the romance between the MC and Kuroneko. Everything else is a blur.
The ending is somehow the only thing I can remember. I'm sorry, but I was not a fan of Kuroneko. She's the embodiment of the worst parts of a tsundere. She made too many 180's. On the other hand, Kirino's progression was so natural and slow. There wasn't a defining moment, and the ending just incorporates all of that. It's satisfying
@@fanu3p900 She definitely has the tsundere personality, but she's not your typical tsundere. Since, much of the first season isn't even about the romance
I remember watching oreimo having no idea of what it was other than it being a harem and being popular in the community through Mal. S1 was pretty good, S2 was also good until it reached the last 3 episode and it becoming complete insest. I was a relatively innocent 13 year old at the time.
@@hououinkyouma45 Definitely the manga. One Piece is slow in the beginning but it gets better with every arc. Ch 1-60: 7/10 Ch 61-320: 8/10 Ch 321-600: 10/10 Ch 600-current: 9.5/10 Take your time and it is definitely worth it.
One piece is my favourite ‘manga’. But It’s really weird, before I started it people were always praising how amazing it was and that it was probably unrivaled. But now I see so many people shitting on it, it does make me kind of sad because I know it’s amazing.
I legit believe people who talk sh1t on One Piece is just people who are too lazy to actually dive into it. They're too afraid seeing the number of chapter/episodes it has. I have re-read One Piece like at least 5 times now, and it still get me everytime. I still shed tear when a character told their backstory. Honestly outside of anime films and nostalgia. Black lagoon is one of the few animies i actually like, interesting message at its core, irredeemable character’s that are what they are. And they don’t change into the tropy antihero, it gives you exactly what you want, then just fuckin ends. And i don’t even mind if it doesn’t get another season.
one piece marineford arc is one of the greatest experience (if not greatest) i have seen in anime and manga, one of the best arcs in anime for sure
Agreed
@gamerrss hays let's be real you didn't even watch until at least the marineford arc 😒😒 stop saying some show is trash when you didn't even complete it....🙄
@gamerrss hays bro what are you saying? speak for yourself
@gamerrss hays Lol alright say what you want to say
@gamerrss hays okay
Gigguk taking one for the team on defending Oreimo... Go tell em my dude!
Black lagoon is my favorite anime and it definetly deserve some more love
Wow, didn't expect to have Gigguk exclaim how much he loves One Piece. This is one of my favorite clips.
He used to talk about it and other shonen titles a lot in his early videos. He even made a top 20 list of his favourite anime characters and put Zoro in it.
He didn't get to talk about Black Lagoon afterall.
Notice how Connor has to keep himself even more drunk to protect himself from the trash waves in the room's atmosphere.
Garnt : Ero-Manga sensei is trash from episode one
Let me guess, is it because it was immediately revealed that they aren't blood related?
I’m scared to see Connor’s he’s gonna troll us.
His list is actually good yet they rip on him for it being too good.
Sees evangelion and fate zero: i see the god of culture
I'm sad they never ended up talking about Black Lagoon
The look on Connor’s face while Garnt defends Oreimo 🤣
we need a whole one piece podcast. where they show connor the beauty of one piece
And now that Connor has finally decided to read it, I want this podcast more than ever. Or just a Connor One Piece blind review. Just give me more One Piece.
@@hassanarif8208 i bet he still didnt like it because when you reading from the start and people hyping it about the future arc sometime people get overwhelmed or expecting too much.

Oreimo literally is: degenerates in denial coming to terms with it.
The disgust in Joey's voice when he ge said "we can ignore the filth in the middle" 🤣
They never got back to Black Lagoon
I was waiting for him to talk about black lagoon 😔
I think Joey and Garnt must've watched through Dressrosa, which is why they felt it was so long. Even in the manga it was still dragged out and could've been paced way better, but there were literally like 15-20 more anime episoees of it than manga chapters. Keep in mind that a good adaptation of a manga should be like 2-3 chapters per episode, and Dressrosa was doing less than 1 chapter per episode
Yeah, Dressrosa and sky island were good in the manga (imo)
Garnt is just cultured.
connors face the entire time garnt is talking about oreimo is taking me out 😭🤣🤣🤣
Bro, when he said re:zero is just a gimmick, has this man read arc 6
He said those remarks in 2016. Mannnnn re zero was lit Corneas regulus vs Subaru, emilia and Rein Hard van astrea.... Littttttt af
Nope he haven't read the Novels but if Arc 6 gets Animated
I think he will like it very much than Season 2, I can already see it
I mean the gimmick got me into the show. Come for the gimmick, stay for the unusually good characters
"What is, what is Oreimo about"
Oh Connor. You poor sheltered soul. God i wish i was you and just didnt know
“It’s not about incest; incest just happens in it...
...100%. It went full incest”
Connor is that disappointed dad and garnt is like "guilty as charged babyy"
Evangelion, Baccano, Fate Franchise, Haruhi, One Piece, Black Lagoon, Kimi no Na Wa.
Pure Cultured.

There can be heartwarming incest instances, at least objectively.

the instant trauma nostalgia joey had when garnt mentioned the foxy arc
I hate foxy arc because SHP are losing when i watched the first time, but it is fine arc in my opinion XD
Black Lagoon Ah yes, great show.
mine would be:
-girls last tour
-gunslinger girl
-diebuster
-yuru camp
-dissapearence of haruhi suzumiya+endless eight
-made in abyss
-violet evergarden
-alien 9
-ichigo mashimaro

i do agree that people tend to forget to mention and criticize most of the shit arcs in one piece, but the good ones...are damn spectacular
I think I'm one of those people, I recently read One Piece for the first time and yeah, even though didn't some parts of arcs like Dressrosa, Skypiea , Thriller Bark and Whole Cake for the most part I really loved them. The only bad arc for me was the Ussop introduction arc.
Didn't talk about Black Lagoon sadge
Didn’t hear him talk about why he enjoyed black lagoon...
Whenever Connor hears loli or incest, he really never let's it go does he.
Because he’s not (as much of) a degenerate
If loli is normalised for you, you have gone too deep and should pull back.
Cuz he ain't a pedo
Cuz he's not a weirdo lmao loli is such a gross trope
Yeah honestly really weird how somebody could have a problem with the sexualization of underaged girls and literal incest 💀
I cant wait the day Garnt's sons and daughters find out their dad's top 9 anime had oreimo
I wonder what Garnt’s 3 x 3 is now that he’s discovered Mushoku Tensei, but man once seasons 2, 3, and 4 come in it might even pop up in joey and connor’s (mostly joey tho)
Well Joey loves clannad,so it's obvious that he will like the future seasons of mushoku tensei
@@Lonst_183 Oh shit didn’t know that! Clannad is pretty great too!
Joey seems to be a Kuroneko faction and Garnt is Kirino faction.... lol
For most of the video Conor looked like my dad the first time he caught me smoking weed. Such disappointment in his eyes.
13:05 Connor slowly dying in this form of degeneracy
Damm black lagoon? Hell yeah
No one ever talks about Log Horizon. That show is fantastic
@@Kintaro426 she....she wasn't even a tsundere lol she was very honest with her emotions
@@fanu3p900 Only for the second season, after she confessed. But, she was very much a tsundere in the first season

I love Connors expressions when Garnt talks about oreimo
He looked like someone's disappointed dad lol
I remember watching oreimo having no idea of what it was other than it being a harem and being popular in the community through Mal. S1 was pretty good, S2 was also good until it reached the last 3 episode and it becoming complete insest. I was a relatively innocent 13 year old at the time.
I think One Piece has the best world building in anime
i think one piece won in anime world building I cant remember what award that wad
One piece has the best world building in any form of fiction. The only thing that competes it is Lord of the Rings.
@@shahidahamed621 I wanna get into One Piece, what do you recommend me manga or anime?
@@hououinkyouma45 Definitely the manga. One Piece is slow in the beginning but it gets better with every arc.
Ch 1-60: 7/10
Ch 61-320: 8/10
Ch 321-600: 10/10
Ch 600-current: 9.5/10
Take your time and it is definitely worth it.
If you love anime, I really recommend people to dive into One Piece. You won't regret it.
Read the manga!
Still Can't wrap my head around Teach's personality. He's a schemer, but also reckless and a coward.
Cmon man you gotta acknowledge that if people doesn't want to get into an anime with more than 1000 episodes isn't lazy, that's a serious commitment. More if you are an adult
too shounen, dont know how to word it, but too shounen is kinda fit my feeling for one piece
Facts
Garnt talking about One Piece makes me feel happy lol. It's been 1.5 years since this video was recorded and it's gotten even better the last like 40 chapters up to and including chapter 1060 has blown everyone's dick off. Oda is the most entertaining producer of fiction of all time.
