I’m all over the place with music, I have a hard time with most country and most rap, because I can’t relate. But I was going through an anthem/metal phase. Queens, We Will Rock You, Fun., Some Nights. John Newman, Love Me Again. The drums and the belting, took me to Mushroomhead, the Faceless, and some old school Anthrax, Suicidal Tendencies, and anything Max Cavalera has done(he is awesome!). Some how lead me to Aurora, and I have listening to Norwegian Folk music... who knew???

This is definitely a rabbit hole you want to go down. I just discovered this amazing young lady two months ago. I have since listened to almost all of her songs and many interviews. Very unique person. She is so kind and her music will transport you to another dimension. She is so mesmerizing to watch. Some are turned off by her animated hand movements, but I love it. She is so expressive and loses herself in her music. I agree with TT TT suggestions. The Nidarostomen performances are amazing. Through the eyes of a child is so breathtakingly beautiful, I have to listen to it every day. I would also suggest "Runaway" either the music video or the performance at the 2015 Nobel peace prize concert. Aurora says it's a good place to start her music. She wrote it when she was 11 years old. Please continue to react to her. You won't regret it.

At 24, AURORA has quite a diverse repertoire. She's always mesmerizing, and her voice just pulls you in and takes you with her on a journey. Her performances and songs range from folk ballads to orchestral to trip-synth to percussive high energy -- songs often build as you listen to them, adding various elements along the way. I strongly recommend reactions to other live performances, for instance, her highly energetic KEXP performance in Iceland (with Bjork in the audience), where she sings "Churchyard" and "All is Soft Inside.”

Hi Matt! You are amongst very few male commentators that didn't pretend not to understand what this song is about, instead talking about only her voice and outfit... Some of them actually laugh away as they listen to it!!! Of course this song is about domestic abuse, I recommend River for you. She wrote it after she read the statistics about male suicide rate and how both genders are a victim of macho male toxicity culture. She also has a song called The murder song 1,2,3,4,5. I recommend her performance in nobel peace prize concert of 2015. Since it is performed there, it can be interpreted in many ways, such as in wars, where one's lover is injured and suffering but there is no hope of help, or in my case when I had to ask the doctors to end my grandmother's life, or when I had to euthanize my 16 year old Lab/Great dane boy. However she wrote it when she read the story about a man who shot his wife, because of a terminal illness. She performs it in an ambiguous way, because euthanasia is illegal in Norway...So again double meaning...Anyway I applaud your intellect...

Great reaction - she is definitely mesmerizing!
Aurora is the total package - singer, songwriter, musician, dancer, producer/arranger, choreographer, and an absolutely lovely human being (and she’s just 24 years old!). She will often perform her songs quite differently - sometimes with her band, other times stripped down to just her and one instrument, a cappella, with full orchestra, etc. - so it is definitely worth listening to different versions of the same song. Also, some of her videos are mini-masterpieces as well.
A short list of original songs:
Runaway - Nobel Peace Prize concert and her music video
Through the Eyes of a Child - Nidarosdomen concert, my recommendation Live Stripped - VIVO UK Lift
It Happened Quiet - Nidarosdomen concert, but I'd recommend the live at The Current version as well
    Churchyard - Live on KEXP
Winter Bird - Nidarosdomen concert and her music video
Murder Song 5,4,3,2,1 - Nobel Peace Prize Concert
    Lucky - Nidarosdomen concert
Little Boy in the Grass - Nidarosdomen concert
The Seed - Music Video, HAIK Concert
The River - Music video, Live in Bergen 2020
Exist For Love - Music video,
    Daydreamer - Music video
She also does some awesome covers:
Life on Mars - David Bowie
    Believer - Imagine Dragons
God is a Woman - Ariana Grande
Across the Universe - John Lennon
    Teardrop - Massive Attack

Just subscribed. Another Norwegian singer you should listen to is Angelina Jordan, a child prodigy jazz singer, although she has over 130 covers of various genres. To start, try ‘I put a spell on you’ the black and white version when she was 9, and her new release ‘7th heaven’ which she wrote. She is 15 here. Of course, if jazz is not your thing, there are plenty of others to choose. Be warned... if you listen to I put a spell on you, she might just do that. She has to the many millions of fans around the world.

Aurora's music is not something you would search for, but you are right in the movie soundtrack bit. She is featured in several Movies and TV series. My recommendation for something to check out next, because its the complete opposite of this song (and i love it) is "Under the water" Live at VEVOHalloween. And probably get used to getting recommendations to listen to her live. There is just something magical about it. The two songs i personally feel are just as good in the music video are either "The Seed" or "Winterbird" because either the message or the artistry is so strong in the videos.
Stay safe and take care! :)

what a lovely performance, i think it's one of her best prformances at all. if you want to know a bit about her background in music, i'd like to reccommend three artists: agnes obel, susanne sundfor and ane brun.
to start with is agnes obel, "the curse" from the berlin live sessions, which is a feast both for your ears and eyes

or "familiar" live, where she sings with this two different voices
    ruclips.net/video/JfEoxFsF7x4/видео.html
further i'd like to reccommend two songs by susanne sundfør, "undercover" live
ruclips.net/video/A-uRyOu4YV4/видео.html where she shows her immense vocal and songwriting skills, or "the brothel" live at cigalle

susanne sundfor is a master in songwriting and composing, in addition to her very unique and powerful voice.
finally i'd like to introduce you to ane brun, who is also a wonderful voice in the nordic music landscape. first of all, she is a huge role model for aurora and played exclusively an aurora cover of "all is soft inside", which was featured in a documentary about aurora called "haik". here you'll find it:

auroras face when she realized that ane brun is playing her song is priceless.
to end, i'd reccomend the song "last breath"

Hi! Can you also react to SB19? They are from the Philippines. They are PPOP. They just uploaded their latest MV entitled WHAT❓ the leader wrote, compose and co-produce the song. the youngest is the creative director and the Main Vocalist choreographed the song too :)
Fun fact: according to a friend of the production they have limited budget for this MV. The production is All Filipino. The scene on desert is actually Lahar , volcanic mudflow and not sand. All of it was shot Here in the Philippines

Subscribed for Aurora. Welcome to our newest Weirdo and Warrior. Aurora attracts Metal Heads and as mentioned, she is a metal head. Another song with her, a guitar and an other singer is AURORA - MURDER SONG (5,4,3,2,1) - The 2015 Nobel Peace Prize Concert ruclips.net/video/vh0SWTVwXxw/видео.html You are not the first reactor who doesn't pause. Many get caught up in the song. As for blocking I have yet to see any reactions to her live stuff being blocked. The only exception may be the appearance on Jimmy Fallon.
She has many top quality live concerts out there. Last year she did at least 3 Covid-19 concerts. Also she changes up her songs from performance to performance. The same song is often rearranged at different concerts with the exception being her festival gigs which is understandable.

If you like Aurora you should have a listen to Eivør another artist from the Nordic countries.
It is not metal but the performance in Falling Free (ruclips.net/video/KNPIdGBn7M4/видео.html)
    is pretty spectacular.

This song is kind of a rape and revenge story. The boyfriend goes too far and rapes his girlfriend ("love is wild"). After that he kills her for fear of the consequences. Her soul dies during the rape. Inwardly she falls apart into "a thousand pieces" (the "crying land" is her soul), even though she was as strong as a "stone" before and is "broken into sand". She is in shock. She can only scream inside ("silent call"). When he murders her, she bleeds out to death and she look "like a flower on the medow" in his bed. Then he buries her bloody body outside the window (red ground). After that she came back ("return from the shadows") as his guilty conscience and this (her) voice in his head is louder than his own ("don't you speak over my voice"). She bleed in his bed, turn it red again and again. She will always haunt him.
