- Georgia put death row inmate Willie Pye to death in its first execution since before the Covid pandemic. Pye, 59, was convicted of murder and other charges in the 1993 slaying of his former girlfriend. WXIA’s Cody Alcorn reports.

Justice has been served. Pye knew that Florida is a death penalty state...so when he chose to murder that woman, he also chose his own fate.

unless these people upset are the victims or family of victims, they should have no say if the prisoner dies or not.. sucks but if the prisoner did something very bad, they need to to be punished...
Long jail sentences punish, execution does not.
Very progressive
This is just awful. How is this still an acceptable punishment in the 21st century? The death penalty isn't even consitutional because it's both cruel and unusual. We're supposed to be better than the perpetrator, not commit a similar act. It's a basic human right to preserve life regardless of what a criminal does.
