Do not agree at all with Alan Wake 2 over TOTK. I get it, with the David Lynch narrative and gorgeous settings, especially with the live-action sequences. But after the thirtieth jump-scare of a face screaming on screen, it just became good, not great. And the aspects of the brain room / scene room quickly became more "click anywhere until it sticks" work.
How is starfield so high on the list with it sitting at "Mostly Negative" reviews on Steam? That was quite a weird selection IMO. I understand no one list can contain all games but some of the entries are questionnable.

Hi-Fi Rush should be much higher on this list. And Lies of P deserves way more praise than it gets. But I think High On Life gets no love and it was a very unique underrated fps.
Hi-Fi Rush is a stretch. There are about 10 games that would win game of the year in most other years and a ton just behind them which makes that iffy.

Seeing that guy was scarier than anything on Alan Wake 2 😱
Remnant 2 was absolutely incredible!!
It looks great, I wonder if you need to play the first one before it?
@@gambello1195nah u dont, they allude to things that happened but its a different story. Deff play it, its awesome and shoulda been on this list
It’s a shame amnesia the bunker and remnant 2 didn’t even get a mention. Also I didn’t like lies of P as much as everyone else but I’m surprised it’s not on here.
Remnant 2 not making this list is almost unsub-worthy
Do not agree at all with Alan Wake 2 over TOTK. I get it, with the David Lynch narrative and gorgeous settings, especially with the live-action sequences. But after the thirtieth jump-scare of a face screaming on screen, it just became good, not great. And the aspects of the brain room / scene room quickly became more "click anywhere until it sticks" work.
How is starfield so high on the list with it sitting at "Mostly Negative" reviews on Steam? That was quite a weird selection IMO.
I understand no one list can contain all games but some of the entries are questionnable.
Why the hell is MK1 even here
I'm sorry, but if this is the best list you guys can compile, I can only reach one conclusion: 2023 was an absolutely shitty year for games.
No Lies of P... interesting. Lol
Placing starfield over spiderman is outragious
Mine (not in any order):
•Dead Space Remake
•Resident Evil 4
•Star Wars Jedi: Survivor
•Hi-Fi Rush
•Starfield
•Spider-Man 2
•Baldur’s Gate 3
•Dead Island 2
No mention of Remnant 2 and Hogwarts Legacy but u include Starfield. Looks like im growing apart from WhatCulture
I don't think they played the same Starfield I did....
Not only is it not in the top 10, it's not in the top 20 from this year.
A bit taken aback that Starfield is so high on the list and perhaps I wouldn't be as such if "RANKED" wasn't in the title of the video.
Starfield over Hifi rush, Lies of P and Hogwarts? really? i mean i respect your opinion but gaddem what a trash list
Starfield far to high man. It was good but so many of the ones below are far better. Good but nowhere near the top 10
Glad to see Robocop getting love.
I was kinda hoping to see Pizza Tower appear somewhere in this list (then again, I know this is the list for you guys, from the games you guys played and liked, not gonna blast y'all for it - different opinions and all that. But if you guys haven't tried out Pizza Tower, please do as soon as you can.)
Wait no Lies of P? Seriously? Its easily in a top 5 games of this year, smh.
Not really gaming related, but Scott is a whole snack and I crush on that dude hard. :) x
for me it's Final Fantasy 16. I avoided the trailers and went in basically blind.
Glad to see Josh Brown is doing fine
Why wouldn't he? Did I miss something?
@@rollingstar1111took some personal time off.
He’s had awesome support from staff and fans the like ❤️
Sorry starfield better than spiderman. This whatculture or ign
This was such an amazing year for games. I got to as many of them as I could but Baldurs Gate 3 required so much time I missed out on games like Robocop, Armored Core and Sea of Stars.
(I was about to get indignant on behalf of Chained Echoes but I looked it up first and it was released mud December last year.)
Definitely need to check out Gravity Circuit.
Not on this list but pretty much my GOTY: Cocoon. Highly recommended.
I’m also playing through Lies of P right now and it’s like a warm Bloodborne blanket.
I find it to be pretty overrated for a game that has a 17% finish rate on Steam and 7.5% on Xbox.
So happy to see and hear Josh!
Subtract Starfield and add Hogwort's Legacy. Then and only then would you have a great list.
Stray Gods definitely needs to be in a conversation for honorable mentions
Missing Lies of P and Hogwarts Legacy 🤔
Agreed about lies of p
Agree with both, HL should be in AC:M spot
I wonder why no Hogwarts
They mentioned yonks ago that they wouldn’t cover it out of respect to staff ideals in regards to the JKR controversy
Good on them
Staff first - longevity creates more and better content

"the city's gay and lesbian people"
I think the term you were looking for is respectful to their staff 😂❤️
@@vksgametime I would've put "integrity" first over hurt feelings. So are they just gonna shun any game that they don't agree with because it may hurt some feelings? Maybe they should seek another profession, if they don't have the constitution for it. WhatCulture seems to be fine with groomers seeing how they have multiple videos about the Flash movie. 🤷♂
2023 isn't over yet, Asgards Wrath 2 looks like it could be a system seller.
So no walking dead destinies?
Clear GOTY winner robbed 😂
