They have a strange design and they're not very comfortable. They are also (in some situations) not as good as standard rifles. However, the AUG has a very unique design when it comes to bullpups. It's sleek and sexy, and it fires a tasty (not literally) 5.56 x 45mm round, the same type of ammunition that the M16 family of rifles use. It's simply a very good firearm compared to other bullpups. Also it's in pretty much every FPS game so overtime it starts to grow on you. Edit: So what I mean by "can actually respect" I mean that it looks good and it shoots good.

A week ago I was playing take and hold and was using a sword, and swung my sword and destroyed my finger on my desk and had to go to the ER for stitches, 10/10 game and I’m happy my first trip was due to me play this game, keep up the amazing work

Could you add a button in the ammo spawn menu, that just takes you to the ammo type for the gun that's in your hand(or maybe last held). Going through page after page of tiny buttons in alphabetical order gets stale very quickly.

I also wish that was a thing. Maybe just like co-op wave shooter or whatever. That said I think there was something about that not happening because how the physics works, and trying to get the two computers to have the same things happen at the same time would cause the computers to explode.
sadly, the way this game is written means it'd require nearly a full rewrite to make it work with a multiplayer that most people might not even use (this is a gun sim, not a shooter, after all)
Not sure if you've considered doing this, but do you think you'll add a WWII trench type map and game mode to go along with some of the older weapons later on? Your doing great with the development, can't wait to see more!
Just tested the grabbing mechanism and I must say it's pretty nice as is already :). I love it and personally I didn't encounter any issues so far with the grab detection. However the grabbing itself is sometimes a little hard. Also I wouldn't let objects just fly past you while still aiming at them. What I think overall: - grab point detection seems pretty good - grab force + direction + slow down are pretty legit - grabbing the item is hard especially with smaller items like mags - trying to grab small items often results in trigerring the physics grab on another item in the same line of sight Suggestions: - maybe increase the radius of the grab collision sphere I suppose you have? - when an object is coming at you with physics grab disable that function temporarily so you can't accidentally pick something else during that time - don't let the object go past you unless you're no longer facing it (based on some predefined cone angle). Instead slow it down to a stop if necessary so it ends up falling right in front of you if you don't grab it. - to cancel the operation either wait it out, change line of sight (slightly move so the object is no longer in your grabbing view cone) or use the hand (stop pointing at it by moving the hand out of the way for a short time). This last possibility could also be used to re-orient the object and throw it away while in mid-air. Anyway thanks a lot again for this it's a great new addition once again :). I'm in no way trying to tell you what to do but I thought it could be interesting I shared my thoughts about it.

I'd love to see an update with more WW1 guns like the M1917 Enfield, Gewehr 98 (full length rifle), SMLE, MG-08, Lebel 1886 M93, Mannlicher M.95, Lewis Gun, etc.. I know you've got your hands full with other stuff, but I just thought I'd post some of my thoughts.
I don’t know if you’ve added it but could you do the FK BRNO PSD? It comes from Czechia, so it’s a very well crafted gun and it has a lot of power behind the unique 7.5 FK round.
Hey Anton! You should add ammo boxes! Since many times we ( me ) just spawn a lot of bullets in take and hold haveing a ammo box would make it easyer to hold lots of bullets for later usage and it will also make it easy er to tell bullet appart (since the ammo box writing is bigger) But! Its going to be worst then haveing a row of bullet since you have to open the box to pull the bullets out. Kinda like the match box Or maybe more like the ammo box in I Can GUN? I'm not sure how everyone sees haveing a bullet box but to me it seems a good idea. If it isn't let me know why!

Also glad to see you move that update time, I was beginning to wonder if the need to release every week was cutting into your ability to develop more intensive project stuffs. My headset is down right now, so I can’t play the update. Either way Anton you have just the most beautiful eyes, they are so vibrant even when you're tired, the neon blue of your eyes is so pure, it almost look artificial. Thats all I have to say, keep rockin’ the game dev lifestyle.
I saw the update log on steam and was very confused as to what the the "Dingowhomper" and "Packawhallop" were. I had to watch this just for clarification XD
I kinda wish there was hands in this. kinda just something to get me immersed cuz having the controller isent very appealing for me. I know there was sausage fingers but I mean just normal hands or gloved hands with like hotdog gloves or just skinned.
6:24 stats if the smg was in tf2: +30% faster firing speed +100% clip size +100% reserve ammo +10% more accurate -40% damage penalty -25% slower draw and holster penalty Each shot continuously fired will decrease the accuracy of the weapon.
This is looking like it would be cooler and cooler in online multiplayer. I think playing as Sniper would be so much cooler in this than the actual game. :(

Thanks for the good stuff once again :). I have a request however. I was wondering if you could possibly think about adding categories for ammo at some point in the future because the list is getting long. And since we now have gamemode-dedicated weapons and ammo it also makes more sense.
My personal prediction is to maybe have it detect your current weapon and let you select the current ammo type. (For example, if you have an AUG in hand then it lets you go to the page containing 5.56 ammo types). Or maybe even just a filter for weapon type like ammunition in Pistol>Automatic.
@@racer927 Yeah I was thinking something like that. Maybe filtering the list with only the ammo that fits your held gun would already be great. There is one thing that has not been discussed however. Currently most realistic guns have their own caliber. I don't recall some that can support multiple calibers (or forgot). But I would possibly see that being the case one day so you (Anton) don't need to design multiple times the same exact weapon when only the insides are supposed to be different. Might be a good idea to allow multiple calibers on some of them. In which case we would definitely benefit from ammo categories/filters.
Wouldn’t it be cool if there could be Workshop stuff Like, maps, guns etc. Where you import the gun model, set the grip, adjust damage, recoil, ammo and sound?
HLA grabbing is such a good fit for this game. Being a lazy person, this feature is great for me!

you've got the m1 garand can you add some other Canadian designed guns like the ross rifle
The Ross would be a great addition considering we don't have any other straight-pull bolt action rifles in the game.
Please add in "The Judge" pistol, it would be a really neat addition.

fun fact. the heavy's minigun fires 4 bullets per ammo count in TF2, so the minigun's actual capacity is 800 rounds

I do not mind a bi-weekly release schedule in the slightest Anton, anything to give you more time to push out builds.

My headset is down right now, so I can’t play the update. Either way Anton you have just the most beautiful eyes, they are so vibrant even when you're tired, the neon blue of your eyes is so pure, it almost look artificial. Thats all I have to say, keep rockin’ the game dev lifestyle.

I saw the update log on steam and was very confused as to what the the "Dingowhomper" and "Packawhallop" were. I had to watch this just for clarification XD
I kinda wish there was hands in this. kinda just something to get me immersed cuz having the controller isent very appealing for me. I know there was sausage fingers but I mean just normal hands or gloved hands with like hotdog gloves or just skinned.

+100% reserve ammo
+10% more accurate
-40% damage penalty
-25% slower draw and holster penalty
Each shot continuously fired will decrease the accuracy of the weapon.

Thanks for the good stuff once again :). I have a request however. I was wondering if you could possibly think about adding categories for ammo at some point in the future because the list is getting long. And since we now have gamemode-dedicated weapons and ammo it also makes more sense.
The ammo panel is going to get some love.
My personal prediction is to maybe have it detect your current weapon and let you select the current ammo type. (For example, if you have an AUG in hand then it lets you go to the page containing 5.56 ammo types). Or maybe even just a filter for weapon type like ammunition in Pistol>Automatic.

@@racer927 Yeah I was thinking something like that. Maybe filtering the list with only the ammo that fits your held gun would already be great.
There is one thing that has not been discussed however. Currently most realistic guns have their own caliber. I don't recall some that can support multiple calibers (or forgot). But I would possibly see that being the case one day so you (Anton) don't need to design multiple times the same exact weapon when only the insides are supposed to be different. Might be a good idea to allow multiple calibers on some of them. In which case we would definitely benefit from ammo categories/filters.
