I'm Mexican and turns out my ancestry not only goes back to Spain but it also goes back to the late Romans, early Hebrews, classic Greeks, Germanic Visigoths, Hun Conquerors and it's all intertwined with Aztec and Mayan, and I'm just a modern, average Mexican person.
The most interesting facts I felt were that they had big-scale wars (like Calakmul and Tikal Wars), built constructions, and made inscriptions letters etc. in medieval period of Old World. This was kinda excite me how they lived
I just want to add besides the beautiful pre aztec times and mayans maps, the colonization of the Americas was just so detailed and as someone who tried to map the pueblo revolt before and failed multiple times you did amazing!! It would be cool to see some of the Maroon countries and colonies established by freed and escaped Africans in Mexico, however there is not a lot of resources about that besides Yanga the most famous one.
I wonder how you go about researching regions in detail, even the most insignificant ones. I see the video-maps that I have made and the truth is that I am sorry that they are very simplified, I think I should put more effort into it, but I don't know how to research the maps x'D
Finding the roots, I had have searched for all copper cultures to small nations and then bigger centralized empires. And other videos from RUclips as well.
