I think that Mike's perception on himself affects the way he thinks WE as a collective view him (which is valid). He's iconic to us, regardless of his flaws. The greatest...without him having to give us anything at all other than what he's already accomplished. While brutally honest, there's a darkness to it that makes me sad. To be forgiven is to step back into the light... and I think that he thinks he's done sooooooo much wrong that he's too far gone; and I just don't believe that to be true. Mike is just “That Dude.” A guy’s guy, down to earth, funny as hell, spiritually deep, honest, direct, humble and accepts all his f-ups. I don’t idolize Mike, but I certainly respect and admire him very much.
I absolutely loved what Mike had to say about being the best that you could possibly be. It resonated with me because it’s where I’m currently at in my life and needed to hear in order to continue moving forward and accepting that I can’t take people with me. I’ve always had the mindset of if I’m moving up you’re going with me but I’m learning not everyone wants to move up and they’re comfortable where they’re at.

I think that Mike's perception on himself affects the way he thinks WE as a collective view him (which is valid). He's iconic to us, regardless of his flaws. The greatest...without him having to give us anything at all other than what he's already accomplished. While brutally honest, there's a darkness to it that makes me sad. Mike is just “That Dude.” A guy’s guy, down to earth, funny as hell, spiritually deep, honest, direct, humble and accepts all his f-ups. I don’t idolize Mike, but I certainly respect and admire him very much.
I absolutely loved what Mike had to say about being the best that you could possibly be. It resonated with me because it’s where I’m currently at in my life and needed to hear in order to continue moving forward and accepting that I can’t take people with me. I’ve always had the mindset of if I’m moving up you’re going with me but I’m learning not everyone wants to move up and they’re comfortable where they’re at.
