I agree. Seems like a lot of people that say bbw arent as good now and arent worth it, tend to be people that get free PR from homeworx and Kringle. Saying bbw isn't worth their price and dont throw is crazy to me considering both Kringle and homeworx are pricier. And tend to have way less throw . Especially with HW, almost every one ive tried i can't smell. And they are the priciest. Makes no sense. I havent had good luck running into them in the wild so i didn't get to try any new ones lately. Ive heard nothing but good things about the honeysuckle mimosa. My favorites were bridgerton study, blush amber peony, and the whole masculine line from gc i finally tried and they wowed me. No cologne notes, just smells like the actual earthy notes given. I just got whipped cream and cashmere from gc in the mail and my God. Just on scent quality alone im stunned by how perfect it smells. My whole gc order was amazing in fact. I had a bit of a hiccup with them last fall but im right back on track being steadily wowed by them.
It's always amazed me how much we hear people complain about Goose Creek, but their sales are second to none, and they're constantly adding new product, and throw is at the top or near the top for most seasons. Give me all of that and I'll put up with some soot!
I totally agree with u about HM! Their candles have been awful for me! I hadn't purchased anything this year from them n I broke down n ordered 2 of the Bing Cherry Cola candles n I lit 1 up yesterday as soon as I got them n it was totally scentless! I couldn't smell anything from the candle! I wasted my money for sure! I luv cherry scents, fruity scents n the scent wasn't that great either! It was very cola forward n not as much cherry! I rarely purchase from BBW anymore either! I may have purchased 5 or 6 candles so far from the whole year cause it's mostly just repackages n things we've already had, but there were a couple that were really good! Goose Creek absolutely is my favorite this year! Their packaging has been great n the scents have a great strength n throw! I've purchased more from GC than any others this year! As for Kringle, their candles are way too expensive n most of the ones I've purchased they have no throw either! I did like collecting the Reserve candles, not all of them, but paying that much for a candle n then I get it n I can't smell it at all, uh no, not anymore! It seems the only candles that throw are the 3 wicks from Kringle but that's not wat I shopped with them for! So for now I'm down to GC n BBW, barely, but as far as Kringle n HM, I'm think I'm done with them! I have plenty of the Reserves n I seriously doubt anything else will be groundbreaking so I'm good with that! Their 2 wicks do last along time, if u can smell them, but I like to burn different scents, not the same scent everyday for weeks, so that just doesn't work for me! I really appreciate ur honesty n I enjoy watching ur videos! It's hard to believe people that get most of their candles for free while trying to push others to purchase with a code! It just doesn't feel authentic to me! I'd much rather watch people like u, so thank u for that! 🙂
Everything you said is 100 percent spot-on! It's Goose Creek and BBW at the top of my list when new candles are put out each season. And those are the two companies I'll be focusing on when we start seeing fall releases come out.
It's always felt like there was a correlation between the hate for the bigger companies and the love for the ones that send pr. There's something about it but that's how some channels come off.
I can speak for the HomeWorx situation as someone who once received PR and left on my own terms, so I'll say this... The system they have now is nothing at all like what we started out with. It's absolutely set up to reward you based on how often your affiliate code gets used, that much is not debatable. In the beginning it was basically we'll send you free candles and you give your thoughts. You were never sent more or less depending on the opinions you gave. But NOW, it's a whole different ballgame. Harry has zero involvement in who gets what, and they want folks who are going to push sales. After speaking with a couple of people who are extremely connected to the inner-workings of all this, these are not my opinions on anything, these are indeed facts. Something about it just feels slimy nowadays.
Great Spring/Summer picks! I love a lot of the florals you mentioned from GC (Drenched Daffodils, Pink Peonies, Southern Gardens, Butterfly Garden and Pure Red Rose). In my opinion, GC did an amazing job with their Spring/Summer collection this year. I shop them more than any of the other companies including BBW 😂.
My top picks for spring are BBW Humingbird Teacake and Kringle Easter Brunch. I would repurchase both next year. I just got BBW Lemon Poundcake but haven’t burned it yet so was happy to see it as one of your favorites. I also have yet to burn Kringle Blueberry - thanks for the heads up on the wicks.
I ended up having to crock my Hummingbird Teacake, but probably would have included it otherwise. I will definitely get Easter Brunch next year if the stars😅 align
Thanks Kevin. The plum one sounds good. With bbw I’ve really liked Diamond of the season, wild rose & suede and bridgerton study. I got a pocketbac of that one for my granddaughter and loved it so kept it and using as a perfume. I just ordered Palo santo & vanilla , surfs up, and sea salt and sails to try. We’ll see😂i liked Danbury sb in wallflower better than candle. Hummingbird tea cake was a good one. Hear is like spiced crumb cake🤷♀ive been dragging out my scentsy club likes to see if still like. Did some teddy bees hauls too. She’s got some good ones. Sorry so long 🤪
@@Inenell thanks! I hadn’t gotten an email yet. Wow, a lot of choices. I wanna try London fog cuz Elizabethscenesandscents and Robyn H from Canada love it. Any suggestions? If not too many lol
I'm gonna go with mostly fall stuff, because I'm pretty new to Tiffany's wax and probably should make it easy on myself lol. Creep Show, It's Fall Ya'll, Khaleesi, Rainy Day, One Oak, The Dragon and The Wolf
I was so looking forward to this video. Goose Creek was also my favorite brand this year so far I'm really excited about what they end up doing for fall
Your description of Coral Poppy sounds fantastic! How odd though that that's the name they chose! 🤔My favorite was probably the Goose Creek Lemon Butter Cake. 🤷🏼♀ For some reason, I didn't have the issue that you had with yours. It was good all the way through. Go figure! 🤓
Totally agree about bath and body works. They've always kinda just been who they are, not fabulous and not real overpriced (sale prices). Just always the same 🤷
Exactly! Take that kind of comment with a huge grain of salt. I dont think too many people are willing to die on that hill lol. They're routinely my strongest candles from season to season.
@@Inenell Sounds good! I couldn't quite choose which one to try and would grab something else that looked good instead but still curious. Also we do know the Yankee fall 2024 new candles...Woodland Weekend memories, Parisian Holiday Brunch, Pumpkin Cinnamon Swirl, and Afternoon Scrapbooking.
I couldn't agree more with the average score you gave HW. I know it's more than not to have a low throw or poor performance and yet i still buy because of the fragrance itself hoping for more😅😅
I agree with your best of list and your thoughts. I have been loving BBW Hummingbird Teacake, Main Street Bakery, and a few of the Brighton candles. I find that the creators that say the worse things about BBW candles , are ambassadors for Kringle and/or Homeworx. I think perhaps it has more to do with brand bias/objectivity than anything else. 🤷🏻♀️
I agree. The funny thing is people will say bbw candles are disappointing, don't throw and are over priced but yet they buy homeworx!(Or technically are given them for free)Them shits are expensive and usually have no throw whatsoever. Kringle I'm not terribly versed on. I know their sale prices are still too pricey imo and the only candles that have had good throw for me are the 3 wicks. GC and bbw have good prices and I tend to always get good throw from them.
Absolutely! BBW is the company a lot of them harp on to steer unknowing buyers towards the other brands. It makes sense I guess... cant use their affiliate codes if they spend all their money with BBW!
List starts at 3:45

Hello Kevin. Good list.😊 My Spring favorite this year is B&BW Citrus Grove. The orange juice & tree/grove scent is interesting to my nose. 🍊🍃
Sounds very similar to Kringle's Sicilian Orange, which I actually just finished up!
@@Inenell Similar-no herbal note in Citrus Grove.

GC definitely has their faults, just like all the companies do. But they throw so consistently well, I'm perfectly fine with overlooking the bad.

I was tempted to buy LBC again because I heard so many people had success with it. I’ll give it a try again next year if it comes back 😇

3- Backyard Honeysuckle
4-Wisteria Gardens
5-MainStreet bakery
6-Danbury Shortbread

Great list Kevin!! Now would you do your least favorites?
Well thank you! I'll see if I can round up a few that would fit in that category

You tried the GC Sea Grass did you also try the Cypress and Sea Moss one?? :)
I never tried it, but did have my eye on it. I think I'll place one last spring order with them and throw it in this time.

You mentioned in a previous video you like to use the smaller channels that have affiliate codes so who do you recommend?
Connor loves candles? I think that might be his name. I'm not sure if he's on youtube, but you can find him on Instagram if you're on that platform.
Whaha??? I dont see Almond Croissant!! Did you not like it or not try it?
I never did get my hands on it, and my stores seem to be completely out of stock every time I show up
