This kind of video is just as important as the favorites video. Everyone is doing their favorites but this is the first one of these I've seen put out so thank you for your service!
Something went awry with Homeworx Blueberry Cheesecake because I’ve had it in the past & I ordered it from the website back in March and it IS NOT the same scent I had before. I honestly think they didn’t pour the right “blend” because it smelled kind of like their Triple Berry Pie. I told people about it in a video & some of my subscribers agreed with me. It’s annoying when candles don’t perform well, but also beneficial to pass that info on. 👍🏻
I think it's incredibly helpful to see this kind of videos! Most people think of it as being negative, but to me, it's constructive criticism! That's why I try to leave comments about candles to help other people so they don't waste their money like I did or at least they have a better understanding of the risk of purchasing a certain candle! This candle burning is an expensive hobby n if I know I helped someone from wasting their money that makes me feel better! I think more people should do these kinds of videos! That is totally true about HMX, their older candles are way better than wat their putting out now n I don't understand why! N yes, there's gonna be good n bad experiences with candles but it just makes me feel better to tell the truth n to hopefully help others! That's just the way I feel about it! For example, I seen another video about the Lemon Poppy candle n that person said it was amazing n now after seeing ur video, hopefully people will at least know that there's a chance that that certain candle may not work out for them n there's absolutely nothing wrong with that, imo! Great video n I enjoyed watching! 🙂
Ahhh the disappointment with LPM from what it once was to what it is now, is basically HomeWorx in a nutshell nowadays. Notice their numerous cost-cutting measures over the years and now the affiliate codes have been swapped with any real quality sales. If we can see BBW and GC come down to $10-12 during their sale events, there's absolutely no reason HW cant throw a BOGO sale every once in awhile.
I loved hearing which candles you liked the least! Hope to see ,this video again for the Fall scents. Fingers crossed there aren't a lot of misses to choose from or narrow down!
Palo Santo Pumpkin got me, too. Significantly reduced buying multiples after that. I did get a duo of coconut margarita this summer from Homeworx, since I'm extra obsessed with coconut this summer. First couple of burns--pretty light on strength and throw. Not sure if the duo is a total regret yet.
The puny wicks that break from Kringle's 3 wick candles have been very frustrating for me. They have been going in the candle crock. I have given up on Homeworx since the pandemic. I just can't justify Harry's candles anymore, he's too stingy with the fragrance oils!
The decrease in oils for HomeWorx over the past 3-4 years is probably the single greatest negative thing to happen since I’ve been burning candles. Combine that with how challenging the wicks can be and this company’s fall from grace has been truly remarkable
@@Inenell He just killed off Scentworx which were better than his 4 wicks and made in the USA. Not anymore as they are now made in the Dominican Republic low quality stuff. Joins Big Lots candles/melts and and other cheap stuff made in the DR.
Have you been tempted by higher end candles? I love Cire Trudon and I just bought a Creed Aventus candle which smells amazing. Hopefully tornadoes stay away from you!
I've actually burned several before from MFK, Diptyque, and various niche houses, but just kept them off my channel because the prices are probably enough to make most people uninterested lol
@@Inenell good point the prices are awful compared to BBW, Goosecreek etc. It would be fun to see some from time to time. There has to be an audience out there lol. I prefer burning my higher end candles but I also have never shown them due to the price haha
I actually purchased Sicilian Lemon from Yankee this year & it’s super strong. Last Christmas I really enjoyed the Santa’s Cookie scent. These were in the 2 wick tumblers. I find a good one time to time. I enjoys that goosecreek lemon cake candle but it smelled like fruity pebbles to me.
I have a Scentsy consultant in the same house. I appreciate Scentsy so much. They have some really great wax bars . And their cleaning products are amazing ..!! The air purifier is wonderful. I cant say enough gd things about them. I have gotten so many bad candles this year and most of mine were from kringle and goose creek. Yankee definitely was a hit or miss. But at least they let you take them back. So this video ty ty ty!!!!!!!
Thank you! It's so amazing and frustrating to see a candle like Coral Poppy throw as well as it did, and then to have a candle like Lemon Poppy Muffin give a complete no-show. The inconsistencies are astounding!
I don't have any worst candles this Spring, as I haven't purchased any except Yankee Candle Cotton Candy which I love. Bought 4 and going to stock up on more. I like the YC original 1 wicks because I have a lot of IllumiLids and also they can be burning for a long period of time. They last too.
There’s nothing quite like a disappointing candle lol. I, like you, have completely changed my buying habits. For instance, I only buy maybe 3 candles max per season and I use all those within the season.., No backups any longer. If ever you get the chance can I recommend Antique Candle Co Blueberry Crumble and Autumn Woods (especially if you like Autumn from bbw) and you only need the 8oz. They are a small, company that gained popularity through word of mouth. Those 2 I would recommend if ever you are looking to explore companies other than the mass appeal ones on the market.
Honestly, it was average at best, but that weak throw and miss on the cream cheese has to also be taken into account. Would have loved to be able to had this one come out several years ago as an OG 3-wick to see what my opinion would be

You’re very welcome! Always count on me for keeping it a hundy
I appreciate hearing about your worst candles as much as I appreciate hearing about your favorites! Thanks for sharing. Stay safe.
Always appreciate your support!

Speaking of their Blueberry Cheesecake, I wouldnt mind at all seeing them bring out a fall blueberry at some point.

I’ll probably take the more is less route with fall candles this year just in case 😉
Palo Santo Pumpkin was awful!! Thank you for bringing that up again 😂😭
Always here to help! 😜
Great video! I appreciate you sharing your experiences. The worse candles are just as important as the best candles. 💜
Thank you! Hopefully have a lot less of them to talk about for fall lol!

Never again after PSP lol! Unless I smell them beforehand!
When is the last time someone on youtube let us know which candles were the worst? Tyvm for sharing!
It’s a rarity for sure 👍

Their Key Lime Cake Pop was also reminiscent of fruity pebbles

I think we’re officially down to zero YC stores here in Oklahoma 😳🤯
I thought your critique was fair. It’s really helpful to have this when you have to blind-buy.

I still have a few 1-wicks from Yankee and they do remind me of a time where YC was putting out some amazing fragrances

Currently perusing the website to see what they have. Thank you for the heads-up ❤
@@Inenell no prob. The packaging they ship in feels more like a perfume house. I think they launch fall in June
Now you’re talking my language 😂🍁
