    Hi Jerry!
    We're sincerely sorry for the issues you've experienced with our prototype product. It's a relief to hear that you and your team remain unharmed, and we greatly value the feedback you've provided. Rest assured, we're diligently addressing these concerns to ensure our printers are both excellent in quality and safe for use.
    To reassure our valued Kickstarter backers, who are our earliest and most important supporters, we are committed to ensuring the highest quality in our products. If any quality issues arise with our printer, we sincerely promise to provide a full refund or a replacement within 60 days from the delivery date (calculated from the receipt date), completely at our cost. Your trust and satisfaction are our top priorities.
    Here's what we're doing to enhance our printer:
    1) Power Switch Upgrade: We take full responsibility for the malfunction of the power switch, which was a result of inadequate power support for the required load. This led to overheating and an automatic shutdown, causing the metal casing to show signs of damage (like the "explosion" you mentioned). This is a common safety feature in many electrical devices, designed to cut off power when overloaded to prevent further problems. We've addressed this by replacing the original plastic switch with a more robust, high-capacity metal switch.
    2) Improved Temperature Control: We're modifying the temperature control on the front touch panel for easier access and operation.
    3) Resin Bottle Design: The resin bottle isn't completely sealed because it needs air to work right. Understanding concerns about spillage, we've developed a secure holder for the resin bottle, ensuring it stays safely in place during operation.
    4) Integrated Washing Station: Currently, our printer offers dual functionality with both printing and post-curing capabilities. Looking ahead, we plan to integrate this washing station feature directly into our printer, enhancing its overall functionality and user convenience. Additionally, we've provided a washing station as an optional add-on on Kickstarter.
    5) Timed Curing: We're currently testing a timed curing feature and anticipate its introduction shortly.
    6)Enhanced Touch Screen: We are optimizing it to improve sensitivity.
    7) WiFi Connectivity Improvement: Regarding the WiFi file transfer issues, several factors could be responsible, such as unreliable router connections, slow internet speeds, network dropouts, or incomplete transfers from slicing software. To address this, we are developing a solution that bypasses these router-related problems. Our team is testing a new device that allows for direct file transfers from your computer to the printer, removing the need for a router and ensuring a more stable and reliable connection without the worry of network interruptions.
    We really hope this shows you how serious we are about making a great printer. We appreciate your support and patience as we work on these improvements. Thanks for helping us get better!
    Best,
    UltraPrint Team

      @@ThePrintHouseaccording to a communication with HoneyBadger, they had to stop the publication due to the contract with the maker. Shaddy as hell. That said, they might have taken the feedback in to improve on the printer before end of kickstarter period and not lose all backers. let me know what you think

      Ultraprint did not want me to publish my review. I denied their request 3 or 4 separate times. It is quite bothersome when channels do not publish content for one reason or another, especially when it hides stuff the general public need to see. I understand this is a prototype machine, but it is what I have and I need to make my video based on the hardware and firmware I have. I believe Ultraprint is shipping me a new machine at the end of the year and I believe I will have a much more positive video to share.

    It's beyond me why these companies - with a clean sheet of paper design for a new release - make inferior or compromised design choices such as chamber heating rather than vat heating. Are they sitting around in their design meetings saying "Here are the different options for implementing such and such feature...let's not choose the best one".

    • @ThePrintHouse
      @ThePrintHouse  6 месяцев назад

      You would think, especially with a competitive market, they would not cut corners.

      @ntHouse Right?...as if the world needs another me-too 3D printer. Either you are moving the game on now, or you are just compromising the signal to noise ratio and wasting everyone's time including your own. It's pretty simple really: survey the market, understand who is making the best product, and either make it better for the same price or make it cheaper for the same performance. If you cannot do either of those two things, then don't bother.

      @@ThePrintHouse well, at least I subscribed, in terms of that Kickstarter crap, I have concerns about the safety.
      As far as I can see, there are two probably 100W PTC heaters controlled by one W3230, which is only rated for 10A

      @@ThePrintHouse Assuming the heated vents remain in their current position for production, isn't there enough gap to 3d print a redirectional exhaust cover? Hopefully the VAT is also heated. Can you confirm with Ultraprint? and for the bottle out back, its really not a big issue. In many ways we can secure this bottle. Its a minor issue.

    • @ThePrintHouse
      @ThePrintHouse  9 месяцев назад

      @@tonypetroski216 that's actually a pretty great idea, but you would need to dissipate the airflow heavily otherwise you would end up with the issue just at a lower part of the printer... Which would be even worse. As it is now, it likely won't affect anyway unless you regularly make max build plate prints.
      As for the bottle, I actually disagree. This is my 3rd or 4th experience with resin pumping systems and i think it'll be more difficult than you think to properly secure the bottle such that when the printer moves the bottle moved in unison with it. Is it possible? Well obviously it's possible, but I again I think it'll be harder than you think and the solution definitely won't be clean. This is a serious oversight by the ultraprint team. They need to make air purging resin lid similar to apex maker. That's the only real solution in my opinion

    If your curing your models inside this printer, wouldn't that delay the time you start your next print? Seems inefficient to me.

    As someone commented on your rant about the "explosion", its not a very genuine claim for a switch dying.

    • @ThePrintHouse
      @ThePrintHouse  9 месяцев назад

      I never made a rant. I wanted to be very transparent about my issues because this printer comes from an unknown brand and this is the biggest issue I have ever had with a 3D printer. I would say 95% of the 3d printing community would not be able to fix this issue themselves, so I personally feel this is a very genuine issue. If you disagree then I totally respect your opinion.

  • @anlumo1

    So, you have a laundry list of major issues with the device, but still talk positively about it? I'm sorry, but this feels like someone who wants to have the cake and it it too by getting paid for the ad while having a bad conscience about the product. Don't just assume that they're going to fix everything in firmware, especially with Kickstarters.

    • @ThePrintHouse
      @ThePrintHouse  9 месяцев назад

      The world isn't black or white. There can be some gray in there too, so yeah, I can have my cake and eat it too. As mentioned, this is not the product for someone wanting a perfectly refined user experience. If someone wants all the features but doesn't want to pay a premium price and doesn't mind features that are half baked, this is the printer to get.

    "literally exploded?" Explode intransitive verb, 1. To release mechanical, chemical, or nuclear energy by the sudden production of gases in a confined space. 2. To burst violently as a result of internal pressure. 3. To shatter with a loud noise.

    • @ThePrintHouse
      @ThePrintHouse  9 месяцев назад +3

      It did 1 & 3 and if you want to get technical I could argue it did 2 as well. I'm not sure I understand what you're trying to accomplish here. As a public voice my primary goal is to share my experience, and regardless of my word choice this is absolutely something that certain people would consider a deal breaker. I understand your concern with my verbiage, but the entire story was told, so one can disagree with my choice of words yet still get value from this video.
