I think another reason why this is so great is because it’s really common for mothers to put others before themselves and looking cute can come second to making sure everyone else is doing well. This trend is a reminder that most moms are complete baddies when they have a moment to glow. 🖤
I worked in an Assisted Living Facility (mostly people over 80 ) A new resident moved in and was soooo scared. I asked her why is she so scared? "Because, everyone looks the same," she said. I took off my long ,red, scarf and wrapped it around her neck, telling her NOW she looks different. Agnes wore that scarf EVERY single day until she died. Her children even buried her with it on. MY POINT IS DO AS "YOU" WISH!

I wish my mother was alive so I could do this with her (2023 she would have been 105). I have no children, but the message here for me is to play with younger versions of myself! Love it
The part I like about these videos was the love between mothers and daughters.
My mom turned 80 on 5 th of January, had hard time because of it, so I bought her a black jeans skirt and a few blouses in rose & pink.She loved it so much that I had to order light and dark blue skirt too. On this weekend she wore the light blue skirt and pink blouse and loved it. Her attitude changed and now she wants more!!! My next task is to find her a jeans jacket and a beige blouse with light blue mille fiori to complement her beautiful blue eyes. 🥰🤩
What’s really cute, and a full circle moment, is that once upon a time, these mothers used to dress their daughters in the prettiest dresses that they would’ve loved to have had at that age. Now, these daughters are dressing their mothers in what they might’ve not gotten to wear (due to putting their child first, neglecting themselves, perhaps lower self esteem after just having a a baby) and I love that the internet is doing good. These moms look fantastic!!! 💕

i am obsessed with this trend!! i saw one recently with a girl dressing up her grandma and it was awesome. i have been sharing clothes with my mom since i was in high school and we haven't stopped yet.

I am 67 and my daughter has been helping me with my wardrobe. She bought me a color consult, which helps so much. In the process of selecting new things that are in my color palette, more form fitting too.

You should ask your sons, too. My son has definite opinions about how I can up my game. Some of them are not going to happen, though, like platinum blonde, nope.

After Junior High, I started dressing in what I liked. I follow fashion and know it repeats itself. My daughter has said I definitely don’t dress my age especially in skinny jeans, black suede over the knee boots and my black leather jacket! 😂

Lots of fun! I think there is far less pressure these days for women of a 'certain age' to dress in a very mature (frumpy maybe) way. When I was a kid there's no way you'd see a grandmother in a mini skirt. These days ... if you've got the legs and knees, flaunt it! I love it. Bring it on!

My mother and I shared clothes and shoes. Well not pants because she was 6ft tall and I am not that blessed at 5ft 8in. This trend is great!! I would let my daughter dress me up. I would let my son dress me lol.

My daughter wanted to do that trend on me, around Christmas last year 2022. Yet I thought I don’t think so lol, I actually dress nice compared to other moms my age. She steps into my closet & can’t belive how much cloths & shoes I have. I feel like maybe she just wanted to play dress up with me. When I actually do not think I need the make over lol 😆…. I took a fashion opportunities course in high school. Almost went to art institute in Chicago lol for fashion design. I know some stuff about fashion. Lol im as well a born fashionista lol 😂 I can not get more insulted as her trying to give me a make over…. Lol 😆 I don’t need one, I got this lol 😆….. yet my daughter is more of a chic emo style girl lol 😆 idk if I can do that look. It is not like me lol 😆
