@@drollerartifactatlife972 6 foot from the water, up the on land. Look it up. They started out on public land. So they were in the right. HOA can't own water. HOA can't own the road. Fish and wildlife SHOULD have been called. The kids have rights, same as the bossy people "think" they do. The laws state that any waterways accessible from public, has a 6 foot access all the way around said waterway. Something as small as a creek has the same 6 ft around. Please feel free to go look it up for yourself. HOA's make people who "Own" land think they have total rights, because of their rules. That just isn't true. Like I said, feel free to use that trusty function called Google.

You could call the cops on him for harassment and trespass because from the the video he didn’t get permission to be on that private property and you weren’t doing anything wrong because you asked permission to be there and he kept trying to kick you out for no reason

I wouldn’t take this advice if you call the cops you will get the ticket I would bet the pond you are fishing on is a private pond that only the community people have access to. Most states require a home owner to be with you or for you to have a written letter from a home owner giving you permission. Also most communities like this probably have a some sort of visitor pass that the home owner would request.
Next time call your local game warden its a crime to harass a fisherman while fishing in all 50 states

That would apply to navigable waters only, not every body of water. There are plenty of lakes all surrounded by only private property and are not public accessible.

I'm an old man (to you) and I wouldn't have a problem with it if it were my land. All us old people see on the news is about bad things happening and they find it hard to believe that wholesome young people are out there that just want to fish. He probably thinks you are casing the place.

Get on a boat and just fish freely . Right in the same spot but in the water and tell him he doesnt own the lake :)
But they do own the lake. Public accessible water only applies to navigable waters.
It would be so horrible if a few beavers showed up near the wire they put up on that creek. But I would be scared for the beavers with their attitude. If you have all that land with creeks and lakes away from people’s houses, you should check and see what’s going on. If you find nice polite people doing no harm, let them fish. These guys even give the fish back. I live in tidal area and there are people often fishing for their family’s dinner. Some do this because without the seafood there would be little dinner. Why would you chase them off even if you had law on your side.

You would probably have less trouble if you assured the Karens that you aren’t revealing the locations so there won’t be a flood of fisherman in your wake, harassing residents for permission everyday.
The old guys are just afraid of their private little oasis becoming a landmark in the local fishing community. In their mind, they’re opening Pandora’s Box by letting you fish there on camera and soon they’ll start seeing dude-bros fishing there everyday. Just tell them it’s just gonna be you and a friend or two, that’s it. They’ll probably chill out.

Right? Most HOA's absolutely have a rule that the home owner has to be with you. It literally prevents people from giving an open door to all their friends and family to come and fish anytime they want. Maybe when these kids get older, they will eventually learn what it means to pay property taxes and how expensive it is to finance their own fishing ponds and then realize they would not want 1,000's of people coming around either.
