The fact that DMS kinda looks and sounds like idubbbz made the hifi cop video a lot funnier than it already is
If the Modhouse planars still retain that beautiful design at sale and end up around $2000, they get a more efficient driver version (a driver upgrade option would be nice too) and they sound as good or better than others at that price-point, I'm already sold. Gotta be the prettiest headphone I've ever seen and that headband looks extremely well built. I just hope the open back wood cup isn't prone to cracking. Can't wait for reviews.

I heard Ryan's Modhouse prototype back in January at a meet in the Boston area. Ryan is a great guy btw! I really enjoyed getting to spend some time with headphone on my own gear. It was one of the most comfortable headphones I have tried on (not lightest but they fit just right). The sound signature was right up my alley and I am really looking forward to this coming to market.

The coverage of this has been so overwhelmingly positive. Was feeling down that there's never anything close to me and then google to discover that there'll be one in Dallas! Bought tickets immediately. Curious if any of y'all will be attending in Dallas in November?

GoldenSound is one of the most knowledgeable people I’ve ever spoken to about amps and dacs. He’s so good at giving you all the information in a digestible way that doesn’t require you to be an engineer to understand it.
The excitement and positivity is palpable. I really need to see if I can make it to a CanJam soon. In the DC area, so might try Capitol Audiofest this year.

Super excited for the modhouse headphones. I have the T60 Argon, and with the xenon pads it's genuinely the best headphones I ever heard (granted it is not much, but still).
Any chance of making one than can be ran with an amp that outputs around 9 vrms?@@ryandietz7878
Great to see the homegrown brand, Ucotech is getting attention. RE-2 is indeed good, predecessor RE-1 and RE-1's brother RE-1 Pro is also pretty good as well.

Poor Sam... my wiife does that shaking of the foot and I swear I can now sense it even when I am not in the same room.. sometimes it feels like an earthquake when we are sitting next to each other but I have no visual contact... and when there is visual contact, it's like a foot is playing the air guitar strumming at the speed of light... poor Sam

@@enjoshi-godrez8775 Why do you say that? From 5:30 onwards peaks after 6:30 DMS shakes his foot so much that I had to put my hand to conceal that shaking to be able to watch the video. I admire Resolve for not being bothered by all that shaking,,, and his audio knowledge, of course
@@jackjack3874actually I do same with my leg that touches the floor at times. I is supposedly hereditary. No, I didnt see him do the foot shake, thats completely new to me.

Did you guys see the HEAVYS headphone people there? I keep seeing comments that people have seen them at these CanJams and did a demo, but no evidence of that anywhere. It's an interesting idea, but a little too interesting for me to jump in blindly on, even with Axel Grell heading up development.
Other than Axel (who was there), I didn't hear about any of the other HEAVYS guys being there.

Can I ask y’all a question? I was nervous to go up to any of the RUclipsrs because I didn’t want to bother you guys. Do you genuinely not mind? Because I’d love to shake your hand and take a pic. I’m genuinely curious. Also, I was wondering what all that clapping was about - I was able the noble table hearing all the cheers, pretty damn cool it was for giveaways. Loved the show, definitely coming back next year 👍

The issue with these shows is not the headphones; it's the stuff running them. You need to use/own a lot of equipment to know how the sound is being coloured.
It's a shame there are not one or two sets that can drive anything, and they all have to use them so you can actually hear the difference and know the difference and why. I know this is impossible due to how headphones work well with setups and all that, but it's just a bit BS knowing that you might listen to the headphones, buy them and then once you try them at home, they sound nothing like how you remember due to your system being different.
It's the same with a lot of tech, but I still find it to be too much of a hype/selling pitch rather than a place where you can get a sense of how they sound vs how they will sound with most people's systems back home.....unless you own a lot of high-end stuff.

CanJamNYC 2023 was the worst CanJam I've been to. It was a really challenge to find anything affordable. It felt like 90% of everything was north of $3000. I get that things are getting more expensive but every previous year there were loads of affordable items.
Affordable items are boring. Most can be bought off amazon with free returns. These items are hard to find, and demoing them anywhere else is very difficult for a lot of people. Expensive items are simply more exiting, and entertainment should come before anything at a social gathering. If you came to it for demos of stuff you'll buy only, then its a poor waste of your time. The goal was to entertain, 99% of attendees dont buy products at canjams.
