I made some changes to the oculus debug, disabling ASW and reducing the fov and it improved.

After watching your vid I think I finally understood why my game was super laggy and super pixelated. I would also have delayed movements through the headset and inconsistent fps. I know it’s not a cable issue. I think it’s to do with the bitrate and resolution. Since I have a very similar setup to you (RTX 3060, Ryzen 7 5700, and 32 gb ram), I was confused why it was running so poorly. But thx I will have to try and set my bitrate and resolution settings a bit different through oculus.

Anyone else have a laggy/choppy steering animation in vr? It doesn’t actually affect steering but the wheel and hands are low fps

@@Kapo_Racing Yeah, just the steering. didn't have it on f1 23, but when I installed f1 24 I ended up having it on both games.
That's weird. Maybe uninstall both games and delete F1 folders on my documents can help
@@Kapo_RacingI messed around with settings since and it’s the ASW, when it’s disabled my wheel animation is really low fps. having it enabled is awful so I’ll just have to live with it until EA make a game that works lol.

Precentege wise it may be the same but it's definitely smoother than the last year
I have the same problem that i had in f1 23, when the 3d screen changes to 2d, it just crashes. I hace 32gb ram, i5 and 3060 so i dont think its my pc... any solution?
Hello, I had the same issue with one computer and tried pretty much everything it didn't change. When I upgrade my PC for a more recent one, it stopped, however if I push too much the resolution in the quest it could crash randomly. I think unfortunatly the game isn't developed for VR, it's just a feature they had too say " yes you can run it in VR" but on F1 23 they made no improvement on it over the year.
What is your power supply? I had the same issue with the another game and I found it was the power supply
I have the same exact issue since F1 2022, and yet to find a solution in 2024. Only game that crashes like that. Elite Dangerous does the same switch from 3d to 2d and back to 3d with no issues, but F1, can't do

That's odd. Is it stuttering in the same session or different sessions/tracks?
I have extreme edge flickering and therefore find the game unplayable. I've already written to EA Support, and they've already passed this on to the developers. Furthermore, I should be patient for now. I think that's just a bit of a shame for such a new game. This looks worse than 2023. My setup is a Valve Index and an RTX3080 with an i7 12700k. Do you have a solution for edge flickering?
What exactly do you mean with edge flickering? Is it like game lagging when you look left and right?

@@Kapo_Racing Yes, it's smoother on track, but not as good as F1 2023. Unfortunately, it's not playable for me.
@Eddie4774 @Eddie4774 that is weird. It runs smoother than the last year for me. You can try to change dynamic resolution profile to aggressive and scale to 50. I'm sure that will help
It's a shame EA didn't give due treatment to the VR mode...it would have been better not to have it. It would be great to play F124 in the same way I play AMS2 or even Iracing... a real shame...
Yeah unfortunately it's not the best vr experience for sure. But I enjoy it even with a more blurry image compared to ams2. Its great to be in a F1 car anyway:)
Even with these settings the game is just so bad, laggy, pixelated. It's a joke, don't buy this for VR

There must be something wrong mate. My game is very smooth and it's not that blurry. Ofc it's not sharp as iRacing or ac but it's playable. Can you tell me your cpu and gpu?

Yeah I understand you. I wish there's a way to improve image quality further but it is what it is. Still I enjoy driving in F1
