Could I say how refreshingly polite and courteous you are, some auditors can be unnecessarily difficult or obnoxious and it’s nice to see. Also Swindon Gablecross would be a good station to visit in Wiltshire, big nick that
Good and very entertaining- only 7% of recorded crime is solved. Police tend to concentrate on protecting big businesses, the rich and enforcing the government agenda. For the general public we get a second tier service. I’m thinking we don’t need a police force. Most people never break any laws
Somewhat interestingly my experience is to the contrary, whenever I’ve contacted the police from an individual perspective I’ve received a fairly good service (not everything I reported was solve for instance someone smashed my car window but there was no CCTV or witnesses so wasn’t expecting it) but I found when reporting on behalf of a large retailer getting response was far more difficult and would tend to be a report into crime ref number exercise
My other half comes from Salisbury and I lived there for four years , I remember the old police station when the pub over the road used to be called THE HOGS HEAD ! some one had a sense of humour ,( plus there's some really good fishing all around Salisbury, with some good river carp and good chub ,just thought I would say !)
When you have the money mate get yourself a gimbal a highly recommended one is the Hohem Isteady X I used one for a while very good for around 70 Cracking audit bud as always
Speaking clear, staying calm and polite is always the best way to conduct an audit. Shouting, swearing and screaming is not the correct way to behave and I am glad that is not your style. Once again, 10 out of 10.
Very smart place and grounds. Pleasant folk on reception. It was almost as if your camera was invisible🤣. Also, its nice to see that not all audits are bad.
Weren't they just! Refreshingly open and had no issues with the camera, no interest in ID and happy to identify. That's the beauty of filming, one simply memorialises interactions, and on this occasion it was cordial, open and without a hint of us/them or aggression. Progess of a kind!
You should do bath next ,they have the same police/council set up as Salisbury (city's with make shift police stations , I don't know what the worid is coming to , and like Salisbury, Bath has lots of big river carp ,just thought I would say !)
thank you Tom - definitely the approach I take. The aim is to demonstrate that the citizenry can read, research and conduct themselves in a manner that is gold standard! I try. My fellow auditors all have their own style, and I follow them all, but my approach is designed to challenge the slur that we are all chavs with cameras. Reportage is important and it is our right to hold authourity to account.
@@Ploddingalong67 I don't wish to say anything about auditors in the UK but your style of peaceful non abrasive auditing is what I look for in a good audit. Assertive, based on fact not emotion is the only way to hold the tyranny in check. Thank you
As a viewer who is local to Salisbury, i am happy to say that the two officers you got to chat with are a very accurate examples of the local officers. Not all that much goes on in Salisbury but whenever you see them publicly, they have always been by the book and have always appeared to have the public's best interests in mind, not causing any harm while doing so. Great Audit by the way, subscribed!
Your interactions and your calm demeanor are fan- bloody- tastic. Keep your head and keep it up. I think auditors are holding a light up to a corrupt system and bad plod worldwide.
Not the most exciting audit, but quite informative. It'll be interesting to see if you're regularly treated more courteously than some of the other auditors.
