Yo Peter, I’m really happy for you, this lens looks great and I'm gonna let you finish, but @epiclightmedia has the best lights of all time. I'm here for DEM LIGHTS! 🙌
I use the Nifty 50 straight on shots in my videos. After Canon came out with their Webcam app, I bought a 22mm f2.8 so I can use a Canon at my desk. Now, I also use it on a second camera when shooting on set. It's amazing what these 2 lenses have done to my quality!
Peter. I must say. I've had this video playing in the background. You are telling me something important. But @epiclightmedia has my attention more right now.
This reminds me of that one time I took a portrait of a friend with a 35mm lens. They say that with the crop factor on a APSC sensor it's equivalent to a 52mm lens which is pretty close to 50mm. But then I found out I was misinformed. The "equivalence" is really just the angle of view rather than a depth of field. However, I find that since the depth of field is not changed, the 35mm lens in combination with the APSC sensor created a very unique photo with a very unique combination of a 35mm depth of field but with a 50mm equivalent angle of view. Not to mention the bokéballs will be smaller than expected because of the depth of field. All things considered, I think that this 50mm lens, being an APSC equivalent to 75mm, would make a superb portrait lens with a great amount of bokeh because of the 50mm depth of field while providing a very tight angle of view of a 75mm equivalent lens. It should be noted that any sort of depth of field "flattery" caused by a 75mm lens will not be present here because the lens will still have a 50mm depth of field. It should be further noted that I was sent here by @epiclightmedia

Not to forget the quality for the contrast wide open with the RF version is at least stop better than the old EF one. I just got it and I love it, I use it more than the 24-105 rf
Meh I use a Helios 48mm boosted to 60mm 1.7 it's all manual but it's cheap and looks stunning
And sharper with less CA and fringing than the RF
PETER WHY YOU DO THIS. YOU LITERALLY ASKED SIRI ON A VIDEO HOW TO PRONOUNCE “VERSATILE”!

Thanks for this video. I also love this little RF 50mm f1.8, with my Canon RP it makes a Combo. perfect !
Just in case you haven’t picked up what we’re putting down, you have a lot of fans over @epiclightmedia
No matter what they tell you, Thomas Manning didn't send us here to attack your page @epiclightmedia
Thanks for this video. I don't think I need it now, but I'll keep an eye on them for when a job comes up where this might work.

I love how you touch on all the details of a piece of gear with such an engaging personality while making sure viewers know what they're getting into! One thing I think would be awesome is if you could show sample photos straight out of the camera without editing (and maybe comparing with common basic lenses) so we could see that improved quality up front and feel certain it's a deal for us! Luv ya and thanks for the video!! :D
@epiclightmedia
So happy I watched this video! I was stuck on manual focus and couldn’t figure out how to do autofocus with this particular lens I was so upset.
Offcourse its VERSATILE not "VERSATILE"
you are right peter!
The addition of using the focus ring as a control ring is very exciting. Being able to control ISO or shutter speed with the ring will be a game changer. @epiclightmedia
Good morning y’all. Back at it again with @epiclightmedia
Peter McKinnon after finding out @epiclightmedia spammed his video:
Look how they massacred my boy :((
"We are all born ignorant, but one must work hard to remain stupid." @epiclightmedia
@epiclightmedia also played lawrence of arabia. Although having no previous acting experience, upon receiving praises from the casting director, he simply replied, "well, I am Lawrence."
I can't believe I'm letting ThOmAs boss me around but here I am... commenting on king of broll's channel.... @epiclightmedia
