Most of the average men and even boxers cannot knock their opponent out in the first hit. Majority of sanctioned fights don’t end in the first round. The majority of men are not boxers. Majority of UFC champions have had a strong background in wrestling and it has proven to be the dominant discipline in MMA.
@patrickj.8429 It's a reason why Ramon Dekker dominated the muay thai fighters. Please tell me a Thai fighter that dominated the heavyweight K1 division? Catch wrestling will neutralize the clinch game.

I sometimes feel like even though MJW is a legitimate martial artist, his opinions and self centeredness contradict reality. Shamrock wasn't around until ufc 3 or 5? Ok Vlad 👍 lets stick to hip hop
I would agree with MJW, because most times in a street fight you either slam them unconscious into the pavement, or control them from the top, but most wrestlers have no clue what to do when they are on the bottom. If i had to pick one stype for a street fight scenario it would probably be boxing/ju jitzu like Diaz style.
Judo is top dominate you can keep it standing, control how someone lands, get distance to get out of there depending on the situation. Boxing is dope I think high kicks in the street are risky but low kicks are effective and low risk
I’m telling you, he’s 100% right. There’s nothing wrong with getting in a fist fight. That’s how some sh*t gets settled, in public. There’s nothing better than landing a quick left hook and a straight right, leaving that dude on the floor. Also, everyone should get their bell rung at least once. It straightens out your bs really quick. Ever got punched in the head? That drive home will have you rethinking your behavior. Everyone needs that…

@@culturevulture5600 yes but we are talking about street fights. Where the majority of men have no training in any combat sport. What do we see in MMA fights? Boxing/Muay Thai x Wrestling/Jiu-jitsu Either striking by grappling art is the best fighting training, I believe. High mention Sambo! Those dudes get it done also.
10:45 usually I defend you Vlad but I can’t when there is facts on the table.. especially surrounding combat. Wrestling and BJJ suck ass in a real world scenario. It’s only AMAZING when it’s a one on one where you know they have no help. Like a home invasion where anyone in is in already. In most real life fighting scenarios, like a bar fight or a fight in public. You don’t know who tf that person is with. The absolute worst thing you can do is take someone to the ground because now others can come and kick you or get you with a weapon. Their girlfriend is now more emboldened etc.. You NEVER go to the ground in a street fight unless you know how many people they have with them, if it’s more than just them, no wrestling or bjj. BOXING is better suited, as you can incapacitate someone or disrupt them long enough to get away and you’re still on your feet, you can switch targets, you’re more agile and lighter on your feet. Any fighting style with kicks is great in the ufc but again, in real life, that ring you were sparring in is now a venue with a bar and tables, your kicks aren’t as viable in this setting and can harm you. Boxing is the best martial art for self defense. I think it’s said, literally 3-4 months of consistent boxing classes makes you a better fighter than 90% of the population because of the base skills you learn. To be a COMPLETE fighter. Hands, feet, grapples. A good fight stack would be Boxing for hands. kickboxing or Muay Thai for feet, BJJ or wrestling for ground game.. you pick one from each category and learn them.. you’re putting belt to asses.
If you try to wrap somebody up in the street you're probably going to get slammed on the concrete...... I think it goes boxing... wrestling... Then jiu-jitsu... Now if you can put them all together that's perfect... But boxing is King on the street and the best for self-defense nothing like getting in there sparring guys and learning it by doing it...
Yeah it had to be either wrestling or boxing. I was waiting for this part and I called it. Wrestling is a very very powerful martial art, and even more importantly, wrestlers are very very strong people. Muay Thai and wrestling. That’s it for me . I’m good at kimuras…rear nakeds…triangles..arm bars… a couple heel hooks…and guillotines. Mastering those as all I really care about.

Also BJ Penn.
@@allcity6841 yea but I was going for most recent. If you look thru history of course it's plenty of BJJ fighters as Champions. People like Islam even do BJJ techniques & submissions but want to claim they do Sambo 🤦🏿♂️ most recent are Glover Teixeira, Jan Blachowicz, etc I can go on just to name a few
Ok, then fight him

Most of the average men and even boxers cannot knock their opponent out in the first hit. Majority of sanctioned fights don’t end in the first round. The majority of men are not boxers.
Majority of UFC champions have had a strong background in wrestling and it has proven to be the dominant discipline in MMA.
Marco Ruas was the first true MMA fighter. Catch wrestling and Dutch kickboxing are the best forms of fighting.
Id substitute Dutch for Thai boxing since their clinch game is official plus they have elbows
@patrickj.8429 It's a reason why Ramon Dekker dominated the muay thai fighters. Please tell me a Thai fighter that dominated the heavyweight K1 division? Catch wrestling will neutralize the clinch game.
Sanda and maybe I'm being bias. It covers everything except submissions
Yes Marco Ruas was the man!
Bout time Vlad brings in people worth watching I ain checked out Vladimir channel in almost 2 weeks
The fact that Vlad just interviewed Ken Shamrock was just interviewed recently and didn't know that he was in UFC 1... That's ridiculous! And yes, he's asking Michael Jai White the same questions.
The most interesting man in the world returns!!!!!!
Not when you can be kicked and stomped with no ref around to keep other people away
Judo is top dominate you can keep it standing, control how someone lands, get distance to get out of there depending on the situation. Boxing is dope I think high kicks in the street are risky but low kicks are effective and low risk
Every fighter trains jujitsu
I did Taekwondo from the time I was 7 up until I was 20, I wish I learned Boxing as a kid
For the record a boxer like Mayweather won't be able to do much in a street fight against a kung Fu expert like Donnie Yen
@mikhailabdurrachman2443 maybe not but the average person on the street can't fight so boxing would be good
Or REAL TKD as it was originally taught to the Korean military. Whole different animal than WTF nonsense.

This man knows Vlad is lying about his wrestling story lol
He was wrestling against his beer belly.
his smile said it all ^^ looool
I’m telling you, he’s 100% right. There’s nothing wrong with getting in a fist fight. That’s how some sh*t gets settled, in public. There’s nothing better than landing a quick left hook and a straight right, leaving that dude on the floor. Also, everyone should get their bell rung at least once. It straightens out your bs really quick. Ever got punched in the head? That drive home will have you rethinking your behavior. Everyone needs that…
Bruce lee said out of all fighting arts boxing had the most truth . Most martial arts today are for show because they are not how they were back in ancient times . Boxing has always been lethal .Even in ancient times musashi said the various schools in japan were useless wind . Not all fights go to ground ,i have had many street fights and never went to the ground not once .
Most of the average men and even fighters cannot knock their opponent out in the first hit. Wrestling is key
@@culturevulture5600 most ppl arent trained in any martial art at all therefore one punch can easily stop a fight even if you dont knock them out . I have experience in this not just another you tube ' expert ' .

@@culturevulture5600 yes but we are talking about street fights. Where the majority of men have no training in any combat sport. What do we see in MMA fights? Even wrestlers start on their feet and throw hands, till the opportunity to shoot appears. So in a street fight, chances are they will exchange hands, giving the boxer the advantage
How are these two guys fight fans and say Ken Shamrock's first fight was UFC 3?
People forget and make mistakes all the time
I didn't realize what a nice guy Michael is. I'm impressed. 🙂
MJW lowkey smirk at Vlad’s wrestling story
I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed 😂
KYOKUSHIN KARATE IS #1
Yup!
Vlad vs Michael
I wanna see that fight
Douglas, Moore, J Fox?? Those are the only Michaels I give Vlad a chance against.
Vlads security
I think that’s fair, Vlad is 5 years younger.
Boxing/Muay Thai x Wrestling/Jiu-jitsu
Either striking by grappling art is the best fighting training, I believe.
Muay Thai hands down. Elbows, Knees, Leg Kicks, Throws, Sweep and Clinch fighting
wu tang..

Kimo & shamrock 5:07 was a beast !!!! Gracie beating kimo was enough for me
What ya’ll know about Michael’s instructor Bill “ super foot” Wallace?
Benny THE JET Urquidez colder
Ken Shamrock was def in UFC 1. I still have the VHS. He fought against Pat Smith and Royce Gracie.
Vlad lying Rick Ross entourage gave him the most violent incident of his entire life 😂
If you try to wrap somebody up in the street you're probably going to get slammed on the concrete...... I think it goes boxing... wrestling... Then jiu-jitsu... Now if you can put them all together that's perfect... But boxing is King on the street and the best for self-defense nothing like getting in there sparring guys and learning it by doing it...
That Damm home invasion again 😑
Vlad loved telling MJW about martial arts
Yeah it had to be either wrestling or boxing. I was waiting for this part and I called it. Wrestling is a very very powerful martial art, and even more importantly, wrestlers are very very strong people. I would say wrestling and boxing are very close to each other in terms of self defense for everyday street fights. Everything else is just everything else.
I started wrestling at 9 and won tons of street fights until someone with hands dropped me at 16. That was when I took boxing seriously lol
Bruce Lee started to say in 1959 I think that boxing and wrestling are the best forms of fighting in street fighting
Ken Shamrock looks like a mob movie character 😂
Vladtv why do you keep asking Michael Jai White what's the best fighting style? He's never fought professionally. He don't know. You should've ask Jorge Masvidal. Stop asking Michael Jai white and ask real fighters like Ken Shamrock and Jorge. MJW clearly don't know.
but his question was about best "street fighting" style which is not fighting professionally so according to your logic he indeed asked the right person.
@@supreme7738 the people who fight professionally in the UFC are the ones who will beat people asses in a street fight and a lot of them did come from street fighting like Jorge Masvidal. What Mike said about the fighters was true. I heard the same story from my Kung fu teacher about if you were picked, you could not win against the Gracie family. They made you sign a contract on that. So my teacher turned them down for the fight. This was in 1998.
Knuckling up is exhilarating AF and turned me into an andrenaline junkie as a kid
BJJ, Wrestling, Muay Thai, Kickboxing, Sambo, Kudo, Goju-Ryu Karate, Judo, Sanda, Kyokushin Karate and Boxing. Any of these arts are great for the street. Sambo, Goju-Ryu Karate and Kudo are the most well rounded out of every art I mentioned as theh including strikes, grappling and submissions.
