Lord Jamar‘s beef was definitely the Farrakhan issue, but almost equally as much the PAY issue IMO. If you remember the guy, Star (who used to do co-interviews on Vlad’s channel with Lord Jamar) -
Star told a story (on his own RUclips channel) about a conversation he had with Lord Jamar. Star said he asked Jamar whether Vlad pays him or not for interviews. Jamar said “no.… I mean, he sends the limo for me. But no pay.” Star then proceeds to tell Jamar that Vlad DOES in fact pay him (Star) for his interviews, which was news to Jamar. You can tell by the tone of Star’s story that,1) Jamar didn’t know! and was shocked to discover Vlad was actually paying for interviews, and 2) that star was doing Jamar a solid basically putting Vlad on blast for using Jamar in such a way. Because if you remember, Jamar was a regular guest on Vlad…and many can argue Jamar (and Godfrey)was a big part of Vlad TV’s appeal to a particular viewership at the time. Me, personally…I was new to Vlad TV at the time and subscribed mainly because of his interviews with Jamar. So in other words, it had to feel like a betrayal of sorts that Vlad (his “friend”) was doing him like that considering Jamar was an asset to the channel at the time. So if it’s true that Jamar didn’t know about Vlad paying people, you can imagine how it must’ve made him feel upon finding out.
Ahh, thanks for this backstory. I'm a recent subscriber to the Star Report. Do you recall which live Star tells that story? LJ was too generous with his time. I could see doing the first interview on some hip hop isht, but to keep going back over and over and not even promote anything? I don't recall LJ promoting any businesses or anything during his time on VladTV.
