Seriously? Dweezil knocks this out of the park! I absolutely love Van Halen’s album Women and Children First, as there are so many great tracks, as well as deep cuts such as this one❤️😎👍
This song is the genius and the uniqueness of Eddie and that feel and swagger that nobody else had but him a true gift from God...and have to admit Dave's vocals behind it was so unique so original..what an album!!!
This is *SUCH* a deep cut! And when he asks the crowd if anyone knows it, at first it felt like people just cheering to cheer... but really, if any crowd is going to know all of the material of a great band, it's going to be a Dweezil crowd. omg his tone!
Thanks Scott, I was looking forward to hearing this since Dweezil said he was going to play it! If there ever is an official EVH tribute, Dweezil must be involved. He captures Eddie's tone and swing like no other.
Played to absolute perfection, such an incredible tune that is unknown outside VH experts. Always been one of my favorite songs and solos. Wowza. Thanks for capturing it!
Wasn't for sure if he was going to play it. He said on his channel he was, but he did not do it at a least one show because he was not happy with the sound.
People are slow to these yt vids. But I know the appreciation will build of this humongous effort to recreate the feel and sound LIVE! You can have the Frankenstein, amps, tabs, and never miss a note even with all of that the target is so small to actually SOUND like EVH. Dweezil, you are pulling it off, man.
Fair Warning stands, imo, head and shoulders above every other VH album. Ed’s solo on this is a masterclass in time feel. Dweezil is a blessing to the world for keeping Ed’s music alive in such an authentic way.
This was what came out when DLR went to the band and asked them to write a reggae song. One of VH’s more experimental tracks…almost jazz fusion in the solo section. I love it. Great job, guys!
CAN'T STOP WATCHING ALL COPIES OF THIS I FOUND ON YT TODAY! Was a teen when this came out. Remember loving the way it sounded different but still sounded like VH. I couldn't wrap my head around them doing a song like this, and how great it still sounded.
@@DVincentW HOLY! I've ALWAYS thought that! As well as the solo on "Secrets". Have always considered myself a lover of shred and technical guitarists but I hear a solo like this and realize that I'm getting tired of arpeggios and sweeping (can't believe I'm saying that!). MISS these odd inventive, quirky, lyrical non-linear solos from Ed so much. 😢 I miss the EVH scale!!!
One of my all time fave EVH solos. I always felt it leaned into his more jazzy, sophisticated side. And Dweezil definitely nails the tone and feel of Eddie. Amazing.
This song is a prime example of what is missing from today's world of cherry-picking songs to listen to. You miss-out on hearing songs like this that weren't the "Hits" from the album, but are usually so much better.💫
Dweezil is one of only a Handful of Guitar Players that are the best at describing just how Brilliant Eddie Was .. And What an Amazing Cover of a Wonderful Song !
@@ReneAlexisPenalozaMunoz They could even call the tour "For Dad". Individually Dweezil does some Frank. Wolf does some Eddie. Then they get together and play both with more emphasis on Eddie perhaps?
I guess when you invest the time it takes to deep dive and analyze all of Frank's music, you are then set up well to unlock the secrets of Eddies more difficult stuff. This was superb. It is obvious how important it was for Dweezil to capture every nuance possible here, as he did in my opinion.
The bass was definitely re- done by Edward. On Sunset Sounds channel they mention (Brian Kehew) Ed came in late one night during the last days of Fair Warning s mixing and re played a few songs that needed it per his compositions needs. Not to rag on Michael A but a musician preference... that bass is too articulate harmonically wound into the chord changes to be anyone else but Edward.
The solo is great, but the rest of the song struggles to achieve the sound of halen with the sound of the drums and rhythm section and general flow of tune.
The solo in this is one of Eddie’s best. It doesn’t get the attention it deserves.
I agree with you.
I am so grateful that Dweezil is keeping this music alive & for all of the great interviews and tutorials. He's an amazing cat
Yes he is.
Really cool of Dweezil to bring this deep cut to life... Well done! 🔥😎
Agreed

Absolutely.
Listened to Fair Warning every day before school in the 80's, it was breakfast basically. And training my ear.
Me as well.

One of the many gems deep in the VH catalog. Hidden treats for the serious fans.
Yes it is.

Ok… watching this for the tenth time but I still have to comment on how great this is!!!
Agreed 👍

You NEVER hear anyone cover this classic. Well done DZ! Tnank you

I knew a lot of people would like to hear this one.
.. it is the Allan Holdsworth influence on Edward.
@ yep, big time in the solo.

I thought it was a odd pick for him but I he did a great job.
Allan Holdsworth influence on Edward 😅

Aka 'Hidden Gems'..
I just want to go back.
@TheNorthEnd71 It was a better time for sure.💫
You learned it. Bravo!
I noticed he did not perform it at one show because he wasn't happy with his tone or his playing. Glad he figured it out.
Sounds great! Such a cool tune! Shout out to the lighting director as well , the stage looks incredible.
Yes
I love this song to. Dweezil made me cry. Thanks for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed it. Him and the band blew me away.
🌠OOH MAN SOO GOOD ..THANKS 4 SHARING IT ...
Glad you enjoyed it

And What an Amazing Cover of a Wonderful Song !
I've noticed "close enough " is not good enough for him. That's why he is an amazing player.
Perhaps Dweezil and Wolfgang should do a Van Halen tribute tour? ?
What a great show that would be.
I'd pay to see that.
@@ReneAlexisPenalozaMunoz They could even call the tour "For Dad". Individually Dweezil does some Frank. Wolf does some Eddie. Then they get together and play both with more emphasis on Eddie perhaps?
That's a great idea!
Oh hell yeah!! Great idea❤
Anyone who covers any tune from Fair Warning is just fine with me. One of Edward's finest years...1981
Yes and yes.
I love it, and I can't wait to hear it in Chattanooga later this year.
I loved the show so much I'm going to Chattanooga as well.
If anyone can cover Eddie it would be Dweezil and Wolfie . This is a great cover!! Love Dweezil
Me too
Great job! Boca sounds really good and Dweezil nailed that solo😊
It was a great show.
Outstanding. Thank you for sharing 🎼🎸🤟🥳
You're welcome.
Outstanding!
I agree!
Great tribute. Thanks for sharing!
Glad you enjoyed it
AWESOME DWEEZIL!!!
It was a great show.
YES!!! Dweezil… as if there were any doubt that you’s nail the solo.
#trueVanHalenDisciple
I know, right.
My Boy My Boy
Yes
That’s Awesome!! Thanks for Sharing!!
Thanks for watching!
Great job!
Agreed
One of my favorite VH songs
I knew many people would like this one including me, which is why I recorded it
Soooooo good!!!
Yes indeed.
Thank you Dweezil for answering the question
" I wonder how this song would sound live"
It's obvious now that the answer is pretty freaking awesome!
I thought so too.
Hello Dweezil, bravo, that's an excellent version of Push comes to shove, cool ;-)
Glad you like it!
Reggae funk beat 💓
My absolute favorite VH song!!!
Nice.
Awesome
I thought so too.
Yes
Soooooooooooo gooooooooddddd!!!!!!!!
Yes
Dweezil should be the guitarist on the Best of All Worlds tour.
Yes
That was incredible!!! Edward is smiling down and giving a thumbs up!!!!
I think so too.
Well fn done Dweezil Zappa!! 🏆
I agree. The whole show was great.
Dweezil is a badass on guitar his dad and Edward and Via etc have got to be proud as can be he carry's the torch well
I'm sure of it.
Awesome.😎😎😎
Thanks! It's a great song.
Killed the solo!
I agree.
beaut.
Agreed
This man is impressive!
The whole band is.
The end coda is well worth the length of the song entirely fantastic. 🎉
I agree.
Nailed it.

Great band performance. Eddie's best solo.
Yes. I agree.
Nice
It was an awesome show.
VH’s Fair Warning was my introduction. Fell in love with the entire album.
I did as well.
GREAT album!
I thought of Dweezil when they were talking about a EVH concert or tour. He has the EVH sound down better then Satrani did.
Dweezil knows more than anyone about Eddie's sound. I mean come on, Ed gave him a guitar at age 12.
Is there anything left in that bottle?
Yeah, give it here, man
I was looking forward to this song in Houston, but I understood he wasn't ready.
I think he performed it one show before Nashville. It was the one song I already knew I was going to record. Sorry you missed out.
@@ScottHarris794I didn't miss out because you posted it. Thanks!
Bless your sassy right hand.!🎸
Yes
Close, but no cigar !!!
I thought Dweezil did fine.
Is that Corey singing?
No, it's Bobby.
I’m just a push over
Over and over

Tad fast
Usually happens when live.
The solo is great, but the rest of the song struggles to achieve the sound of halen with the sound of the drums and rhythm section and general flow of tune.
Not sure the band enjoys doing that song.
Dweezil does the best VH covers. But that drummer ruined the solo, horrible sounding snare drum
Not sure the band enjoys doing that song.
Their worst song with Roth
I think Happy trails was.
Stage is way too bright. Doesn't fit mood at all. 🤮
That's house lights for ya.
