For people who don't understand the film, both of them were wrong. It's just that Caleb took the initiative to save the marriage and in the end, became a better person in which he influenced his wife to become a better person herself or as she said at the end, to be like him. Just like how Caleb's mother used the Love Dare to become a better person and influenced Caleb's father. It's sort of like the Christian idea of being a better person to incite curiosity of others to know why or how.

This is a GREAT movie. Yeah, i concede, some of the acting wasn't the best, but for me, that does not detract from the movie. I don't go to a movie to worship the actors or carry on about how great they are. It's the storyline i'm interested in, and this story is extremely important and relevant. Well done, Kirk and Erin, and all involved in this GREAT movie that points people to Christ. The harvest is plentiful, but the workers few.

This was a great movie because it made you laugh and cry and it had some very "on the edge of your seat" moments!! A true love story that for once, seemed real and not so...not so "Hollywood created."

    Here's what I don't get:
Cameron spent years working in a professional enviroment. Didn't he learn anything he could then pass on to his Christian colleagues?
Or do they just not listen to the 'Hollywood' way of doing things, even technical things?
The acting in Clerks was better, and that movie was so low budget the same people played multiple roles in the movie.

There are a lot of films that do promote decency and morality but do not promote Christianity. Christian films are made to specifically fill that gap. The problem is that so many Christian movies are focused on putting Christianity front and center that they forget to add decent acting and writing to go along with it. Hopefully the quality of Christian films will go up over time, though films like "Fireproof" show it'll be quite a while before they do.

Kirks character was a lost man, who was in the process of a divorce, but the marriage is saved when he came to Christ. So stop saying all those bad things about him and realize the actual meaning of the movie!

+Alley Maeger "No marriage can survive without god" Nah . . . No. Phil Zuckerman recently published an article on the study that came to an interesting conclusion about data presented by Bengston. Zuckerman found that the atheists were not directionless or devoid of familial solidarity. Instead, he found that atheist families tended to be close to their families with powerful standards of morals which were being passed to their families through the generations.

Alley Maeger I was in the same situation with my wife.We are almost divorced but God stoped that.He said this to me :Do not leave the battlefield! satan wants to destroy your family and your daughters future and your life .satan wants to destroy the history of your lives ! he wants to erase it.But do not be afraid for I'm with you.I'm Jesus your God! Don't even think about the divorce! So we did not.Even though the battle is continuing Lord Jesus is with us! And you know what??I'm a former shia muslim. Now saved by the Grace of the Almighty God of Israel!!! Amen!!!

Caleb beats the trash can twice & when he's done he turns to see his neighbor was watching him do it.
    Caleb: "Mr. Rudolph"
    Mr. Rudolph: "Caleb"
Later Caleb beats & destroys his computer 🖥️💻 with a ⚾ bat & sets the the computer tower on the table & sees Mr. Rudolph & his wife were watching him do it.
    Caleb: "Mr. Rudolph."
    Mr. Rudolph: "Caleb."
    Caleb: "You doing okay today?"
    Mr. Rudolph: "No, not really."
Caleb decides to go back to the hostilities & continues to beat & destroy his computer tower. Mr. & Mrs Rudolph watch him do it.
Mr. Rudolph, to his wife.: I don't want you talking to that guy. He is weird."
Mrs. Rudolph: "Takes one to know one."
All those moments were absolutely hilarious. I guess even Christian movies have to have a little bit of comedy in them.

I missed this one at the Oscars. How'd that happen....?

    • @emmaduncan2991

according to the people who make these awful movies, it's a big conspiracy! Kirk and Kevin Sorbo, are both better actors than Daniel Day Lewis, and Leonardo DiCaprio, and should have shelves of Oscars, between them!

Very old comment.. but I’m watching this clip again. You won’t find any movies at the Oscars that aren’t glorifying the actors themselves.

I thought the point of the movie is that marriage can't work without effort, even when I watched it twice all those years ago I mean yeah God could be there but it's still down to the people involved and Idk

@@CodeOssyria that's true, a lot of people like to blame things not working on God, and as a Christian I am saying choices are still down to you.

For those who have not seen the whole movie not only is this random scenes from the movie, but these scenes are cut and put together differently with missing parts. It seems to make the scenes loose quality as you don't see the build up to certain parts. It makes it feel disjointed, it's also hard to keep up with the switch from the serious scenes to funny then back to serious again.

At the end of the movie though you hear Catherine say "Whatever has happened to you, I want to happen to me too." And you see him at the end leading her to the cross. So in the end they both repent and turn from their ways.
