If you're on lockdown like me and feeling a little down from all the darkness going on right now, I hope these clips make you laugh and keep you entertained while we are unable to see our family and friends. The McLovin’ scene from Superbad is easily one of the funniest movie scenes of all time. It’s so beautifully written with how realistic it is, which just makes it even funnier
Sam Wisdom // It‘s OK but hardly „the“ funniest ever about fake ID. That‘s almost a trope of teenage comedies - fake IDs, how to get them and how they fail. Best part was actually spoofing said trope with the reasoning why the ID says 25 years.
@@magicmulder No he's right.. I'd seen my fair share of comedies by the time I watched Superbad, but that scene was pure gold. In my opinion, this scene and the one with the Dick pictures alone ranks this among modern comedy classics..in fact most of their later work, Pineapple express included, couldn't top the simplistic genius of this one

depends on your mindest, pov, etc. it is a bit flat and you dont exactly have to think around any corners to get it, its an "in your face" kind of comedy. its still funny, but not exactly witty. a lot of peoply get bored with this kind of comedy pretty quickly rather than "hating it".

The first half of the movie is a masterpiece, then it nose dived and dies a horrible painful death. Steve Coogan being cast was so unescessary and added no value to the comedy whatsoever!

Comedy seemed to just die after 2010.
We went from Old School, Talladega Nights, Anchorman, Pineapple Express, Step Brothers, Superbad, Tropic Thunder in back to back years (or multiple a year) to....NOTHING. WTF. Give me back my ridiculous comedies Hollywood. The guy who wrote the movie Barbarian, Zach Cregger, was in the Whitest Kids U Know sketch group and they have been streaming on Twitch since the pandemic started. Zach said these movies don't happen anymore because Hollywood only cares about making movies that will sell in China and China is against this kind of "stoner comedy" type movie. Fuck China man.
