We have to pay a premium for short term rentals/hostels. Don't always have access to kitchens so we buy food from restaurants more often and we probably spent more on transportation because we are visiting many places. That would be my guess!

Skopje has beautiful nature nearby, Matka Canyon. The city itself is covered in statues but these are all new and the story behind them is quite sad. All of Yugoslavia is beautiful and we highly recommend visiting!
