- Small, but Mighty! Dr. Martin reviews AccuTite, a new technology that uses Radio-Frequency Assisted Lipolysis (RFAL) to reduce fat and tighten skin in very small areas on the face and body. Dr. Martin and Amy discuss how this safe, in-office procedure is a quick and efficient alternative to many types of cosmetic surgery.
I really enjoyed hearing about AccuTite from you guys, so much so that I Subscribed. I’m excited to discuss the procedure with my Plastic Surgeon.
Hi Lisa, thanks so much for watching and subscribing!
thanks for the great review. Could you explain how this treatment works for the under eye areas/hollows if it also melts the fat- which is something perhaps you would rather preserve than get rid of?
That’s a great question. AccuTite is quite superficial and we take care to avoid fat pockets. AccuTite does not require aspiration so there is not intentional removal of fat. Fat pockets around the eyes can descend and bulge with age and are often surgically removed during a Blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery).
From what I just heard from the video Accutite may not be for someone who has excessive skin whatever age, however I was wondering if one is 65 years old plus will the procedure be effective? I ask this because my understanding of the sub layers of skin, at that age, may not produce enough collagen to cause tightening regardless of whether the top layer has excessive skin or not.
Hi Dj, yes that is correct, AccuTite is not meant to treat areas with a lot of excess skin no matter the age of the patient. We have found AccuTite to be successful in all age groups, even those over 60, however it is important to have realistic expectations. It will not replace formal skin removal surgeries for those with a lot of excess skin. Great question!
Hi. You mentioned wanting suggestions on new areas to treat. Would it be possible to treat soft pallet to reduce snoring?
Hi Elsie, thanks so much for the great suggestion! We will be discussing this treatment area on our October 1st episode, "Listener Questions".
i wish you would actually show the procedure on a person and what it looks like etc. Also, would like before and after pictures
Hi Cody, thank you for the feedback! You can find before and after pictures and videos on our Instagram page @jasonmartinmd or at www.denveraccutite.com, check out the in-office treatment tab for a video of the procedure!
I hope this is the answer to my eyebags !
Hi Jessica! Thanks for watching! Accutite is an awesome option for addressing under eye bags!
Does this device harm the nerves?
That's a great question. When used correctly AccuTite is extremely safe and should not result in any nerve damage. It is important to keep in mind that AccuTite is a tool that relies on a human to opperate it appropriately. A scalpel does not inherently cause nerve damage, it can if used incorrectly. That's why we always stress the importance of seeking out a highly qualified board certified plastic surgeon with extensive knowledge of facial anatomy.
What do you recommend for deep lip lines???
It really depends on you! For most people a combination of filler and skin resurfacing is the best bet but your doctor may recommend a different option(s) based on your presentation.
Can Accutite help shrink undesirable results of a under eye fat transfer? Can the heat be adjusted and can it just tighten and lift with no fat loss?
Hi Kristine! Thanks for watching. It is possible to use AccuTite under the eyes without notable fat loss. Another option you may want to look into is Morpheus8 or Venus Viva, both are external radio frequency devices that can be used in the undereye area to improve texture and tone and provide some mild skin tightening. Morpheus8 does have the potential to disrupt or reduce fat in areas of treatment so it's a good idea to have that conversation with your provider to determine if it's a good option for you. :)
@@JasonMartinMD thank you. Do you think that Accutite could possibly dissolve the fat transfer under the eyes that are undesirable?
Hi Kristine, potentially, it primarily depends on where the fat is located and how far out you are from your fat transfer. Definitely worth a consultation with a plastic surgeon to see if AccuTite would be a good option!
Hi I have minor skin laxity around the under eyes and I noticed when I get cheek fillers it pulls the skin up and looks smooth. Is AccueTite a good procedure in lieu of filler which don’t last long? I don’t have any fat to lose so I am concerned about fat loss I just want skin tightening. I have already had ETwo and Morpheus8 treatments on my mature eyes
Hi Pamekay, we can't give you a definitive answer without seeing you in person, however, it's important to remember that AccuTite will not pull or remove skin and the best/only way to achieve a long-lasting pull is actually to pull with a facelift or eyelid lift. Morpheus and AccuTite are the same radiofrequency energy just applied topically or internally, if you are not seeing enough improvement with Morpheus, AccuTite may also not be enough. Thanks for watching!
@@JasonMartinMD sounds like I need to just stick with filler Thank you
Filler is a great option until/if you are ready for formal surgery. Filler technology is constantly improving and evolving, it may be worth trying some of the newer longer-lasting generations of fillers or fat transfer to extend your results.
@@JasonMartinMD I will just get filler. I really don’t need a face lift yet 😂. What is the longest lasting filler. My doc uses Restylane lift
Hi Pamekay, most of the newer fillers will last 9+ months. Which one lasts the longest for you and your unique physiology may take some experimentation with the options your injector offers.
Whats the price on the lower eyelid.
Hi Yvonne, pricing for cosmetic procedures is very custom to the patient and will vary based on many factors, including where you live. We do not provide cost estimates prior to consultations. Our episode about the cost of plastic surgery explains why in detail. Thanks for watching!
Can you recommend a Dr. Where are you located? Anyone else you can recommend?
Hi Kim! We are located in Denver, CO. Here's a link to find an AccuTite provider near you: inmodemd.com/physician-finder/
Can you do the earlobe ?
Hi Angela! Thanks for watching! Earlobes are an area we have discussed as being a definite possibility! We haven't used it for earlobes yet but it's a tool in the toolbox for sure!
Malar Bags?
Hi Violet, yes, AccuTite can address under eye (malar) bags and festooning.
