The artwork in this is just brilliant, as is a lot of the music! I love the dancer at 10:05 - the bones/joints on the wireframe are extremely well done.
Al82: Retrogaming Longplays & Reviews Was always quite amazed by this demo, the code & graphics and that audio! but that wire frame dancer being extremely smooth was just the icing on the cake. Not bad for a computer from 1982 ;)
lactobacillusprime Really is quite something in all areas. Boundaries thrashed that i ain't seen since Edge of Disgrace. These guys have a good habit of this. C= for life!
(Not) Fun fact: I ran this demo on real C64 and 1541 disk drive and it ran fine, but after that vic chip was damaged. I've ran it succesfully with same C64 and drive with swapped vic chip though and it looks fantastic on crt monitor. The 1541 drive I have isn't always the most reliable to keep up with these demos though. Although the problem could have been also in floppy copying process or in floppy disk itself. But it's anyway really satisfying to see and hear these in original hardware!
Hi! Sadly, the SD2IEC does not emulate a true, cycle exact 1541 disk drive. If you want to run demos from an SD card, I heard the 1541 Ultimate II cartridge ( www.1541ultimate.net/content/index.php ) is a good choice. If you have enough real diskettes and a working 1541 disk drive, you could always use programs like CBM-Command to copy .d64s from SD to a real diskette, but I don't know if you should really confront your poor old disk drives with these constant loading processes :)
I have seen this (in awe) multiple times. Only now did I realise the water at the end is resting on burning hot power supplies!
you are right, thank you :D
Awesome, 7 years old and I’ve only just come across this video
I am pleased to see that the commodore 64 has still it´s place in the demo scene.
dude, the c64 *is* the demoscene.
The first flip disk tune is my favorite.
Imagine seeing this back in the early 80s? I think people would have flipped their lids...;-)
Michael Tanner, did you mean flip their disks?
I wouldve blown a gasket
@@binarypench i was poor, i could only flip my tape
They would freak the fuck out
Still one of the very best 👌

Hi , how can I open this in a real c64? I tried with the d64 format in the sd2iec but all new demos give an error.
