I just "Returned" from an amazing trip to Malta that Jennifer arranges several times per year. She has made the Journey to Malta an amazing pilgrimage back through the ancient cultures discovered there. It is where her album Returning was recorded in The Hypogeum and will not be open to the public much longer. Jennifer sings her way, and our way, through the magnificent discoveries on Malta, of cultures that were nearly lost and now , through her, have RETURNED!"

This heart work can be deeply, deeply healing. And this song can also deeply serve that practice.

Until this morning, I was not aware of what Jennifer Berezan was doing in the world. Now I am sort of in awe. She, even more than the Playing for Change people, seems to have "gotten" the message that first surfaced in the One Giant Leap project and continued to explore what can be done, setting up cameras at the intersection of big ideas and spirituality and watching people make music there, suggesting a truly inclusive view of humanity and what it "means" to be merely one tiny point in the perpetually unfolding tapestry of life on this planet.

Just came back from a giant family reunion/celebration of my dear Aunt's 90th birthday with over a hundred in attendance. Out of many we were one each filled with love. I will pass this forward to my diverse extended family and friends.

This is an answer to a prayer. I have been sitting with the current unfolding of human’s inhumanity to itself and its planet. Keeping an open heart and holding the space for everything with no exclusions is a work of epic proportions at this time. Many days I have to withdraw from more input to restore some level of balance, but the weight of these times is always with me. We are all here and share this time together. May we stay awake, see what must be seen, and gift each moment with openhearted presence to the best of our ability. Thank you for this beautiful work

Thank you Irene. The 'silence', it will never desert me, is the affirmation of the Eternal Self, that Lord Buddha has tried to convey through zero state, shunyata. It is the other side of the coin of purnatva or completeness of Shankara. Also the melody is perennially appealing because of the connection with the core of human beings, it is as if the mass of suffering humanity is yearning for this from the Source that is always healing, the Self within all.
