The comments about a 213 par 4 is right on. Its a 6 iron par 3 for the PGA players, buts lets not overlook the fact that it was still a great shot. Even as a par 3. How many aces have you guys made in your life time on a par 3? I've been playing over 20 years and am a 2 handicap and I have never had one. They're elusive and requires lots of luck. The closest I got was on a par 3. The ball landed about 4 feet behind the pin, it spun back, hit the flagstick and ended up 6 inches away.
I genuinely understand what people are getting at with the course length, but people saying it shouldn't be celebrated because it's not long enough is ludicrous. A hole-in-one is rare for a reason because of how difficult they are and should be celebrated no matter the length.
