Watch Crobot with a cup of tea first thing when I wake up. It's such fun to watch. Love the little duck turning up for some nosh. Think I'll get myself a duck suit and turn up for some free food. Seriously, keep the blogs coming. Happy days.
You two have the best comedic sense and your editing is amazing. I don’t care what you are doing on the boat, you are endearing and entertaining. Fingers crossed you get hot water soon! 🤗😊 Kathy
How nice....an easy job on the Wombat. Well done. Pays to have some experience makes things go faster. That and you didn't have the water to contend with. Thanks for the laughs too. Wishing you all the best on the hot water project. Deb
I know Deb! It's so nice to have a straightforward job for once! It was easier to some extent because it had had time to dry out, although the rust was a little more stubborn to scrape off! Thank so much for continuing to watch and join us on our journey 🙂
We’re pretty new subscribers and have really been enjoying catching up with your back catalogue of trials and tribulations pursuing your narrow boat dreams. Your Christmas one had us crying laughing ! Keep up the great work 😂👍🏼
thank you so much for joining us on our adventure, the Christmas one really came out great....wont be long till a new Christmas one haha take care Maria and Will
Thank you so much Vik, you have been so generous to us, were one step closer to being able to get out batteries thanks to you, we cant thank you enough ❤️❤️
Hi Chris and Becca. Bet it feels good to have clean Bilges that are protected now. I’m sure that you’re glad that for once there wasn’t a hiccup 😄 Take care. Nick
Really love this! You are the only Nomad that lives in one spot! Just like a wall clock you move all the time and still doesn't change your address! Perfect!
The canals are going to dry up before you get on them guys. A great job done on rust treatment folks. Keep calm and carry on. Hope you are well both. Keep safe warm dry and virus free both.
Hahaha!!!!! This may well be true. We are on a good roll at the moment so fingers crossed it won't be too much longer! Thanks so much and the same to you too David 😊
Hi both, another brilliant, funny and entertaining vlog. You surely now must have the most clean and protected bilges of all narrowboats....well maybe not all but quite a few. Good to see the now legendary Titan making an appearance 🙂👍
Cheers David, we must have cleanest bilges it town at this point, the Titan will be upset when we go cruising and we cant plug him because he uses up to much energy, will have to get him stuffed
of course it is how silly of me, we have enjoyed the process but there have had our off day, if we dont laugh will cry, it cant be too long till we set sail
Always a smile when your vlog appears. No more rusty top base plate, something off the list, you should write a diary, it would make great reading in the future and a wealth of knowledge to others. We see you happy and just getting on with it, but is this just for the camera...answers on a postcard x
Aww thanks Garry, it is a really nice feeling to have that ticked off the list. Now for the other 4000 jobs to complete!! To be honest we show it really how it is warts and all! We certainly have our moments but we are just being our crazy selves on the camera 😂 I don't know whether that's a good thing or bad 😂
Narrowboat vlogs had become very samey, endless cruise videos endless talks about how lovely and peaceful it all is pretty boring tbh then you guys turn up with slick editing crazy mishaps and endless banter just what was needed. Theres no other channel quite like yours perfectly unique very current and growing fast, you guys are brilliant, if the last couple of years is anything to go by your cruising vlogs will be amazing! 😁🎉😁👍
Oh wow what an amazing comment thank you so much 🥰 We always wanted to put our take on things and really it is just an honest reflection of what we are like. We share it all, good and bad!!! We are so looking forward to cruising and whatever it may bring 😊
Oh I'm so relieved you have finally finished the bilges! That's been a remaining nagging issue, and now you can do some proper decorating in the lounge! But please for the love of the Goddess throw out that nasty old carpet! Heave Ho to the dumpster (that's the tip to you all)! The plywood is nicer than than it! 🤣 I'm sure B&Q will have some cheap carpet remnants, or better yet wood grain vinyl, until you are ready for your final flooring choice. 🫶
Oh it's such a good feeling. There's only the bow thruster area to tackle now which will be interesting!! Don't worry, I'm totally with you, that horrible carpet is DEFINITELY going!!! 😂 We've been looking into flooring options so hopefully will be sorting that out soon 🤞
It's great to see you both back, but wait we have not seen the Titan for ages. Next episode will the Maveric be back, can't wait. Look after yourselves and each other.
That was better than watching dr pimple popper ! Picking scabs it what it was like lol !! Good job my Pettit poi’s ! It’s getting so exciting !! Xxx love you guys xxx
I watched the whole of the video waiting for the disaster or bad news when you lifted the floor.... I then had to double-check that I was watching a Crobot video... not one disaster, and it all went to plan.... Hopefully, the rest of your jobs will go as smoothly 😏👍
Ha! I know! What's that all about!! I think we were just as surprised ourselves to be honest. Never has a job gone as smooth on board the wombat! Maybe this is the start of something new 🤞😂
Nothing like bilge cleaning even though it is like metal clearing - hey go and weigh that all in..... Good to see the Titan making a reappearance!!!!! - Will give you a wave when we are at Eaton Socon this weekend!
Another great Vlog. Although the rust lifted looked quite worrying, in reality, the metal lost is minimal. Just a thought, when you go cruising next, why not moor her Bow first, then when you come to leave, quick reverse thrust and away you go.
Thank you 😊 Yeah it certainly was worrying when we first saw in it the back room but after lots of investigation and finding out we have a hull thickness of 20mm we feel relatively secure! It's good to know the internal hull will be nice and protected for a good few years to come too. That's a good idea I think we would be a bit worried about there being enough room to turn the nose round though as it's so tight for our 60ft. It might be worth a go though 🙂👍
Becca and Chris ~ my husband and I just love to watch the both of you. Your personalities are just adorable and funny. You are going to make it to your continuous life of cruising, and we can't wait and will be so happy for you! Love your friends Jeanie & Larry (from Long Island, NY)

Help l can't believe I've just watched an adult volg from you.Very good guy's, get that Aldi heating boiler fixed lve got that system in my caravan wouldn't change it for the world. But chris don't touch anything.😂😂😂 😂😂😂.
Haha! I know! What's going on! Thank you! It's a nice feeling ticking more jobs off the list! Oh really, wow that's really good to know thank you! Don't worry, il keep him away from it!! 😂😂😂
It's a carpetoligist, some people? It's always nice to know that steel expands 6-10 times it thickness when it rusts, so those huge chunks is next to nothing. Love watching you both as it makes me feel normal........lol
Chris you being a carpenter would be a bit like me being a nurse, I’d be really terrible at it, not because I can’t handle the sight of blood but because I don’t have a medical bone in my body. I was really scared what was going to be under that floor, my brain said it will be right but taking your luck into account I had visions if lots of water. Bloody great guys all good and a brilliant job done in two days. I noticed the hatches (maybe I should say hatch as I only saw one) is still looking great. You’ll soon be on the water for good. All great this time. Take care and see you soon. 💕
This is a very good point Pauline, I would be a disaster, thats it for the rust it seams...give it a few years and it will all be back (hopefully not) , the hatches are still ok at the moment , thank you for your comment have a great week take care
It’s incredible how big the Rusty Steel becomes. Good job it scrapes up easily. So much easier second time around doing that job . You are developing your Skill levels. Don’t forget to save your bits of old Carpet ( if they are a good fit ) as you can use them as a Template for the new one. Your going to be SO BORED! Once you get it all finished 😊
Yeah well that's it but like you say, we are pros at it now!!! 😂 That's a good idea thanks but we are thinking of going with wooden flooring in the lounge I think. Haha! I know!!! What will we do with ourselves!! 😂
So glad to see The Titan back in action! For while I've been wondering if all the RUclips fame and fortune went to his head, he went on a bender, and was in celebrity rehab. 😂
You are always entertaining to watch - both such likeable characters. Well done on all of that hard work and pleased for you that all went smoothly for a change!
yes i would say those weld holes are there to keep new bottom panel from bellying ,as they can weld around the outside ,but cannot weld anywhere else ,
Did any more testing on the starting(oar or swim) & storage batteries(or candles) ? How about another solar panel ? Maybe a few dozen fenders might help since no one , no bridge or boat is safe from being rammed - Oh a first aid kit w/ bone fracture kit could be needed during the boiler install - These are somethings that might be handy before continuously cruising - RUclips won't show the bloody parts - he he
We have sort of put that to one side for a moment whilst we focus on some of the things that were hindering our progress inside the boat. We will definitely be looking into it more soon though. Definitely more solar panels and I think you might be onto something with the fenders! Maybe we should just wrap the entire boat in bubble wrap!! That oughta keep us safe 😂 Haha!!! I reckon our first aid kit is gonna be pretty extensive, that's all I'm saying... 😂😂😂
I think the bilge looks even before removing the corrosion crust not half bad doesn’t it ? Btw I loved the previous episode cruising and exposing yourselves to adders and prickly plants and cooking on a campfire. Don’t know about you but I find food made in the open air on a campfire always much more tastier than cooking on a kitchenstove, how about you? Anyways thanks for your episode! Cheers, Albert
Well this is it, I think the bilges towards the back end of the boat were by far the worst as that's where the water sat for the longest so the top end wasn't bad at all really! I said exactly the same thing to Chris when I was cooking in the fire, it's just so much better and wholesome too. I'd happily live in the woods and do everything that way if I could. Thanks so watching Albert, see you next time 😊
I do enjoy your videos. But Chris you must have sent your mum and teachers grey early! Hope they also had a good laugh. I always say my boys sent me grey at thirty. All the best! Wow hot water! I dream of hot water in my wee van. But that's the trouble she is small!. Haha.
Hahaha!!! Yeah well now you mention it Glen I think I'm also turning a bit grey! Becks here by the way! 😂 Yeah it's going to be amazing having hot water again 🥰 Aww well you could always get a small hot water tank? They do really little calorifiers for vans and small boats... Just a thought 🤔
Yes they do. But with my companion cat's bathroom and kitty litter box (holding supply of said kitty wood pellets) there is no room. I do have a big thermos though. That's my hot water! And am very good at finding showers, sometimes. Take care.
Hi Becca and Chris. She seems to be enjoying herself with all this TLC you are lavishing on her and she is behaving herself with No surprises 😳. Your Landrover we saw the other day and if you were wondering who the F the numpty was flashing you it was me and my partner lol 😂. Becca and Chris, thinking back to the Barford Bridge Bash Episode and the damage it caused to the Canvas Awning you have on the front of your Boat, obviously at some point you will probably get the Canvas repaired but I have a bit of a Good idea I think for the pair of you for the future. The accident was unavoidable because of the River currant and because of the shape of the Arches of the bridge it will always be the canvas and the corner of the front of the boat that takes the punishment….. But what if you Made ( fabricated ) two handrail type pieces that would fit either side of the canvas and be attached to the front top corner of the boat and then at the Bow ? So like the frame that holds the Canvas up but on the outside ?. A couple of strengtheners welded on but keeping the doorway clear. It would save your canvas awning in the future and your boat on the corner from getting a whack !!. Chris it’s Cygnets ( Baby Swans ). Keep the faith Guys, won’t be long now until you are plodding the Cut ❤
sorry a bit late to answer this comment, flash away 😂 were about was this?? Yes we are looking into getting that small strip replaced on the canvas, the accident was probably a few different factors... my in experience , the river flow and the bridge being on a bend and missing its bumper...but we can learn from it. That's a really great idea thank you for your suggestion. Its also something I could hang and dangle off like a climbing frame 😂 fingers crossed we make it to the cut soon, thank you so much
@@TheNomadicCrobot No problem with the late reply, you are busy and at least you did respond. We saw your Car in St.Neots and both of you were in the car, looked like you had come from the B+Q near the KFC/Burger King area and you were heading back into Town. My Girlfriend wondered who I was flashing with the Headlights Lol 😆. I got the Evils hehehe 😂. I don’t think the Barford bridge was down to your inexperience, the river can flow fast though there and it is a bit of a horrible angle to come from,it’s where you definitely need that Bow Thruster working. I am not sure if having a bumper would work on the Archway because it would narrow the Gap even further and it would probably get damaged straight away and then be a hindrance, more than a Help !. I had a word with a Fabricator and he recommended that 99% of the Canal boats would be better off with some sort of Frame/Handrail on the Bows that would protect the Hull/Shell of your boat,he goes out and has to weld/repair quite a few Boats that have hit Arched Bridges just like what happened to you.. he was saying that one boat had hit that hard it broke a weld in the bulkhead immediately below where it was hit on that corner !. It would probably look kinda Cool, give some good protection to the Boat and you have something to hang on when you board at the Bow,easy to fix in place and fabricate from stainless steel round handrail material and of course it protects the awning from hanging branches and those awnings aren’t cheap !. Funny thing is I always wondered why there is No Steering position at the front ? Can’t be that difficult to put some control cables down the sides inside the Hull ? You wouldn’t need to have a helm there all the time even? But wouldn’t it be Fun if you could steer from the front and see better where you are going ? You would be hiding away inside the awning if it’s raining or you could have a open cockpit if it was a Sunny Day? I just wonder why no boat builders have done it or customers have requested it !??. Wouldn’t it be easier to control a Narrow Boat from the Front ? You could even have Mirrors on the Frame you had built hehehe. Dual control would be better in my thinking 🤔???!!!. Keep up the great work and videos guys, hope it’s not getting too Hot for you with this Weather. Apparently it’s meant to be getting a lot hotter and I think we are going to have a extremely Hot Summer this year,it reminds me of 76 ??🥵
A carpenter! Wood (pun intended) you really class yourself as a wood or carpet fitter? 🤣🤣🤣 glad to see this week's work was not a hard job to do, and no killer insects or snakes. ☹️☹️
Hey guys I love u both ❤ USA pa here Norristown pa I WANTED TO ASK AFTER YOUR TREAT THE RUST WHY DON'T any one use TotalBoat TotalBilge Epoxy Based Bilge Paint for Boat Bilges, Bulkheads, Engine Rooms and Locker Areas, White, 1 Quart ON THERE NARROWBOATS ?? BILGES ? THA KS GUYS ❤❤👍🏾🙏🏾👌🏾🤞🏾❤️
Hey hey, aww thank you so much for your lovely comment. Sending lots of love over to you in Norristown! We did use a two pack epoxy paint on the other sections of the bilges but then realized that it was a bit overkill and having researched it realized that the aquasteel was more than adequate enough on its own so we decided to just stick to that on this section. Our baseplate is 20mm thick so it should last for many many years!! Thanks for watching 😊
@@TheNomadicCrobot Hey thanks for answering my question I always wonder why I see a lot of the boats over there they don't use a bilge paint Now I know Thanks 👍🏾🙏🏾❤️❤️

Whoa. A non-disasterous Crobot episode! At 762 views in 45 minutes, I don't think it has damaged your numbers any. Except among the brain-eating spiders that watch the vlog. You know they're watching, in large numbers. Or at least they used to. Now that you're renovating all the creepy little corners, they will have less interest.

That really did look satisfying. Great job. Best wishes.
Ahh it really is! And so nice once it's all done too!
So glad to see The Titan back in action! For while I've been wondering if all the RUclips fame and fortune went to his head, he went on a bender, and was in celebrity rehab. 😂
The Titan has always been very cocky, dame right the RUclips fame has gone to his head haha
You are always entertaining to watch - both such likeable characters. Well done on all of that hard work and pleased for you that all went smoothly for a change!
Aww thank you Margaret that's lovely of you to say 🥰 I know!! It's pretty rare that things run that smoothly for Crobot! 😂
I too have a Titan. Mine lurks in the cupboard under the stairs.
Aren't they great! I hope he gets to come out from under the stairs sometimes!?
yes i would say those weld holes are there to keep new bottom panel from bellying ,as they can weld around the outside ,but cannot weld anywhere else ,
That what it would seem and makes complete sense 👍
Coal tar epoxy is used over here. They put it in the bilges of boats . That must be the same stuff. Great job.
Is that similar to bitumen by any chance?
So lovely to see things go so well this week. Also, nice to see you so confident this week…loved the tricks and flicks and the ‘carpentry’ 😂❤
Thanks for watching, were slowly getting there Ann ,take care
Liked too :)
thank you :)
🍓🍉🍧You both look happy, healthy and ready for summer shenanigans🍻Cheers🍺
fingers cross we get to take the boat out through the summer thanks Dana
I got a tad excited during the "Aqua steel shake"....and now I'm itching and confused...
Haha!!!! Brilliant!!! 😂😂😂
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
🥰🥰🥰
GOOD VID
Thank you 😊
My second time watching this video, this time with a glass of wine. But Chris, when are you getting a proper bed? 😂🤣😜
Thank you so much for all he support Shoan, the bed is need of some serious love...maybe we will just sleep in our lovely new bilges hehe
You are so cute and funny! Are you sure you’re not my child? 😂
By the way the floor grids are fabulous! You hit it lucky with them.
13:11 Creepy crawly fear moment.
😂😂😂
Thanks so watching Albert, see you next time 😊
Have you made a to-do list of repairs/refurbs for this summer?
hopefully hot running water and the batteries and were good to go, how long can it take?
if you could do DIY like the way you toss things you would have been chilling yourselves by now a carpet-er
Haha!! This is very true!!
Hahaha!!! Love a pun! Yeah maybe he's got a way to go just yet! Ahh it was a nice straight forward (for once) job which was lovely! Haha!!
Dudes! It was dry 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🥂🥂🍾
finally cheers Steve
It’s a can of worms 😂
Hahaha!! Always!
Oh Chris come on they are cygnets lol

Baby swans are called cygnets.
Thanks William of course
Rather you than me shipmates. The more i watch your excellent endevours the more i think about that @#%T that sold you a right off tarted up with a lick of paint! Re. Swanette = cygnet
we were just very unlucky, hopefully by the end of it she will be. a far nicer boat thanks Martin
Do you realise how often you say bad boys still enjoyable thou thank you
Ahh it's one of those things you don't realize you're doing it!! Thank you!
I have enjoyed your carpentry skills so much. I hate to see your video turn into a travel blog....you have to rehab another boat :/
its fine....these boat things tend to fall apart very quick....there will be plenty of DIY to see us through forever
😂 battery acid is water based 😂
😂😂😂
I know! What's that all about! People (and spiders) have come to expect a certain amount of calamity! Oh well this will be music to Chris's ears!!! 😂
cygnets
thats the one
I think you are getting carpenter and wooderer confuseded
thats the one cheers Jim
@@TheNomadicCrobot you are just getting better and better at this RUclips thing , keep on doing as you're going !! Chase them power bank suppliers up , get sponsered- free battery banks.
GOGGLES!!!! #AARRGGHH!!!!!!! .... The reason all New-Build houses are finished SO BADLY is because ALL tradesmen/women have to wear the NIGHTMARE that is #PPE - Health & Safety .... AARRGGHH!!!!!!! ...
Oh the goggles are so annoying! They mist up so quickly if you are wearing a mask also!! No matter how you try and arrange them!! I think the key is also just to use your nous and know when it really is a risk not to wear it and when it's not so dangerous....
Stop messing about in your bilges and get cruising ffs 😂
Hahah!!! Well it's our investment so wanna look after it properly too!! 😂
Nomadic crobot 🤔
Nomadic crackpot 😂🤣😂🤣
thats the one haha
Yeah you should be a carpenter,a Karen Carpenter only old people will know that 😂😂
Hahahah!!!! 😂
Well played sir .
Try chucking the kettle in the air
Hahaha!! Don't give him ideas!!! 😂
Elf and safety is over rated, when I worked down pit all we had was a canary
Haha!! Things were much simpler hey!
Your late🙄
Haha!! Sorry about that!!! It's the heat!!! 😂
Thanks!
Oh wow! Thank you so much Dave that's incredibly kind of you xxx
Juicy crispy bits 😂, I’d love doing that - soooo satisfying 😍
