LP fans look at Chester as an almost demigod. She did amazing and this is her first live concert with LP. Love Chester and love Emily as well. Please do the new song live version Heavy is the crown. ❤❤🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥❤️❤️
Chester passed away in 2017 and a few months after Linkin Park did a tribute concert. They had a bunch of artists come and perform all of Chester's parts. You should do a reaction to Numb from that concert.
Speaking of "Numb"........."Comfortably Numb" Pulse concert live '96 PINK FLOYD ❤️ (2nd greatest song of all time after "DREAMS" by The Cranberries. That's #1 and it will always be!) HI REN is #3. .......Pink Floyd in the 60's, The Cranberries in the 90's, REN in the 2020's? Guess musical geniuses only come every 30 years. 🤷🏻♂️❤
check out (not necessarily react) the songs from LA, NYC, Hamburg, and London - she's not imitating Chester, but she does do the songs justice - this was by far her worst performance. It may have been nerves, she was a little off key in some songs at this show, but the following shows, it's much, much better. Good reaction!
Yes, agreed. Understandably, the nerves on this first performance were sky high! She sounds so amazing in all of the newer performances, in my opinion.
Is not replacent CHESTER, but those songs are for the FANS for the FANS only, everytime they sing those songs they are honoring Chester, because the fans are singing along and the fans are happy to sing the old songs, Emily is doing a great job , recomending, Keys to the Kindomg, Brooklyn NY. concert. or London
3:29 Very good technique and a bit of natural grit. To do the growling kind of thing, it comes in from metal with false folds. It takes a bit of time to learn, but a great way to see how it actually happens is with "we put a camera down his throat" from the Charismatic Voice who invite Will Ramos to Utah to have a university medical center actually put a laryngoscope down his throat while he sings harsh vocals.
As you can see from Emily, the style is something you can learn. Chester was not unique. Simply put, it is a mixture of baby crying and throat clearing. With a lot of practice and technique, the sound comes out. The technique is also common in metalcore, and there are "Chesters" by the dozen: Architects - "Animals"
LP is not Chester, band is actualt not even founded with him originally, most to all arrangements and writings is done by Mike and Joe so old songs are properties of LP, not Chester. Having said that, they would be wrong not playing old songs live too. Just look at the crowd on live shows after your reaction. For most fans, Emily sounds better in old songs. Not in terms to compare to him, but simply fans prefer her energy and voice in old songs. For me, I was also not comfortable listening to Emily in Chester parts but after one or two listens, I now feel strange listening to Chester cause Emily sound better to my ear.
This is just not true. Fans DO NOT prefer Emily in the old songs. I myself don't like her voice so i can't be completely neutral but even the ones that do like and support her are in agreement to that. Chester can't be replaced. The fans reactions at the shows are like that because they get to enjoy their favourite band after they thought they never might again. Have you ever seen LP with Chester live? I did. His energy, emotion and passion when he sang was incredible.
@@dine4086 So you know people hearts that you say so? I've seen countless comments of fans preferring Emily's voice over Chester, me included. I did not say all fans, of course there are those who like Chester more. But this is LP we are talking about, I mean you guys are stuck in Chester's 20-30s when he sand crazy, but already in 2017 he sounded weakened. Imagine what would he sound today in 2024. Emily kicks ass even on his songs today in 2024 and all LP fans should at least appreciate that. She also brings her own emotion in songs, ok she is not desperate and in pain like Chester, but is that something anyone should like? I never had LP as my top band just because I did not like that Chester's energy. Emily brings light and life to the band. And I always loved LP sound and music, that would mostly be Mike's credit. Respect and RIP to Chester but guys, wake up, he selfdeleted he's not coming back, either you are LP fan and enjoy their comeback, look at their smiles on stage. Or you just pass on cause CB left you
@@smeagol80 just like you did. You stated "most fans". Based on a few comments. I did the same. I have loved the band for over 20 years. It is and will always be the one group that means the most to me. Something you cannot understand because you are in a different position. You didn't connect with the band the same way many of us did while Chester was there.
@@dine4086 you’re right I should have said most comments, not most fans. Cause for comments always 95% are loving Emily. As for overall fans, neither you and I can not say cause we do not know. All we know is their singles are kicking ass, trending #1 in most countries. People like it. I agree and I understand some people need more time cause they bonded to LP with Chester. All I al sayin for such people, understand Chester decised to go, he will never come back, no one will replace him ever, but if you like LP this is what you get. You cant say it’s not awesome and unique on its own way cause Emily seem to gave rebirth to our Lp boys, look at them shine and smile. And look at them in 2017. I wish you all good time
She doesn’t stand next to Chester for one reason. He experienced his songs and her vocals, for me, are not at that level. If they called the group a new name and released new tracks, I would even listen. But why kick a dead man?
They're not his songs, they're the whole band's songs, and they're mostly written by Mike. And Emily has been through childhood trauma just like Chester had. Changing their name just to leave Chester out of it, *that* would be an insult to Chester. Linkin Park is part of his legacy, he would've wanted it to continue. See his interviews from when he joined Stone Temple Pilots, he didn't want them to change their name and paint over their previous history. With or without Chester, they're still the same band. Chester himself said it's mainly Mike's and Brad's band, they're the ones writing the songs and he would mostly just sing what they asked him to. Now Emily does it. I miss Chester, but it's 100% still Linkin Park.
I remember being at keg parties listening to this! So weird watching you guys listen to it! (Even if it isn't the original) !! RIP Chester 🙏 ❤

Loving the new chapter of linken park
Thank you 🙏🏻
They've only talked about doing a hologram in the sense that they were asked about it and said they didn't want to do it.
Need that new linkin park heavy is the crown reaction!!
New? I didn’t know there was more music out?

You need to watch Chester’s last performance of “Crawling” live, it’s unbelievable

I dont think they can not do these songs. I dont envy Emily's position, but she does fit the style of the band.
New LP is generally really good
