This song is about Chester’s substance issues & etc as he says on the meaning of "Crawling" by stating it was inspired by his own battles with substance abuse. "Crawling is about feeling like I had no control over myself in terms of drugs and alcohol, hence the line "These wounds they will not heal...".

It's a unique song, as it's a reimagining of one of their early hit songs 'The Drug In Me Is You'. The early song was very upbeat and punk sounding, whereas the newer version is very somber and slower, but equally as intense. It's a very popular video, and has been in the reaction circle heavily, so I think it'd be a great watch!
If would like to recommend some modern hard rock, an all girl band of three Mexican sisters called The Warning. I recommend a live video of two of their songs, Dust to Dust/Dull Knives live at the Pepsi Centre CDMX. They are amazing live. For background, they are aged 20 to 24 and have been a band for 11 years. Most of their songs are in English. Pau, the drummer won Drumeo rock drummer of the year 2023, Ale, the bassist, is a signature artist for Spectre, and Danny, lead guitar, is an ambassador for PRS. They are old school hard rockers.
