The whole concert at Milton Keynes is amazing!!! Perfect isn't always right on pitch, or perfectly steady... sometimes it's just the beauty in the imperfection. You do have to remember Chester had probably sung 4-5 songs while running the stage. Just wait to til you hear Given Up, live and then when he sang Rolling In The Deep (with precision 2011 iTunes Festival) after a whole lot of some of the screamy songs. and I saw another comment down that Live In Texas, any song but yes Definitely *A Place For My Head* ... The One More Light Live Concert might floor you! There's some beauty in Chesters vocals.
If you thought Chester'e fry was anything in this performance for "Breaking The Habit" then you must catch his 17 seconds long, with several note changes ,fry in Linkin Park's song "Given Up". I believe there are only 2 occasions where he held the fry that long and both were this song. The performance from live at AOL music sessions and the other was from the 02/22/2008 performance in live at AOL music sessions. Enjoy!!!
Another one that breaks me along with Chester is Chris Cornell and Kurt Cobain. So much fricking talent that has been destroyed by our unwillingness to admit that mental health should be talked about more and confronted. Not blaming anyone, just wishing i had some answers to help those that are in that darkness
Ren reminds me of them (not sound wise). Bringing real lyrics from real life and real emotion and bringing it out of us. Its not always a fun time to listen to, but its always relatable and honest. Rip Chester. Wish someone had been there to help you through the darkness
Ive struggled with my MH from a young age and used to listen to LP religiously. Me and my Wife were going to see them live in Birmingham UK and we decided to leave it as we were low on funds. That was his last gig. Absolutely gutted to have never seen them, his vocals saved me so many time.
Its crazy to hear songs and how their impact changes after you consider the future events that came later. It sounds like he really tried and at some point thought he was free but for some reason it came back to the surface. One of the best covers ever is Chester and Mike covering "Rolling in the Deep" by Adele. They did it Live in London and it is 🔥🔥🔥
Chester never went for perfection. Chester was about getting the emotion of the songs to the fans. He gave a voice to emotions people were/are feeling. Chester had a hard time recording this song in 2002. He had to stop because he would start crying. He also cried the first time they performed this song. Mike wrote the original lyrics but it got changed a little bit while in the studio recording the song. This song was what started Chester on the path to get sober from drugs and alcohol. You need to watch some of Chester's performances with the band Grey Daze which he was in before Linkin Park. Chester also had his own band separate from Linkin Park called Dead By Sunrise. Dead By Sunrise made 1 album called Out of Ashes in 2009. The album just shows a different side to Chester that wasn't used in Linkin Park. Chester was very open about his struggles in life with depression and addiction. Chester had problems with alcohol addiction for the rest of his life but he was able to get away from the drugs. Grey Daze made an album called Amends in tribute to Chester with his original recordings from the mid 90's. Chester wrote songs about what he knew and about what he went through. Head and Munky played guitar on the song B12. Chester was actually getting ready to play a reunion concert with Grey Daze in Phoenix Arizona for the Club Tattoo anniversary party. Grey Daze is still around and they do concerts with Chester's other band Dead By Sunrise in tribute to Chester every year. Chester also did Camp Freddie and Kings of Chaos. Those 2 "bands" are celebrity bands that cover 80's and 90's rock songs. Chester had the ability to sing any song he wanted to. Chester did Kings of Chaos with Corey Taylor from Slipknot. Chester also recorded the song System for the Queen of the Damned soundtrack for the Queen of the Damned movie. Jonathan Davis (lead singer of Korn) co-wrote the songs for the movie Queen of the Damned. His record label refused to let him record the songs for the soundtrack so he brought in some of his friends to record the songs for him. Chester also got Jonathan Davis in trouble with his record label because it sounded like Jonathan was doing backing vocals for the song System when it was just Chester's vocals layered on top of each other. Chester had the ability to mimic other singers like Jonathan Davis and Billy Idol.
I feel the most strange thing ever. I was a fun of many bands when I didn't know how to speak English. Then later when I did learn English there are bands now where I go "oh wow that's what they're singing about ", "that's cool" or "why was i listening to this?" 😅 but Linkin Park, now that I speak English, it has become a more profound meaning band to me, i became a fan again, I don't know how to explain it, it went from "I'm rocling to this" to "Man! Chester bro i get you, why arent you here? How couldn'twe stop you from leaving?". I had to make my own remix of their song LOST. Check it out
Chester always poured everything into every performance and left it all out there on stage. My favorite live performance of Breaking the Habit is probably Live Earth Tokyo 2007. Also his final performance Live at Birmingham is so heartbreaking.
I had the pleasure of seeing these guys twice. Both times they were the opener and not who I was there to see. First with Stone Temple Pilots in 01, and then they opened for Metallica in 04. They were SO amazing and definitely made me fall more in love with their music. Chester was a beautiful soul, and he is missed.
It kills me that I never saw them. A band that’s literally kept me alive throughout all stages of my being. A band I’ve literally listened to for my entire existence and it felt like I grew with them almost like having a sibling in a weird way. When Chester died, it was a huge loss and possibly the only celebrity I’m actually genuinely felt sad about losing , when they released their loss tracks it came at a time when I needed it most. It’s good to see them come back even without Chester though.
Breaking the Habit resonated on a deep level with Chester, so much so that, there is a story that Chester burst in to tears the first time he tried to sing it, and Chester refused to perform it live for awhile for that reason.
I remember my co-worker coming into my office to tell me the news. I was crushed. Linkin Park is a band I’ve followed from day one. Chester touched so many souls I just wish we could have saved his tortured one. RIP Chester
One thing that i'd like to maybe suggest for the LP songs where you react to the live ones, either have the studio version before or after the live version. You can FEEL the difference between the emotion in the live vs the studio version...even so, the emotion is STILL there in the studio version. Chester was always amazing about getting the emotion through his songs. He connected with so many people's emotions. I've been listening for a long time, and Chester is one of the best there's ever been in my opinion. He's gone too soon, and he's deeply missed. All the respect for Chester, R.I.P. man, this and so many other LP songs got me through a lot of darkness when i was younger, just knowing that I wasn't the only one going through hell... Not sure if you've listened to the song "Papercut", but if you haven't...I'd strongly suggest it.
You were spot on regarding the connection with the crowd. I've been to many, many shows over the years, and LP is without a doubt the best at connecting with the crowd. I saw them every time they came to my area, except the first time when I didn't know them. My daughter and I were devastated at his death----and celebrity deaths don't usually get me beyond a momentary sadness. But his certainly did. It took a long time for me to even listen to their music again without tears.
Please react to Linkin Park - Points of authority live (Milton Keynes 29-06-2008), it's the same concert as this video but with a little bit Fort Minor (Mike Shinoda's side project) sprinkled in.
Also LP dont really sing about getting with anyone cuz they all married/taken. Not sayin they cant cuz ofc they can they are artists. lol fun fact. I love this band so damn much!
I've been to several concerts but none as fantastic as Linkin Park. I saw them when I was 17, and at 34 they are still the best show I've been to. They always left their heart on the stage and connected with fans in a way I've never seen anyone else do. You should definitely check out Live in Texas!
You need to react to Linkin Park songs; “Papercuts”, “The Emptiness Machine”, “Heavy Is The Crown” & “Two Faced” Also, Linkin Park is going on tour this year
Fun fact: they made a dis track, "step up", they got a dis track back. See if you can figure it out, it took me a minute back in the day, but I got it.
Saw them in 2002 and had tickets to see them on their first stop of the world tour they were about to start when Chester passed a couple of days before the concert. They are still the best concert I’ve ever seen!!! It was Adema, Cypress Hill and LP!!
If you want some raw original stuff you need to try Xero, the group before Linkin Park. I think it’s like 4 songs and most were rewritten into hits later.
Chester live is pretty incredible. So often you expect a singers voice to be dramatically different (worse) live but in his case it seems as though the album recordings were holding his voice back with the mix and live it was let out to it's fullest potential.
Once you get far enough in, I recommend considering doing a whole album listen through...the songs are all great by themselves, but how they are arranged on the album is another level. Hybrid Theory, Meteora, Minutes to Midnight are all awesome, and them my personal favorite is A Thousand Suns.
Rest in Peace Chester you are so missed we love you buddy, ❤🩹🤍🤘 If you want to hear Chester singing in the crowd with only Mike on Piano check out Crawling One more light live it was not long before he passed you will see how much everyone loved him and how much he loved the fans. Another fantastic live performance is LIVE in Texas In The End or A Place for My Head or Pushing Me Away that whole concert is wild and Mike raps in most of those songs too. A back story on this song is Mike wrote it for Chester because he was in the depths of his drug addiction and they were trying to get him to rehab and Chester read the lyrics and cried and when they went to record it Chester could only get out a line or 2 and have to stop because he would break down crying every few lines, Chester said throughout the years this song always was tough to sing.
I’d be lying if I said that this didn’t make me emotional…. I feel Chester’s pain, this life isnt easy…and I’ve been struggling myself lately. Please remember to always be nice to people, you never know what someone might be going through….. ✌🏼

YOU must react to A Place for My Head Live in Texas & Qwerty Live in tokyo & u might start to realize what linkin park is about!! Please get on these two ASAP!!!! 🔥
Yo BP if you ever gonna do old LP live then do live from Texas. Maybe their best recorded show. I can recommend "A place for my head " this reaction took my back to my childhood and all the memories and i saw LP live in 2004 it was my first concert ever. Never forgets. rip Chester.
you miss a great concert. i saw them 2 times. they are one of the best concert that i have ever been to, TOP 10. they are maybe top 5 or even top 3 that i have been to.
Although i absolutely love Emily Armstrong her voice and the way it suits the music for Linkin Park, Chester will always be remembered and i miss his voice .
I don't know how anyone who knows Linkin Park and Chester's story can make it through this video without crying.
Facts.
Shit’s sad as fuck
A place for my head live in Texas is a must watch man
That entire live in Texas concert is a must watch.
@@thehonestwoodcutterbradywe8011 Beat me to it.
Absolutely the best performance in my opinion. Another great one is QWERTY live in Tokyo
That's my favorite LP concert. That whole concert goes so hard
Absolutely
That bow at the end made me tear up. RIP Chester and love to his kids.
Chester does a damn fine cover of Rolling In The Deep
I jut read this as the OG song was playing in the background on the radio.
Absolutely beautiful too !!🔥
Chester, you are missed and wish you never left us. Miss you and your voice! RIP. ❤
I feel the same thing every time i hear Chester sing. He really could make you feel what he was singing. I love LP.
Like I always say chester in my opinion one of the greatest male voclists of all time. R.I.P. Chester.
Him and his best friend were both a couple of the top voices I have ever heard ❤
The whole concert at Milton Keynes is amazing!!! Perfect isn't always right on pitch, or perfectly steady... sometimes it's just the beauty in the imperfection. Linkin Park was hands down the BEST concert I ever went to. I cried when Chester died. He was one of the best writers/singers ever!
To me it's a cover band without Chester. He put so much of himself into the lyrics. R.I.P. Chester.
those exposed vocals at the end were unbelievable...like really
If you thought Chester'e fry was anything in this performance for "Breaking The Habit" then you must catch his 17 seconds long, with several note changes ,fry in Linkin Park's song "Given Up". One of my favorites of his live is when they are in London (I think) and he covers Rolling in the Deep. It is something to hear for sure.

If you haven't already YOU HAVE TO CHECK OUT "GIVEN UP" AKA THE 14 SEC. SCREAM YOU HAVE NO CHOICE!!!!! LOL
17 seconds lol
@jenBuruato lol even better
R.I.P Chester Bennington

He giving a voice to the voiceless who have dealt with childhood trauma.

Watch the original Crawling, then watch Crawling [Official One More Light Live], It is unbelievable how different they hit.
RIP CHESTER MISS YOU SO MUCH GONE WAY TOO SOON😢

Live in Texas is one of the best Linkin Park recordings.
Daw them in the early days, 02. Excellent. One of my very favorite bands. I'm 62 years old.❤
They also did a cover of rolling in the deep by Adele definitely gotta check that out
a great cover video that LP did was Chester singing Adelle's Rolling in the Deep live I think in London
You should check out the live version of “The Little Things Give You Away”. Amazing what Chester could do live
Chester always poured everything into every performance and left it all out there on stage. My favorite live performance of Breaking the Habit is probably Live Earth Tokyo 2007. Also his final performance Live at Birmingham is so heartbreaking.

Given up live in clarkson is also a must.. chester was so talented R.I.P
RIP legend Chester :( :(

Same here 😢
Same here. They helped me through so much
Chester the nicest man I ever met
Breaking the Habit resonated on a deep level with Chester, so much so that, there is a story that Chester burst in to tears the first time he tried to sing it, and Chester refused to perform it live for awhile for that reason.
I to regret not getting to see Linkin Park before Chester passed. 😢
@blackpegasusraps You gotta do Bleed It Out by Linkin Park. They close most shows with it. The most upbeat LP song.
yes this please.
Yes!!! This is one of my favorites.
Reaction Linkin Park / Two Faced Live Brazil! Please! ❤️🇧🇷👊🏼🔥
Given Up is a must
I was there in 2008 with my husband. The whole Projekt Revolution line up was fantastic.
Same, it was the best gig I ever went to. Beautiful day, powerful music
It's truly special the amount of emotion that man put into music. I was lucky enough to see them live 4 times. Cherished memories!
I remember my co-worker coming into my office to tell me the news. I was crushed. Linkin Park is a band I’ve followed from day one. Chester touched so many souls I just wish we could have saved his tortured one. RIP Chester

I strongly believe castle of glass is a must watch it's meaning and the video are beautiful RIP CHESTER MISSED BUT NEVER FORGOTTEN
Listening to these guys got me through some hard times ♡ that ending gave me chills.
Chester is amazing
OMG.. thank you so much.. we miss Chester so much and really respect reactions to how wonderful he was.. xo
Please react to Linkin Park - Points of authority live (Milton Keynes 29-06-2008), it's the same concert as this video but with a little bit Fort Minor (Mike Shinoda's side project) sprinkled in.
Powerless
The Little Things Give You Away
Waiting For The End
These are just 3 of my favorites by them where Chester is singing
Also LP dont really sing about getting with anyone cuz they all married/taken. Not sayin they cant cuz ofc they can they are artists. lol fun fact. I love this band so damn much!

Points of authority is one of my favourites, would be great to see your reaction and views 🙌🏻 Chester is amazing and can never be replaced.
The messenger is a great underrated song of LP. I think u will love it.
Chester and Oli Sykes from Bring Me The Horizon get together in a live set that you neeeeeeeed to absolutely watch!!
Saw them in 2012. One of the best shows I've ever seen. Top three for sure!
When I was an LP Underground member, I could get a copy of the concert. At first it was a USB, then downloads. Excellent quality
I’d be lying if I said that this didn’t make me emotional…. I feel Chester’s pain, this life isnt easy…and I’ve been struggling myself lately. Please remember to always be nice to people, you never know what someone might be going through….. ✌🏼
FOREVER MISSED ✝️ CHESTER
Breaking the Habit just rips into my soul, because I have been there, done that.

Best band I ever heard live. They sounded exactly like their CD's.
First off, great reaction. These guys are very authentic. I personally got a lot out of their music growing up.
On the reference of covers, I Prevail got a huge boost when they released a really bad ass cover of Taylor Swift's Blank Space. You should check it out.
You'd love their acoustic performances.
Crawling and Rolling in the Deep (Adele cover) are two massive standouts.
I saw them 4X and they were amazing every time!! Love your reactions!! ❤🤘🏼
Saw LP on a tour with Metallica, Limp Bizkit and Mudvayne. Amazing.
I’ve been to seven of their shows during their peak popularity. You never felt more connected with the band, the people around you buzzing and all feeling the same. It was insane. I’ve been a concert goer for about 10 years and there has never been a show more exciting. (Eminem was good
Tho)
You need to see the live when they’re amped up. The energy is insane! Place for my head, given up, one step closer all amazing energy and quality
Chester was one of a kind icon of the music industry much love
The new lead singer is making chester proud rn
I got to the linkin park party way too late myself.I'm just glad the music is here and now I have them on my top ten favorite bands list
Two of my favorites are From the Inside and Faint. Cheers!
YOU must react to A Place for My Head Live in Texas & Qwerty Live in tokyo & u might start to realize what linkin park is about!! Please get on these two ASAP!!!! 🔥
Chester is LEGEND........RIP Chester
Favorite rock band of all time. Strange music and Linkin Park are what I grew up on and still listen to this day too everyday of my life
I will forever regret not seeing them live when Chester was alive.
straight up .R.I.P. Chester and thank you. and yes i have seen them live in Sydney during the thousand suns tour in 2011
Saw them live in Connecticut about 2 years before Chester passed. Still a show I think back on as one of the greatest shows I've ever been too.
Of course Chester is unreplacable, but I really like their new Song "The emptiness machine". The girl's voice is fire
I’d like you to listen to the tribute concert LP did after Chester’s passing. So emotional but beautiful.
You need to check out a cover .
Rolling in the deep, Adele
Live performance, amazing
Although i absolutely love Emily Armstrong her voice and the way it suits the music for Linkin Park, Chester will always be remembered and i miss his voice .
RIP Chester, glad I saw them live opening for Metallica at the Rosebowl
The live version of Given Up is both amazing and heartbreaking
Keynes is pronounced Keens.😉
