He was the one who sang and screamed everything I've never been able to say myself No matter how many years go by, I'll always feel the emptiness that his death left in my heart But I will be eternally grateful to Chester and Linkin Park for being there for me
Anything from their Live In Texas concert is top tier. ‘A Place For My Head’ is a personal favourite for Chester’s performance, but any song from that is brilliant.
“GODDDDDDDDD!!!! PUT ME OUT OF MY MISERYYYYY!!!!! PUT ME OUT OF MY MISERRYYYYYY!!!!!! PUT ME OUT OF MY, PUT ME OUT OF MY FUCKINGGGG MISERRRYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY x 1000”
I’m 38 now, this band gave me moments of relief from my addiction at the time and my thoughts, I listen back now I struggle with the fact that I’m 38 with a family and this band helped me, I got realise form another man’s pain in his lyrics, it sits funny with me. Don’t know if any one else gets that? Also he never seemed to find what he gave
I'm too embarrassed to tell you how much older I am than you, but am here to let you know you're not alone. I doubt anyone would agree with me, because of the blasphemic undertones, but Chester died for our sins. He's my home town boy, but I never met him. I was older than him and our paths never crossed. I'm still here, but I know him. I definitely know him.
I had actually forgotten about this song. In this song he screams for 17 seconds. In the latest LP release "Heavy is the Crown" Emily goes for 16 seconds. To do either is incredible and yet people managed to put crap on her. Mike Shinoda is one of the founders of LP (Chester came later). He has a huge role in all of the LP music past and current with writing, lyrics and composition. He can rap and sing very well.
Every night 5:01 pm i get in the car to drive home from work turn this on the chorus starts.., the beer went down. Love linkin park the music helped me quit
You should’ve react to the music video of this song, he only did the long scream 2 times live (understandable) but you should react to the original or find the live where he held it.
@@blipblipblip4892 You absolutely should! In those versions he holds it for 17 seconds in one breath. In this version it wasn't quite 17 seconds as his voice was tired
Have you guys ever listened to one ok rock before? They’re a Japanese rock band that sings in English and Japanese. If you’re open I’d recommend renegades live from the luxury disease tour. Their live stuff is incredible
@@DoubleTakeJC here’s some fun facts for a bit more of an intro. They were friends with linkin park and planned to tour together but never got to. After Chester’s passing linkin park invited the lead singer of one ok rock to sing in Chester’s place at a concert (which is also on yt) additionally the above song I requested was co written by Ed Sheeran. Hope you guys enjoy!
Chester had such an emotional authenticity in his voice. When you relate to the song, it almost feels like someone is with you ❤ There is so many great songs. Right now, I feel like recommending "The Messenger". Although the live performances are beautiful, I would recommend the album version for this one. They recorded vocals that are walking a fine line between rawness and beauty, and it's just stunning. Live versions generally stay on the cleaner, safer side of that line. It's a beautiful song that Chester wrote to his children, asking them to remember that they are loved ❤
Hi guys i love your channel :D can you guys react to LP Breaking the habit 2011 Itunes festival? or Faint 2007 rock am ring? this 2 live performance show how beast chester was :D
Hi. You should react to Linkin Park - Faint with Emily from the livestream youtube on sept 5th. That song was later in the show thus less nerves for her and oh my goodness she's so good in that song. The rasp and screaming (wait for it) is insane! 😁 And she gets naturally even better in later concerts since then since she's alot more comfortable and no nerves like the first show. I love him in that concert. I've always loved Chester and his voice but that one has to be the best performance of..A Place For My Head.
Personally I think kroq 2003 is the best a place for my head performance
Wished we could've seen how he was talking to us so much with so many emotions. LP helps me the most on my bad days.
So sad we lost him. RIP Chester Bennington, thankyou for amazing songs and experience 🔥 🔥 🔥
The live in Texas version of A Place for my Head and the live version of QWERTY are my favorite

The best live version is at a thousand horizons 2011
Nice reaction, but you should look into your recording setup since the audio from the song is sounding like a 30kbit/sec version....
It's taken straight from the video, highest quality possible so not sure what's happened there
