Wow, I really like the look of that razor. I am going to have to get a soap scooper like that in orange. your lather is on point today and looks like a desert topping. Great video as always.
It was so darn good!! Stirling really is a top performer especially at the price. I find their slickness is absolutely up there with the best. Projection of scent, and skin food aren't as top tier, but the shave I get with this 5 year old soap is great! Orange sounds bang on!! Thanks again for joining me my friend!
@@SubieShaves I always regard these videos as an entertaining and informative hedge against a sudden and unexpected loss of hair .....you can never be too unprepared !!!
What the what!?! Awesome Josh! I am kind of blown away with Yaqi finding very obscure razors that I've never seen before and making modern versions of them. I do really like this one and I would probably do a resin wrap on the handle and try to emulate the one original style handle, that's like the old Gillette bakelite handle. Very cool and I'm a big fan of a good open comb. I wish they'd do this with the Krect Spiral Slant and the Barbasol Floating Head, two razors I'm always looking for and both hard to get in a good condition. Great brush too and I might have to see if I can one of their knots for a brush project. How soon are you moving? It feels like it must be getting really close. Take care buddy!
Well I did it, I asked the Boss if they would ever consider a FH redo!! I agree it is one of my favorites and they are utterly unaccessible. Good ones go for tons, bad ones have zmak rot - we need them for future posterity's sake! If anyone can do it, it's YAQI!
Hello mate I absolutely love the lather you make but I hate using a bowl i face lather, just wondering could you make a video of doing a face lather trying to create a similar lather
Huge thanks for the kind words! I've dome and face lathered a bunch of camera and too lazy to get a scuttle/bowl, but I just find it easier to follow on channel with a bowl. Otherwise all you guys will see is my lather going from pasty to shiny on my skin - it just doesn't read well if that makes sense. With face lathering I find hydration to be critical as the soap on the face/dome tends to like to spread out and not stay uniform consistent (at least my experience). You need to really make sure all of it gets the same parts water and doesn't dry out or over mix 👍 Honestly some of my best lathers have been face lathering so done right - it's absolutely fantastic! Thank you again for the comment!
@@SubieShaves oh that's such a shame would really love to see you dedicate a video just on face lathering as I think so many people out there are like me and face lather and you have so much experience doing it so would be so helpful to see, hopefully 1 day
Makes me wonder if the handle would fit any Gem heads hahaha awesome little vintage - but - modern razor. Thanks Mike for watching and sharing the shave Buddy!
Hi Subie, very interesting design, the constuction of the razor should allow lower production costs. A round handle cross-section would be even more cist effective. Let's see what Yaqi's price will be for this razor - more than 20-25 dollars and I'm out. Yaqi allowed themselves quite a high profit lately.
Threads on the handle rather than the top cap is very intriguing, as it follows the traditional design. I like this one quite a bit, the blade feels very secure and rigid. No idea on pricing - but since it's polished SS and pretty niche, I would imagine the price will be more like 75-80$ - similar to the Duomo.
@@SubieShaves Yintal can offer their LiveBen labeled 316L stainless steel cnc machined and polished safety razor for around 30 bucks and that is fair for a chinese production. Yaqi's prices became to high lately.
@@SubieShaves Well, any of them lol. Been using Palmolive recently. When I get it right it is great, otherwise it's like I introduce too much water or air into it and get a crappy shave. I realize the creams work a bit differently from the soaps.

That lather is legit💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
The soap is 5 years old and still making some slick stuff! Stirling makes some phenomenal stuff IMHO! 👍👌
The razor looks very stylish indeed. Excellent review as ever !! Great stuff :)

Hello, my friend, is that razor available yet? I looked on AliExpress and I couldn't find it anywhere
Hasn't been listed yet! I got it just before they had time to put it on there 👍
Do you put a shim blade or you put two actual blades on top of each other
2 actual blades together, stacked 👍
@@SubieShaves how does that improve the shaving, and is it safe to do?

Last lather question and I'll leave you alone about it LOL. Are you able to make these awesome lathers with shave cream?
I always welcome your lather questions! The quest for shiny, goopy, slick, rich, hydrated lather is one I share with you!
Which shave creme?! 🧐
