Dude you're the man!!! Thank you so much for taking the time to make this video. You have no idea how long I searched for a video where someone actually went into this exact model IS (cuz all I could find were the new 250/350 videos.) I was always wondering about how to switch the colors on the navigation unit and I had actually soldered my window switches and the open close/tilt buttons but seeing what you said about the nav and how it is basically trash ill prolly skip that and just install an aftermarket one and sell the stock one. But still doing this and also showing how you added lights to cup holder etc really made me feel good about not being the only person to have done so but seeing your technique made me go back and fix a few things. Def gotta new subscriber!!
Don't have a lexus 300 , but some of this I can apply to the is250 and the gs350 f sport. I appreciate your time and well explained techniques. Stay safe paz y salud
Yea you have to do the same to the switches and the cigarette light/ashtray on the 2IS if you want to convert to white. Luckily on newer cars, they don’t have that paint, it’s green bulb covers.
@@TunerwithKids thanks a lot... I drive a IS200 and i have a Kouki digital cluster and want to test it at home, that's why ask of the voltage for the (bulbs, led's) Illumination
Hi all! Is there a way to make the led light illumination in the climate control even? (Or even as possible)? In some areas of the climate control, it is brighter while some are not so brightly illuminated..
I think it has to be a custom setup on the board to get it illuminated fully. I noticed it now after driving for a while that the bulbs don't distribute well and the dials are dim.
@@TunerwithKids I checked both videos and both videos, yours do not light up either. At least it doesn't look like it. Unless it's super dim barely noticeable.
Hey man any idea why when i turn on my headlights and fog lights the clock on the climate control goes out and when the lights are off/ in the first option the clock illuminates. I am having no trouble with the rest of my climate control. I believe the volts are just too high to light up the whole dash at once. But let me know what you think. Thanks.
Nice video! I swapped my cluster/clock/ac lights, and one side of my my clock is dimmer than the other along w the ac lights, could it be the connection? I remember it was a tight fit putting the leds in those holes
Hi ... I noticed you used a 74 LED for the shifter bulb, but on the other side where you have the SNOW and PWR button what bulbs are in there, are these Neo bulbs? Mine at the moment don't light up, didn't know if they were supposed to or not. Any help appreciated... Thanks Clive
Great job man! I have a question about the climate control leds, mine die after couple of weeks, first they start blinking and they die out. My electrician told me its because they are leds which is weird to me since everybody did it and I dont see no complains? Cheers!
Man….. the 3x big LEDs are different from your RUclips video and your Amazon link… one doesn’t fit (the bulb above the socket) EDIT:// Amazon seller (the same link in description) have sent me different bulbs.
@@TunerwithKids Hi Binh, I am sorry for accusing you for something not your fault, I ordered the same thing you have linked, but the dumbass seller sent me a pack of 18 bulbs with 9smd each side, 36 SMD in total per bulb (crazy)... I contacted Amazon after realizing what the fuck just happened and got a full refund as I ordered from USA to NL. My apologizes.
I recently bought a 2003 is300 and I’m so glad I found your channel. You’re such an inspiration, thank you ❤
The LED lights in the cup holder & 12v panel were clean. So tempted to do it.
Soldering and heat shrinking everything like a true pro! Clean install thanks for the vid

I’m keeping the motorized NAV flip but will be swapping a Android unit in a few months.

Wow! You’re a mad scientist 👍🏽 if I knew how and have the patients I would totally do this. Great video uncle
You do an excellent job my guy!!
Awesome Video!! Thank you
Do u use 12v to Illuminate the cluster at home?
Yea. I have an old computer power supply with custom terminals for 12V and 5V.

🔥🔥🔥What bulb did you use for the glovebox
Wow this is amazing content. Thank you so much for sharing and also providing with the correct amazon links for the bulbs. Much appreciated 🙏🏽🙏🏽
awesome job bro , I did mine today but i did it in blue big change thanks man
At min 12:35 you said you ordered the armrest covers your missing. Can I get a link? Im missing the passenger side :(

The plastic plugs? I found a set used for $15. They are like $25/each at dealer.
Great video thanks 🙏

what’re the bulb sizes for the lock cylinder? i’ve been trying to look for them, looks super sick!
I think I custom those. They are a tiny wedge.
Any idea on how to change the bulb on the DEFROST/AIR RECIRCULATION/AC?
Did I not show in this video? It may be in my other LED swap video for radio and center controls.
@@TunerwithKids I checked both videos and both videos, yours do not light up either. At least it doesn't look like it. Unless it's super dim barely noticeable.
It’s probably very dim. Some of the climate stuff using bulbs that don’t disperse well.
For the climate control leds which ones will I need I see on the description you but 2 different sizes
It uses both. I think three are the big ones and the hazard light and seat belt are smaller. Or vise versa, don’t remember.
First off, LOVE those wheels.
Second, you wanna come do all my leds for me???? LOL
Wishful thinking 😂. I don’t even like doing it for my own cars. Very tedious work.
@@TunerwithKids HAHHAAH Touché well ya did an awesome job, I just wanted the gauge cluster then I saw all this.... EBAY HERE I COME!!!

No idea. Maybe a bad ground or loose connection.

It might be a defective bulb.

They are smaller neo but I had to pull them apart and use the stock mount to fit right.
Where did you get the neo bulbs for these?

Cheap LED?
I'd love to change the cigarette ring bulb but not got a clue how I'd go about it, whether I'd need to solder a 74 bulb in etc. Any advice?
That one is tricky. It’s not standard.
@@TunerwithKids I'm thinking I might just grab a coloured silicon cap and try replacing the standard orange one
