Man just wanna say, I saw your name in the gnome nominations. Came to check out your channel yesterday and now I've binged your whole rs3 playlist. It's criminal you don't have a bigger audience yet! Very talented, amazing videos! Keep up the great work :D
You'll get there. I died dozens of times learning Raksha it's one of those things that feels very overwhelming at first, but after your first kill it clicks and becomes second nature. The biggest help in the fight is absolutely DPS, the more DPS the easier it is to skip mechanics which can be a life saver in P3. Taking any form of adrenalin pot is super useful also for some quick DPS dumps. Since you're ranging make sure to dump into Dbow spec with ruby baks. Onyx baks also help a ton in learning.
If you have the herblore level, you could try clearing the pools with an acceleration potions. It makes blades dive have no cooldown for 6 seconds which might just be enough time. Either way, good luck and love the content. Golden gnome should have gone to you
I bring a Vitality pot for the rock fall. After the rocks he usually hits me particularly hard on his first attack that combos with the last rock. Can also get some free damage with Reprisal if you have it. Lastly you can Escape a Tail Swipe and Anticipate the Shadow Bomb.
So I know people use laceration boots for Raksha, which is probably the superior way but I always found it a problem that the pools were being dealt with at the beginning of phase 3 with Raksha then siphons. I used chinchinompas for a long time until I switch to mage. But my strategy was to clear the pools little bit little during each of the phasing. So from phase one to phase two clear out some pools then phase 2 to phase 3 clear out more. Yes probably slower and inefficient, but considering Raksha will only passively siphon from pools at phase 3 it’s pretty much a game of Russian roulette if you can clear out enough pools at phase three before siphon. For me clearing the pools during the phasing made it that there was no pools or very little pools to siphon from. So if two pools are left when getting into siphon Raksha will get maybe 2-5 percent energy but a minimal difference compared to getting 20-25 percent at phase three. Again just how I did it but I hope the grind for lacerations goes smoothly.
I thought Raksha resummoned the pools near the start of phase 3 so clearing them beforehand didn't do anything. I'll have to give that a whirl. Maybe throw a corruption shot at them here and there.
@@JustBackgroundNoise yes Raksha does summon the pools. He summons some from phase 1 to 2 and phase 2-3 and pools spawn every time he does his tail swipe/ charge attack. So the problem is that with the laceration method is that the pools are stacking every time and just pile on up. So yes you can laceration and bladed dive all of the pools at phase three, but depending on how far raksha has gotten into it’s rotation you pretty much have full sets of pools in all four spots that is a 9x9 set of shadow anima pools possibly more because I’ve heard pools can spawn on top of each other. So pretty much come phase three Raksha is getting a big slurp of that shadow anima. I pretty much choose to clear pools over the period of the fight to minimize the amount of pools there are phase 3 since pretty much the shadow anima is one if not the biggest factor in getting KO’d if it buffs him to the point that damage even with prayer flicking still hits hard. The shadow anima buff is 1% damage for each percent of shadow anima and point 5 percent defense buff for each percent of shadow anima. Don’t go trying this right away. If I can offer some assistance, I have a video I made of myself about… a year or two ago, video of a full Raksha kill, I put it up Unlisted on RUclips since I just wanted it for me for posterity sake. If you have an email business or a discord I would be glad to send it your way to give you a visual representation of what I do/ what I explained. Granted some of the gear outdated and I have a sgb eof but I think it might help to visualize it if you would like that. It’s up to you, you are the content creator and have the final say on it. But ether way I hope it goes well and look forward to seeing the progress.
Similarly starting the same Raksha grind after getting gcon/zuk cape. While I already have the boots, Im trying to get that abyssal scourge. Pain with the new wildy update.
Great video. i just started trying out raksha myself a few days ago (solo) and i managed to get like 6-7 kills so far :) i belive i got my first kill after like 20 tries, and thats with pretty good gear(sirenic, sgb etc) so its not easy ^^ what screwed me over the most was his tailswipe tbh, but it got alot better when i turned sounds on. After roughly 50 tries i still dont feel that comfterble. Its like 50/50 if i get the kill or not. One day we'll get there, both of us :)
the main hand would be p6 a1 and offhand a4 e2, so then you'll always have aftershock equipped and not lose the progress, and still benefit from the 200% when your off hand with a4 is back on
It is bad to put as4 on main hand? I did it on my dual cywir and i'm very happy with that, i have my caroming and plantef feet switches on virtus book and crystal orb.
You can always afk and do the dinos, it's easy to do. You can even use a cannon at the venomous ones. Stand in the bushes and pew pew at them. I pop an aggro pot and you can bring them all to you and never take damage. If you do, the dinos drop food so often that you will heal yourself back. No prayer is needed even
So I don't know if this will be any help. But you don't actually need lacerations to use bladed dive efficiently. I learned solo Raksha with dual wield melee. Just gotta hit te right blob and it will clear em all. I'm now at like 200 kc (still no lacs) and I don.t make mistakes with it likes 95% of the time. Just need to target the furthest blob so you end up in the middle so you hit them all. I found this way easier then using chins.
I like a hellhound familiar for damage reduction when learning and I never, EVER use solid foods anymore because it takes away 10% adrenaline. Jellyfish are so much better because you can chug them without losing adrenaline thus you don't lose important threshholds or ultimates. Sharks are basically useless IMO because of the adrenaline penalty.
I never got the hang of killing Raksha the regular way, but I've managed 600 solo KC using the Revo melee strategy. Just need Grico and a third spike and I'll be done forever. Iron btw.
I think mechanized chins is still super doable, i got my first 100 odd kills like that before bothering to learn bladed dive Most of these clips of you dying are messing up other mechanics, and the shadow juice is just making them more punishing
Making me wanna play this again lol are there still ppl playing rs3 like that? Cuz most of what I got left to do on iron is all team stuff so idw like rebond and have no one to group with
Some group-only bosses have been retuned to allow for solo players, although they're still pretty difficult, possibly more so. But there are resources for finding groups both through in-game clan/friends chats and discords. I hang around in the iron pvm clan chat whenever I'm logged in and I see groups forming for all sorts of things all the time. AoD, raids, vorago, croesus. Finding people to PvM with is pretty easy, especially among the iron community. Seems to be a bit more forgiving to lower-tiered players.
"I hate this game" - Spoken by a fan of any game. A true constant in the universe haha.

technically ruby baks work terribly with dbow cause you're wasting the effect, better to spam hydrix bolts for the whole fight if you have a dbow eof
Props to you for actually pushing to solo Raksha, I rather duo as I do the pools since everyone else seems to hate doing it

But he wouldn't be able to use it with a 2h Melee weapon still
Your usual update video truly the best April fool.

1:52 nice

ive never played this game but this is very intresting to watch

also it means you don't need aftershock on every off hand, just the one you keep on the most :)
It is bad to put as4 on main hand? I did it on my dual cywir and i'm very happy with that, i have my caroming and plantef feet switches on virtus book and crystal orb.

That's some stubborn ass mentality and I love it. "I aint no leech and I don't need no carry
Are you set on soloing? You can duo raksha, BOTH people get drops, and its literally 2x easier for the non tank (dont need to ever dodge tail swipes)
Ayup, this is spot on for the devs.

yes, another video!
I wish you the best luck on this boss. I'm like 1250 with 0 grico. It's my last drop until log and I just want to be done lol
That bodes well.
How many chains/spikes?
I started with mech chins and made it to about 80 kills, got scourge recently and even without boots bladed dive is sufficient
Wait, why can’t you just use dual wield to BD the pools? It’s a little harder than with 2h, but it seems like a better solution
try to drop the smoke bombs to the south of the boss, so u dont deal with extra dmg while killing the pools
keep going brother love u video
0:20 I felt that to the core. I hate this game.
Tbh I’d say it’s more worth doing other content and getting magic gear and then doing solak. Easier to get then ascen imo especially on iron
If you ever wanna duo I can do the pools and you can focus on tanking :p
I can do duos sometime if u want (I’ll tank)
I never got the hang of killing Raksha the regular way, but I've managed 600 solo KC using the Revo melee strategy. Just need Grico and a third spike and I'll be done forever. Iron btw.

I feel your pain bro there is nothing worse than trying to finish a crossbow and getting a f****** pet lol
