Disney's "Pancho, The Fastest Paw in the West" Season 15 Ep 16

From Season 15 of Walt Disney's Disneyland Anthology program we have Episode 16: Pancho, The Fastest Paw in the West which originally aired on February 2nd, 1969. The year is 1880 and the setting is the Texas Panhandle, where a runaway orphan named Manuel and his dog, Pancho, are helped by Sam Larabee, a kindly peddler. The trio travels together, finding work wherever possible, just glad to be living free. Starring Armando Islas as Manuel, Frank Keith as Sam Larabee and Albert Hachmeister as Jack Kelso.

Besr movie a faithful dog protects his master horse . Here the dog too shows that he had an inheritance mind. It goes so far and it goes to be good movie. Bravo.Amen.

I find it personally unfortunate that the Anthology series would go on for another 16 seasons as the majority of these post-Walt episodes sound and look uninteresting for the most part compared to the episodes that were produced while Walt was alive. However, I do suspect they kept the anthology series going as I guess some of these live-action episodes were probably harder to sell individually than part of something else. This kept going until it moved to CBS for its final two seasons from NBC where it was canceled by CBS in 1983 then it was specials only until Micheal Eisner made a new version of the anthology series in 1986. So the years between 1983 to 1986 are the transition period where Classic Disney (Walt Disney Productions) ends and modern Disney (The Walt Disney Company) begins
