I actually cried when I heard George, the young lad, speak about being betrayed by his country. He is 100% correct. How far back does it go? Go back to at least 1968 and Enoch Powell, when he spoke about the dangers of immigration in his "Rivers of Blood" speech. We have been betrayed by each successive government since then.

Hi Louise. I had a tear in my eye too. I am so sad and angry that every government since the war has sold this country out. As Sir Humphrey once said in Yes Minister - 'The Foreign Office is not there to protect the interests of Britain, it's there to protect the interests of foreigners, that's why they call it The foreign Office'.

Love this comment, absolutely spot on. It breaks my heart to see what this once great country has been reduced to, and worse is yet to come. I'm grateful to have been young when I was, when for most of us this lovely country was a wonderful place to live. It's completely unrecognisable as the same country now, never imagined we'd end up like this.

We have a massive influx of migrants, there are strikes across the industries, there is no money in the pot, our debt is almost 100% of GDP, bills are through the roof, the NHS is in crisis, as is the fabric of our education system, people on benefits are rewarded for not working, the hard working tax payer in constantly penalised.

There is still time come the next election if we all vote for the Reform UK party & he stands for election! Labour may be ahead in the polls but then they tend to be bias for the opposition party running up to the election. Look at what the Brexit party did when it stood! it changed the face of the election even though it did not win outright! If they had not stood down in all the red wall seats and many others to allow the tories a free run they could have won back in 2019. Reform UK is basically that same party!

Taiwan is the premier nation for the development and production of microchips that the modern world depends on...in your computer, your phone, your car to name the most basic personal use, never mind everything else that depends upon it. Taiwan produces 60% of the worlds semiconductors and 90% of the most advanced ones. Why do you think the USA has just done a deal to start manufacturing there? Nowhere in the world is anywhere near as advanced and the majority of the highest spec smallest nanochips are made by one company, TSMC.

It was supposed to address the unfairness of raising the retirement age for women, but in the interest of equality men were entitled to them as well The current Mayor has cut the hours that they can be used, in the first place, to help social distancing, but then, changed the reason to make extra money.
