My 85 year old mother sat in the rain and freezing for the whole game she wouldn’t leave early even when she thought the game was over and then the team gifted her a miracle right in front of her………worth it she said.
even at 3 quarter time i did not believe we would've win that. but holy sh!t is right. from 41 points down and coming back strong and DBJ!!! you are our new hero!

From the perspective of emotions at the end of a game, honestly the last time I felt like that was back in 2017 with the Ryder to Gray moment against St Kilda.

I'm Gutted. in 45+ years I have never walked away from a Port game no matter how bad we were losing. But about 1/4 way into the 3rd quarter I couldn't watch anymore. I turned the tele off and said to my wife, " we are getting slaughtered, and that game is a disgrace" (including the umpiring) . I could not believe it when I checked the scores later in the night. I went to the AFL web site and watched their ' last 2 minutes' vid of the game .... and I had tears in my eyes when DBJ put that ball through. I must have rewatched that last two minutes about 20 times or more. I'm so happy for the Bois that they had the belief in themselves, and I am ashamed that I didn't.
I was at the game mate. I told my son and wife that I was leaving at 3 quarter time. But something made me stay. Experienced one of the best feelings in the world. Had a tear reading your comment. Go the power

I told my friend hawthorn supporter and my friend who was crows as well I thought we were going to choke the last 10 minutes of the game but we managed to beat hawthorn in life last minute incredible

I don't know how we won that game. The team was off from the get-go and lacked the dare and intensity they displayed against the Cats but somehow Port managed to win. I think it's clear that Port has to be switched on mentally and physically because otherwise the team will struggle to win. To the boys' credit, they managed to get stuck in the last quarter and willed themselves to victory.
Special props to Butters for having one of the best quarters ever with 17 touches and getting that last crucial clearance, JHF for being only midfielder forward of the centre to compete and tried his heart out in the first half and to Dan Houston for his 3 goals. We bank the win but the mindset has to change for future games. DBJ you absolute legend with that soccer goal in the last few seconds to win the game and Willie for kicking the previous goal in 11 seconds from 50 out.
Onwards to the Roos at Tassie.
I was at Gig service, I look at my phone , the score was 68 to hawks 79 than I pray 🙏 please God let them kick two goals, than it happened, I see number jump from 68 to 80 than it says final I was so happy inside. Greatest comeback 😎

As I seem to say most weeks, I'm glad we left with four points, but we had zero business winning that monstrosity. There was a great 45 seconds against a bottom-four team, yay. But the remaining minutes of the game show what finals would look like - a slaughter. Kudos to DBJ, Rioli, Butters, JHF, and Houston. You need better teammates. Hope Ollie is okay.

No Rioli didn't take 10 seconds then kick the goal, he kicked it straight away, would have lost the game if he took 10 seconds. Nice boot from 50 metres!

Wines condition is paroxysmal atrial fibrillation. Very common. No reason why he won't play next week,unless he has another episode. Usually lasts a few hours to a day,but lots of people live a normal life with it.Medication can help if required.

I love the heart to make that kind of comeback, but I'd feel a lot better if it were against Sydney or the Pies. We never take advantage of the weaker sides to gain %. I hope the Roos don't take us down to the wire.
Hawks were tougher at the ball for 90% of the time and the umpires were shit for 100% of the time
