Something we forgot to mention in the video, that a lot of people have been concerned about on other videos, is that we have finished insulating under the cabin! It will be nice and warm on the toes, especially after we add skirting to the cabin this summer.

Nice that you have old doors for the interior, nice and solid as opposed to new hollow ones! Your cabin is looking so great.

Thanks! I was really excited about finding the doors, we even got the original key with them.

Just discovered your channel-what a delightful cabin you guys have built! That beautiful wall of windows facing South is stunning. Totally understand the struggle of getting more panels, we’re going through that too. I enjoy that you guys talk about using affordable materials that still work well. When it comes to winter, you can’t have single pane windows 😂

Anytime I see a cabin with a lot of big windows i think about having to wash them or sitting in the sun glare. It looks amazing though!

I have been thinking about the window cleaning task as well.... maybe I will do a video about it once I find a good method haha.

Do not collect water that has gone on the solar panels. The panels have dangerous chemicals on them and are not safe to drink. Nice cabin.

Love the update! You are so wise about closing in the loft and I love the bookshelf idea. It will be so cozy to read up there! Do you have the plans for your cabin? When is your goal to move in?

Thanks! I am looking forward to a cozy cabin read. We hope to move in sometime this summer but are not in a big hurry. You can send me an email if you are interested in the cabin plans we drew up.

Root cellar, take off everything but the empty shell, and bury it. Or a outside cooler

Amazing cabin! I’m currently pursuing a 16x24 with a very similar style. Still having some hiccups with plans. If there is any way you had any plan’s available it would be greatly appreciated 😃

NO Headers on your exterior windows and doors? No drain on your tank for overflow?

Your cabin is coming along nicely. It is very well planned out too. What on demand hot water heater are you using?

Thank you, I will try to remember to check the next time we are at the cabin (I can't remember the model). We did get it at the Cabin Depot.

Please be extra careful with that refrigerator around young children. That is an old style refrigerator that has a handle latch. Children can play around with the refrigerator and climb inside then the door can close and latch without a way for the child to get out. The child then suffocates and dies. That happened many, many times with that old style fridge as I was growing up in the 50’s and 60’s. We always removed the door from the fridge whenever the refrigerator was not in use. Please be careful.
