Scorsese also, recently, appeared in Killer of the Flower Moon as a radio show host at the end of the movie.
Kubrick is also in the record store in "A Clockwork Orange" (back to the camera), he's in a single frame of film early in "Lolita," and is the voice of Murphy in "Full Metal Jacket."
Does it qualify as a cameo the fact that in 2010: The Year We Make Contact, in the scene at the long-term care facility where David Bowman's mother is being cared for, we see a nurse reading TIME, and on the front of the magazine are images of Arthur C. Clarke and Stanley Kubrick? Or would that be considered an 'Easter Egg'?
@@davidyoung5114 - That's a little mini tribute to Kubrick and Clarke on the magazine, from director Peter Hyams. Hyams is a great guy, worships Kubrick, gives great interviews, but honestly speaking, "2010" is a ridiculously bad film, and it really should never have been made.
I like Todd Phillips’ style, all his cameos is playing a pervert
Same with producers molested upcoming actress todd philipp just playing perv in a film not in real life (:
Todd Phillips could definitely play Quentin Tarantino in a documentary or something
Cronenberg also makes an uncredited appearance in "Videodrome."
Kevin Smith has been in most of his movies, even co-starred in a few.
The Kevin Smith one is not a cameo. Silent Bob is a major character over the course of most of Kevin Smith's films.
It’s still that character making a cameo
You missed some:
Quentin Tarantino - Inglorious Basterds
Michael Bay - Armageddon
Peter Jackson - King Kong
Martin Scorsese - Raging Bull
Less not forget Frank Miller and Robert Rodriguez in Sin City
Love this. Always hyped to see Hitchcock in his films
Notice Wes Craven's cameo in Scream. He dressed up similar to Freddy Kruger his other famous movie. I like that, putting his one movie into another movie. It fits too because both films are scary movies..... RIP Craven :(
1:09 They killed Peter Jackson D:
So many things were happening it was hard to keep track of everyone and read the text. What made it worse was the text was white with no dark transparent background.
Jon Favreau not only directed iron man but plays a character in it.... That more than any director cameoed
2:51 Spike Lee is also in Summer of Sam as a reporter, but that's a slightly bigger role.
if stanley was a director..whoo!boy!
Todd Phillips wins.
Todd Philipps also appeared in Due Date, in the scene where Ethan does an impression of the Godfather
0:42 The King of Comedy was 1983, also Scorsese has a voiceless cameo in 1988"s The Last Temptation of Christ as Isaiah.
Great video, but there's also Mel Brooks, John Huston. And I don't think I would count Kevin Smith as a cameo. If so then you would have to also include Buster Keaton, Charlie Chaplin. Smith, Keaton and Chaplin directed their own movies but also played a major role not just a guest spot.
I had no idea that was Mike Judge
The guy who makes Beavis and Butt-Head
more! I demand more!
ya forgot Jon Favreau in Ironman 1 + 2
they aren't cameos.
Reservoir Dogs with Tarantino is missing.
You know director Frank Miller and Robert Rodriguez use to be in a Sin City movie
i love it, but you forgot quentin in reservoir dogs
+Gen. Kiizaru in reservoir dogs he does a main character, not a cameo
Clean shaven Peter Jackson fighting bearded Peter Jackson in Bad Taste must be right up there for Director appearances. Total wink at the audience, who know who plays both characters.
Great vid!!!
I dont think cameo means what you guys think it means.
I mean come on, you have to end with Django, am I right?
reservoir dogs?
And the king of Cameos??? Stan Lee?
Francisco Tavara except he wasn’t a director
I would say Hitchcock is the King of Cameos
no sydney pollack in tootsie?
WOW I didnt know that many directors do that many cameos of course Hitchcock wins because he was the first to do it.
Quentin Tarantino: A+ director/ D- actor.
Idk man. I think he was pretty fuckin good in his part in pulp fiction. Still cool if it doesn’t do it for u tho.
@nightwraith7673 probably right haven't seen it yet, but his part in reservoir dogs wasn't bad at all either
You forgot Garry Marshall!!
keep it going..... ❤
Better than Stan Lee cameos.
which song is this?
+Ingwar de Vos I just Google Music (listen thing) and found out it's 'Doors and Distance' from Birdman OST. I thought it was that, especially as I watched it the day before. Think the song appears as Keaton and Norton walk through the street and you see the performer playing the song.
***** You're awesome too, thanks for reminding me about it a day later.
Is that Really James Cameron???
Yep at 0:55 the guy getting his beard shaven
...James Cameron is not in this scene wtf?
Actually yeah, he’s the guy getting his beard shaven at 0:55.
What about Tommy Weisau
Where is James Cameron???
+Elaini but who is ???
+Elaini thank you 😊
did spielberg never made a cameo?
He had a bit part in Blues Brothers, but that was directed by John Landis. There’s a rumor he’s somewhere in the airport sequence in Temple of Doom, but I haven’t seen him.
so you even know how James Cameron looks like?
*edit* Nevermind. I'm an idiot.
+Melissa Salisbury No need to beat yourself up!
Todd Philips does it properly....go in for the laugh, get the fuck out!
