Them performing here is the reason I decided to enter the farm. Only a few idol group joined this competition before like 2016 those years and they did an amazing performance every time. They even won which I think the first girl group who won in this show. Who wouldn't become a fan? They are just built different. Sooo different!

I heard there was some grumbling over Mamamoo being invited to such a prestigious competition show when they were still rookies but they quickly earned the respect of their seniors and were invited back over and over. C'EST LA VIE"...... oh! I haven't listened in forever! It is a very competitive show. With some the best vocalist in SK, no matter the genre. The gentleman with the glasses and nodding along is the original artist of the song they are "recreating", right in front of him which is another set of nerves. The audience votes and they find out almost immediately if they accumulated more votes than the previous person that had the highest during that show. MMM have won it 3 times.

Immortal Songs IS A competition show. What cracks me up is some of my favorites weren't even the episode winners. There are sooo many AMAZING Korean singers. Can you imagine arrogant American singers competing like this?
seems no one has explained the format of this incredible show just of yet, so just thought i'd give you some context. IS is a competition show. they invite a veteran singer, and every participant of the show (soloist, or group) performs their rendition of something out of the veteran's discography. which means what you're hearing being performed on this show is music from 20 - 30 years ago. mamamoo owes a lot of their early exposure to this show and is what really cemented their reputations as vocal queens. people were critiquing mamamoo for first participating on the show 6 months into their debut, as they were considered a rookie girl group and it's a show that mostly saw seasoned soloists. of course, they've gone on to win multiple times, and as far as i know, is the only girl group to have ever accomplished this in the history of the show.
Funfact on Queendom, when the other groups were asked who they don’t want to be in the competition the most, they said Mamamoo (Mamamoo was supper chilled though, they were even forgot that they won a special effect price in that competition and didn’t use it at all😂)

You're right, Immortal Song performances usually do get blocked. Maybe because you paused so much? KBS used to have all of the Immortal Song complete shows on You Tube. It is a competition and the cut away shots were often other acts in the waiting room watching the performance.
I knew it!! I was beginning to think that I only dreamed the full episodes were on RUclips. Lol. I watch the show on Kokowa+ but it's missing most of the Mamamoo performances plus the Baekhyun and Chen performance. I loved hearing the commentary from other artists.

@@moo5289 yeah, I know you can find full episodes online but I just don't trust those sites because my friend did that and said x rated pop ups kept appearing. Mamamoo episodes on IS were amazing. Seeing the other artist react was great. When they performed Way to Sampo, I loved when one of the other artists was surprised Hwasa was only 19 and another artist said there was no way Hwasa should be able to growl like that at such a young age. Not to mention the reaction from Jo Young-nam. There is one reactor who was like, " they've killed him. He's dead." Lol
