Ah, the Rumble in the Jungle... The fight that everyone has an unspoken agreement about to pretend wasn't a sham. Love Ali - one of the all-time greats and one of my personal faves. I've watched ALL of his fights, but this fight was skewed for him big time. Held George like it was MMA all fight and when he put him down, George was counted out at 8! The undefeated, undisputed HW champ counted out as he rises on 8 count. Funny how George never got rematch...
I just want to thank you for this video, this really put my situation into perspective since my whole life is seemingly telling me to get into fighting professionally and after seeing guys like Buster Douglas and Ruiz in this video like you've shown, you've just further inspired me to look out for what I have to go up against in the future potentially.
It’s always the same story in boxing. Fighters grow up, get their act together and get serious about their training when their bodies can’t perform anymore.
its not just fighting bruh thats basically how life goes! when you finally get old enough & wise enough to make real money ur too damn old & tired to enjoy it right!
His weight had nothing to do with his loss. He won the 1st fight because Joshua hurt him and went in for the kill he got in Ruiz’s range and he got caught. The 2nd fight Joshua was not going to get in Ruiz’s range he kept the fight on the outside.
People lie so much about this fight that it's frustrating because the whole point of the rematch was Joshua fighting the fight he'd been trained to fight in their 1st meeting. Joshua got reckless and excited and it opened him up. He and Rob McCracken mention in the dazn mini documentary that Joshua was actually getting frustrated in the 2nd fight coz he wanted to crack, and his team kept telling him to pull back and box, and that was frustrating because he was seeing it work, but all he wanted to do was pay Andy back but he had to remain disciplined. I'm paraphrasing btw
Stfu Joshua it's my top heavywight righrnow but lets be honest Andy Ruiz has way more skills then anyother heavywight rn. Beat Parker by aleast 3 points in his backyard got robbed and of he beating Anthony in the first fight was a sucker u just a mf*King casual plain and simple.
More importantly, he didn't hurt him and that was the issue. AJ was distracted by the occasion, and after Wilder having a big first round KO shortly before so he felt he needed to impress on his debut on the way to making the big Wilder fight eventually. The moment Ruiz went down, instead of thinking about it or actually assessing if he was hurt, AJ just went in with limited defence thinking Ruiz was vulnerable. That was the main mistake, if Ruiz was vulnerable although it's not impossible AJ could have got caught it's less likely. But Ruiz wasn't, the mistake was thinking he was hurt.
@@SaiSaiGre Andy was just too fast for Joshua, plus Mexicans love close combat, n Andy did just that, attacked Joshua like an angry bull, which Joshua never expected.. In the 2nd fight, Joshua's camp knew better than to go toe to toe vs Andy Ruiz, plus friendly judges were gonna give him the win with him just jabbing n running, like seen with Tank vs Cruz.. In the end it's all about ratings, like in any sport..
Nothing has been redefined here; it's a story that has happened throughout the history of the sport. In fact, heaps of folks were suspicious of Joshua's ability to take a punch or handle an up-tempo pressure fight. Maybe a pair of "fast hands" can get you to the top but you're going to need a lot more than that to stay there... seriously though, nobody can take away Ruiz's achievements, so definitely kudos to him.
The Buster Douglas, Ali juxtaposition less than 2 minutes in... complete with hilariously understated caption: This man deserves my full attention. Subbed.
Dislike him. He's such a simpleton. All it took was one taste of money and fame and he lost all desire to train and fight. Becoming the first man of Mexican descent to win a heavyweight title was big, and he could've been hugely popular, but now he's just huge. What a shame.
I'm not even really a boxing fan (way more into MMA) but you have excellent narration and presentation skills. Subbed just because of the high quality content.

You're showing pics of Morrison and Buster Douglas...implying that they were, somehow one-hit wonders. That's an absolutely false notion regarding those two fighters specifically as both Morrison and Douglas had quite a few notable victories against viable Heavyweight contenders and champions themselves.
Also it is incorrect to say Douglas didn't turn up for the Holyfield fight... Yes he had put on weight, but he clearly came to fight...most people didn't watch the fight, Douglas was trying but Holyfield was probably at his very best and was sensational and dangerous in that fight (I don't know if roids were involved) but Douglas was clearly upset and disappointed to lose, he didn't want to lose the belt.

He won the belt on short notice. AJ was training for a different guy.
Ironically, Ruiz and Jarrell "Big Baby" Miller just fought to a draw a few weeks ago. Miller was supposed to fight AJ at the time Ruiz fought him, but he failed a drug test.
@@GreatMewtwo and big baby just fought da real big baby. lol
Every person is different. For some people they only dream of winning a title once, but there are other people who need to always be winners..
I am glad that he fully enjoyed his moment.
The latter are the true winners and elites of the sport.
@@raulramirez9657 nope. Ruiz is also a winner but just not elite...you can't call loser to a man who was a champion even tho he lost the rematch. Ruiz is good and a former champion but he is not elite thats all
Not you (random mf ) making excuses for a loser like Ruiz 😂
A TRUE winner is what I meant. Definitely not a loser but he was a one hit wonder

Now AJ is out there knocking out people like Ngannou like he's playing with a heavy bag.

Andy Ruiz reminds me of Android 19 from DBZ lmao

@SaiSaiGre imagined if Andy had been disciplined a.j 2nd fight result would been the same...
I honestly think Andy has some baby weight and a lot of potential for an older champ in the future

Aj truly never got his get back! To get knocked tf out by this man and only win by points in a rematch will always be the facts.
Dislike him. He's such a simpleton. All it took was one taste of money and fame and he lost all desire to train and fight. Becoming the first man of Mexican descent to win a heavyweight title was big, and he could've been hugely popular, but now he's just huge. What a shame.

0:21 I remember people saying he had a weighted sombrero and was just trying to throw off AJ 😂🥊
Pair of clowns
Your aim shouldn't be to just become champion, it should be to get the belt and defend it 🤣
