Shot Put 2022 USATF New England Indoor Masters - 15.37 meters / 6kg shot put / age group (50-54)

2022 season opener at USATF New England Indoor Masters Championship. Video is my best throw of 15.37 meters (50’5”) with 6kg (13.23 lbs) shot put. I took first place in my age group (50-54 years young). It was a good start, but I think I have more in me. It will be fun trying to find out.

Way to go Joe! I was a competitive HS shot putter and turning 58. Went out today and started throwing. Only had my old 12 so I need to get a 6 KG. broke 38 with a spin and 35 from the power throw. Any tips for us old horses please share!
