I've been a fan since I was 16 I'm 37 now this brings me back thank you so much for getting me through my childhood and thank you for still playing now you don't know how much your music means to me
I never knew this existed. This song is timeless and I loved the liner notes to it. Thank you for so many amazing songs. But this one especially has brought me so much joy and tears without wavering for so many years and countless times in my life. Thank you thank you.
Love this arrangement. I think I emailed Chris for the chords for this when I was trying to learn it (from an old Compaq computer in an apartment shared with a bunch of roommates). Still one of my top ten albums.
Hey Chris. This might be my last few hours on the planet so I just wanted to let you know. Your music fundamentally changed me as a person, I became more caring, kind, strong, brave. I can't recognize who I was before I discovered Mineral. I am a 25, almost 26 year old grad student and I live in Bangladesh and tomorrow I wil be attending the state reform protests, which coincides with counterprotests from armed fascist goons. I will try to hand out water, saline, and possibly first aid.I have a pocket knife and a stone sling if it comes down to the worst. The lyrics of your songs will be in my mind the whole time giving me strength. I regret the fact that I might never get to see Mineral or The Gloria Record Live, so please, one day if things settle down, come play live in our bottomless basket of a country that we fight and give our lives for. The sun is falling down again on your end and rising in mine. I am preparing for the worst and hoping for the best. Please keep making music and give hope to the depressed.
Thank you for this kind note. It heartens me. Please know that I go with you as you proceed. And no matter what happens I will carry you and your words with me as well. By sharing them you have strengthened and changed me as much as I have you. The world is young and we have tried so little, who can say what is possible for us now. In solidarity, CS
@@csmountaintimeHi Chris, I am not hurt. It feels like being struck by a cane just concentrated to one point. It hurts more to remove them, as they squeeze it out with surgical pliers. I am starting to regret being shot.My classmates are out there and I am not there to protect them. Please keep them in your heart. I wrote this Message in two parts earlier but it didn't go through because the fascist pigs shut down our internet.
I'm okay. It feels like being struck by a cane but concentrated to a point. I'm starting to feel something in my back and thighs so I'm gonna get an xray and have the pellets removed. RUclips is censoring me pls put your email in the about section of your channel. I can talk to you there.
I usually have my guitars tuned three steps down in Zookeeper/Mountain Time. So C# standard. Meaning C#/F#/B/E/G#/C#. But since the original Mineral recording is in drop D, the C# is tuned down to a B here, as @maynotbeastar noted.

I was shot with pellets, 30 of them. 28 removed and 2 disintegrated. I survived. Thank You for giving me strength.
@@Palisade5810always. So glad to hear you’re alive. And how are things now? Will you have to go back out? Will be thinking of you.
