I play Pokemon competitively and casually. All the videos on my channel are made for myself as a hobby! My main audience is people like myself who have grown up playing Pokemon just like myself! My second series of advice:
He mentions a Miltank farm, and yes, you should definitely make one. Moomoo milk is a constant supply of 100 hp recovery. Just remember that you need to have them in a habitat they like.
There’s a desert biome, instead of the Ghost, a horde of Cacturne will chase you at night randomly. Also, the desert has Drapion, which will always be aggressive even if you don’t provoke them. This is home to one of the dungeons in the game!
This isn’t really useful, but something I like to do is make my roads out of the bridge tile that Machop can build. To do this, you have to use dig to get water over the path you want. Kinda tedious when other options exist, but yeah.
Certain Pokémon can Teleport, in order to use this skill tho, you need to build a Warp Plate (Edit: It’s called the Beacon). This requires Life Force (Edit: And Psi Energy, from psychic types, and Dusk Stones, from breaking stones in a graveyard), which comes from Ghost types.
You can ride some Pokémon. This may not seem as useful when flying exists, but Ride mons can jump over fences, which is nice if you get trapped by your mons blocking your gate. They can also be used to jump over ledges and up mountains withiut needing to wait for the flying animation (you won’t have to stop and wait everytime you want to interact with something.) Ponyta and Rapidash are nice because they also light up around you.
Also, while Duraludon doesn’t do anything “cool”, it does produce Metal Coats. Other steel types do this as well. Steelix and Lucario are examples that I remember seeing in the game
The certain pokemon that can teleport are psychic types, all psychic type pokemon can teleport just like how all ground type pokemon can dig

My first attempt was a disaster so I restarted. On the second attempt I befriended two starter mons a Charmander and Totodile and both of them were SHINY.
I hope I can find some shiny pokemon soon!
Don't worry I'm sure you'll find one soon! I only encountered them due to pure luck, but I'm very certain you'll find one. At best you'll find a shiny Muk and I should because I have one.

My guess that it's random. I tried checking but there wasn't anything about the shiny odds. Either I missed it or it wasn't mentioned.
@@kurogaishinzaki1299 I've looked everywhere in the oficial posts but there's no mention of it. I downloaded the game today and already got 2 shinies... so maybe it's somewhere between 1 in 500 and 1 in 1000? I can only guess
Alolan Raichu is a very useful multi-use Pokemon for early game. I found a few* by my spawn point and caught both at level 12 and 14. They can Surf, Teleport, and Power. Quite useful. :) Just throwing that out there for anyone trying the game for the first time.
I'm also just starting out after finally getting it to work on my Steam Deck.

Started playing this because of this series!!! Just found 2 Venusaurs with Bulba eggs and got a shiny Bulbasaur on the first egg I stole from them 😂
I'm jealous I want a shiny bulba!
Don't know if you figure out later, but you can plant apricorns to grow trees. They spawn at dawn next day and always give 2 apricorns of a random color.
Growing then on sand gives middle sized trees giving 2 apricorns and 2 wood. Might have overdone the reforestation of my beach home xD

@@Unstopablness found it randomly and because I hadn't figured out how to stop field moves I literally had to keep planting until all of the apricorns i wanted to plant were gone^^ so if you replay, be smarter than me, holding the B button ends planting trees as well. but unfortunately, you can'tz just plant certain kinds. You always get a random mix of apricorns. Every tree will bear 2 apricorns of the same kind but the kind is random.
I naively had hoped I could plant purely blue apricorns for lure balls. However they just seem to have the higghes likelyhood of appearing, given I after three or four days of field work had 99 Lure balls.

@@Unstopablness you're welcome. You won't believe how much of a relief it is to have effectively infinite pokeballs. Plus trees look pretty around the house.
I started today and ended up getting two level 55 Dragonites. So... I am now the guardian of my future town.

I just started playing this game and my second pokemon was a charmander, lv17. It was friendly and Charmanders are my favorite pokemon ever :)

The 0.9 update is planned to have multiplayer!
Maybe when 0.9 comes out (which adds around 70 ish pokemon) Unstopableness could somewhat pick up this series once more, creating a server of sorts for fans to join and play on. I’d enjoy that.
Just recounted and it’s actually over 200 pokemon that are set to be added in 0.9
apparently you can find wild charmander in laws, at least mine shiny i found there

@@Unstopablness btw, if you find a graveyard, don't interact with what looks like a plush that isn't moving, it'll immediately become an aggressive mimikyu that chases you if you run from the battle

Ghost-types currently don't have a special field move if that's what you mean 😅 I'm open to ideas.
@@SheerSt Maybe they can let you walk through walls? Kinda like fly, but you’re still able to get into encounters and stuff. Or maybe if you have a ghost type at the front of the team, you get night vision or can see what the Ghost is if you encounter it.
Edit: By night vision, I mean it makes the night less of a dark shade. Not *too* useful, but stillx

When you build a fence how do you get a gate to go with it? Ive built mine for my extra pokemons and it wouldn't let me build a gate
Build a fence and leave a gap. Put the door in the gap and it will make a gate

@@LovelyCinccino I believe pressing c and v while using dig allows you to place specific biome floors granted you have the right material for them
