@@michaelmaze2083 This isn't a ROM, it's a standalone game to be played on the PC. I believe there is a port for JoiPlay on Androids, but I know nothing about that and it's not officially supported.
@riccardomosena4162 and that, my friend, is where you're wrong. Ninja, or better shinobi, could be samurai. Also, those black clothes that shinobi are famous for isnt what they would have worn most of the time. That would be far to obvious. They usually were dressed like normal people.
Samurai could only be ninja if they had no clan, which most then became ronnin, ninja were mainly merchants and farmers (the lower class) who worked for the samurai, ninjas work in the shadows, stabbing in the dark, whilst it's very effective, it goes against the code of honour, hence why they the samurai (higher class, noble status) employed them. The titles are a way of life. But you are right, ninjas clothes would differentiate, but a samurai would always present themselves with their katanas to show their status (power of high justice) regardless of being in normal clothes or not.
My favorite fan game of all time is gotta be pokemon reborn, not only it's challenging but also has a really amazing storyline. I'm currently at the postgame
Watching one of the team members Thundaga work on this on his twitch was a amazing thing and now seeing it complete and played by one of my favorite PokeTubers feels like a milestone has been passed.
My favorite fan game has to be Pokémon insurgence, I personally loved the delta Pokémon concept it was amazing, my personal fav delta mon had to be delta charizard which was my starter option but still was a great delta mon and his mega was super sick
My favorite fan rom is Pokemon Unbound, is just absolutely the best I've played. Unique starters, multiple difficulty settings, a daily sidequest system, the means to make a fully competitive team in a way that feels like a solid mid-point between vanilla tedium and cheaty pokemon editors, gyms and elite 4 with their own unique quirks, all in a very well done custom region. It has Dexnav, it has daily raids, character customization, IT HAS A CUSTOM SOUNDTRACK. Its just about everything you could want from a romhack. Also, just released a massive update polishing off a huge number of things. My mind is still blown by the one gym effect that instead of just fainting, a pokemon TEMPORARILY DEVOLVES if it can. Its well worth a revisit with the latest updates too; The 2.0+ updates basically make it a whole new game with all the reworks. From gym leader overhalls, to a story rewrite, to multiple full route reworks, the completion of post-game content, all missions being completable now as far as I know, and even a gigantic amount of quality of life patches.

U should try Pokemon Infinite fusion It has over 170,000 pokemon fusion and it has kanto and johto region as well as pokemon till gen 5 that can be fused

My favorite fan game is for sure Pokemon Xenoverse. It has a lot of cool fakemon and the evil team is amazing for the storyline. there are challenging fights and the game looks amazing overall. I finished it like a month ago and its the best fan game i have ever played.
I love Pokemon Nameless and Pokemon Unbound. But my favorite fan-game of them all is Pokemon Adventures: Red Chapter. Such great storytelling and fakemon design. Truly one of the Pokemon fan-games of all time.
Love the idea of this fan game but man that evil team really brings it down lmao. Like you choose a samurai/ninja setting and your best idea for an evil team is bootleg team plasma. Why not have a shogunate that believes all pokemon belong to the shogun, or a group of vagrants that only care about getting stronger. So many good options that fit the setting more but considering most their characters are just anime stereotypes I guess it's asking too much
