U can't, there is not enough space for an HDD , usually laptops (older ones) have an HDD that is 2.5 inches and uses SATA 3 port (you could replace this one with an faster SSD) Other laptops uses 2,5 inches SSD on the SATA 3 cable (u could replace this one if u want with a bigger HDD) This laptop uses NVMe SSD (wich is a different port from SATA), so u can upgrade only with a NVMe SSD

I thought I'd add - there definitely *is* space for a 2.5" hdd/ssd, and a connector to go with it (source, I've just taken the back off my V15 G3-IAP, and it's there). it fits in that white panel to the lower left
What type of DDR4 is it? Is obviously not a normal one because those ones are wider, but is it SODIMM , LPDDR4, or LPDDR4x Can I upgrade it to a 16 GB one?
Hi i recently bought the V15 gen 3 with bigger 45Whr battery, i want to know if the battery has eaten up the SATA slot space, can you please confirm if it has additional RAM and SATA slot it?
@@ozmobozo Me too. But most midrange laptops i see have 500GB SSD, hence you'd go through the hassle of shelling out your pocket for bigger storage which i did.
Yes, you can upgrade the RAM. Any standard DDR4 SODIMM will work. DDR4-3200 (sold as "3200MHz") 1Rx8 or 2Rx8 will normally give the best performance, 1Rx16 is slower. There's not much point in posting links, because links are normally only relevant to a few countries and often change. RAM is a commodity, you should be able to find an 8GB 3200MHz 1Rx8 SODIMM easily using google search or in a local PC component or repair shop (if there are any such nearby shops). Just don't buy Registered or ECC RAM (designed for high-end workstation laptops) or a full size DIMM (designed for desktop PCs). XMP RAM would work, but not at XMP speed, and normal 1.2V (JEDEC) DDR4 is usually cheaper. Also any 2242 (re-using the adapter used for the current SSD) or 2280 (removing the adapter) M.2 SSD will work, as long as it doesn't have a built-in heatsink. You can use an external M.2 enclosure to copy files between the old drive and the new one.

Hey, unfortunately, yes - the larger battery eats up the space of the 2.5-inch SATA slot. However, the rest of the upgrade options are unchanged.

You should add at maximum a module with 8 gb ram in the slot
This is specified in the tehnique documentation of the laptop too
8 gb ram sodered + 8 gb ram sodimm ddr4 3200 = 16
So by adding a 16 gb module instead of 8 it gives u the black screen

Hello. It's not clear what's the orientation underneath the cover of the lower left part of the video since you did not open it.
I was wondering since the maximum RAM is 12 GB and my same laptop has 4 GB soldered can i add a 8 gbb ram stick or will it make it less efficient
yes you can and more ram is better i don't think it's dual channel so it doesn't matter
