- This video I run through the modifications I have made to my Harley Davidson Pan America.
Today I went to shoot a video, but I stuffed up the audio file, so at least you still get to see some amazing scenery in South East Qld!
Big shoutout to my buddies

Thanks for watching team! Спорт
Great stuff. I love my Pan Am and making it my own.
Love it!
On top of the world with pretty skies 👍
Great spot to have by myself!
Bin working on doing the same thing to my handlebars too couldn't find any information on it till I ran across your video tonight already have the sleeves machined thought I was being crazy sister everybody rises them
thats awesome! Im actually running the stock bars as the riser I used hit the tank bag!
Great mods you’ve put on it and the cost was really reasonable
Its going to make it awesome to ride even more
Cheers yeah small mods got me to whe re I feel comfortable, stoked with it, Pazoma Racing has been awesome they make so much stuff, not endorsed by them in any way but worth mentioning.
@@oldmanspeedadventures yeah definitely worth a mention I was thinking myself to have a look at what else they have
Looking like a HD should! Great vid Mal and thanks for the shout out brother!
Cheers mate Get Hard Stay Hard!
Upper portals, nice hill climb for the big bike
I'll have to do the hike down to the portals soon, great views ay
I am from Pazoma company, Thank you very much for your real evaluation.
I am also a Harley Pan America user, and I have personally used and tested all our Pan America parts, If you have any questions about Pan America 1250 or our parts, you can communicate with us.
Thanks again for your honest evaluation.😄
You make some good products. My handlebars are on the way. Thanks for making good priced parts for the Pan Am! I'm looking at maybe a set of Panniers soon.
Nice mods Mal and very cool of you to give a shoutout of other channels. I have subsctibed, also we need the "let me put the drone up shot again" that has me in stitches each time 🤣🤣
100% more drone footage coming! Cheers!
I set up a custom mode which I use for everyday riding on road. Base map is Sport Mode then I set the suspension to normal. No point in having a 150HP bike (at the crank) and riding it in lame mode. But hey, each to their own.
Nice I'll give that a crack!
@@oldmanspeedadventures BTW, if you want to release the beast in the twisties for a spirited ride, try Sports mode and set both engine braking and throttle response to maximum.
In order to enter the off-road plus mode you hold the ride mode button once you have selected off-road mode. You’ll see a purple circle and a plus symbol. You’ll also see the ABS with a line through it light up.
Cheers! Such a good bike ay
She's a beast mate looking forward to seeing it next Friday
Cheers mate you'll get to see it in person and roaring! See you soon!
I have just started watching your channel and have found it very informative. Having owned a 2021 Pan for the last 9 months i can say with out a doubt it is a awesome bike, Has its quirks but what bike doesn't. I would like to know where you got your adjustable foot pegs from as i could do also with lower peg height. Keep up the great work and looking forward to your next trip away on the big girl.
Gday Peter I got them here www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005607051222.html?src=google&src=google&albch=shopping&acnt=708-803-3821&slnk=&plac=&mtctp=&albbt=Google_7_shopping&albagn=888888&isSmbAutoCall=false&needSmbHouyi=false&albcp=19373925530&albag=&trgt=&crea=en1005005607051222&netw=x&device=m&albpg=&albpd=en1005005607051222&gclid=Cj0KCQjwvL-oBhCxARIsAHkOiu0vfzZ4waTjMd5RQJELLwtdnNDpcRIhPnrn_Vb7SNLgYbuhjYXNh28aAth4EALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds&aff_fcid=7dbd06ba56274c859e1952508c51c686-1695541911890-00075-UneMJZVf&aff_fsk=UneMJZVf&aff_platform=aaf&sk=UneMJZVf&aff_trace_key=7dbd06ba56274c859e1952508c51c686-1695541911890-00075-UneMJZVf&terminal_id=dc09c52b3bf2408d89332b838be88827&afSmartRedirect=y
Plenty of adventures coming on the Pan Am, thanks for jumping on board!
Great video mate, thanks for sharing. Nice mods 👍🏻👍🏻
No worries I should have the new bars next week. Stoked with the bike
I found your comment on the forks being 20mm up in the triple tree interesting. I checked my Pan Am and it was 15mm up. I adjusted it so it was flush, lifting the front end 15mm. I found the the change to the fork angle and trail was minimal, it felt slightly slower in steering, which I found better, then I'm use to slow steering from a 1988 Lowrider. I found it also helped with the sidestand, making it easier to put down, with the front end being 15mm higher. I didn't change the back end height.
Your probably right about the 15mm I just guessed it ! Yes easy mody to gain a small ground height gain and I the same hardly noticed the slightly slower steering. Such an awesome bike I'm really starting to enjoy mine. Enjoy the ride!
On my Pan Am, I've had a couple of radiator hose leaks at the clamps, on the left side, not major and goes away then the bike was warm. I got the clamps refitted, I think they had them off when they changed the starter clutch, and I've fitted additional normal radiator hose clamps.
I'll keep my eye on them and pack some spare clamps
I use the two custom modes and I edited the Offroad plus. I use the throttle response on +1, engine braking +1, and Sports power on all of them. A is a Sports suspension, sport TCS and ABS. B is Balanced suspension, road TCS and ABS. Offroad plus is Comfort suspension, rain TCS and ABS. Then when off road, I reset the Offroad plus back to default settings. The custom modes are something I really like on the bike.
That's awesome I'll have a play around thanks for the input, such a cool system!
It looks like the equivalent of a muscle car…but for Adventure bikes 💪🏼. How good is Cannon Creek Rd at the moment? Rode it north last week…smooth & flowy 👌🏼
Cheers yep makes me smile every time I see it! Might have to match it with a Jeep SRT! Yeah roads are good, lucky I was alone it's very dry would be Dusty!
Hey, curious about your handlebar clamp shims, where did you get them or did you make them yourself?
I just used a bit of 3mm flat aluminium bar, about 20mm wide, cut 2 pieces about 40mm long and bent them with a pair of vice grips, then when I tightened the bars they bent all the way into shape.
I don't think you mentioned in the video, if you did, i missed it 😮. What skid plate are you using? Are you happy with it?
Thanks...
Its the HD brand accessory skid plate.. I was lucky enough when I bought it as an ex demo it came with the radiator and sum guard. However Pazoma make a replica a lot cheaper and seems pretty good www.pazomaracing.com/en-au/products/heavy-duty-aluminum-engine-skid-plate-belly-pan-bash-plate-chassis-protection-cover-for-harley-pan-america-1250-special-ra1250s-ra1250-2021-2022
oh and am I happy with it yes, I have ridden this bike though some tough terrain, it has quite a few dents and marks, it is handling it well.
Can you provide info on the drop-down foot pegs? Looking for same, thanks!

✌️
@@oldmanspeedadventures Thank you, ordered!
@@rgh622 no problem! I have changed them since but they were solid and never had an issue, just use the provided locktite!
TKC 80 great tyre. Just wear out quick.
What sort of range did you get? Great looking tyre
As Chris said great tyre. However I could burn a rear out in under 1000km on my 1190, you might get 3000km riding conservatively
@@oldmanspeedadventures It was a while ago when I used that tyre. Only a couple of thousand K's.
@@darrylcalleja2922 wow ok thanks for the tip I might burn it up and go back to a Motoz as on my 1290
@@oldmanspeedadventures you’ll get better distance from the Motoz, I have 2 rear wheels one with a Motoz Rallz for when I’m off reading and a TKC 70 Rocks for every day use. The Rocks is a 60 on road 40 off road for gravel roads it’s not bad
How is it, Harley can build a monster bike, but can't increase the font size on the home screen...don't they know their customer base is aging,
100% agree! The font size is too small! And it should sit a bit higher too
