    I set up a custom mode which I use for everyday riding on road. Base map is Sport Mode then I set the suspension to normal. No point in having a 150HP bike (at the crank) and riding it in lame mode. But hey, each to their own.

    I have just started watching your channel and have found it very informative. Having owned a 2021 Pan for the last 9 months i can say with out a doubt it is a awesome bike, Has its quirks but what bike doesn't. I would like to know where you got your adjustable foot pegs from as i could do also with lower peg height. Keep up the great work and looking forward to your next trip away on the big girl.

    I found your comment on the forks being 20mm up in the triple tree interesting. I checked my Pan Am and it was 15mm up. I adjusted it so it was flush, lifting the front end 15mm. I found the the change to the fork angle and trail was minimal, it felt slightly slower in steering, which I found better, then I'm use to slow steering from a 1988 Lowrider. I found it also helped with the sidestand, making it easier to put down, with the front end being 15mm higher. I didn't change the back end height.

    • @oldmanspeedadventures
      @oldmanspeedadventures  11 месяцев назад +1

      Your probably right about the 15mm I just guessed it ! Yes easy mody to gain a small ground height gain and I the same hardly noticed the slightly slower steering. Such an awesome bike I'm really starting to enjoy mine. Enjoy the ride!

    On my Pan Am, I've had a couple of radiator hose leaks at the clamps, on the left side, not major and goes away then the bike was warm. I got the clamps refitted, I think they had them off when they changed the starter clutch, and I've fitted additional normal radiator hose clamps.

    I use the two custom modes and I edited the Offroad plus. I use the throttle response on +1, engine braking +1, and Sports power on all of them. A is a Sports suspension, sport TCS and ABS. B is Balanced suspension, road TCS and ABS. Offroad plus is Comfort suspension, rain TCS and ABS. Then when off road, I reset the Offroad plus back to default settings. The custom modes are something I really like on the bike.

    • @oldmanspeedadventures
      @oldmanspeedadventures  10 месяцев назад +1

      I just used a bit of 3mm flat aluminium bar, about 20mm wide, cut 2 pieces about 40mm long and bent them with a pair of vice grips, then when I tightened the bars they bent all the way into shape.

      Its the HD brand accessory skid plate.. I was lucky enough when I bought it as an ex demo it came with the radiator and sum guard. However Pazoma make a replica a lot cheaper and seems pretty good www.pazomaracing.com/en-au/products/heavy-duty-aluminum-engine-skid-plate-belly-pan-bash-plate-chassis-protection-cover-for-harley-pan-america-1250-special-ra1250s-ra1250-2021-2022
